Opis:
The article analyzes the religious situation in the Ukrainian society, as well as its impact on the formation and development of military-religious relations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 1991–2017. Religion, as one of the leading forms of social consciousness, is an important factor in the formation of civil society and in the development of channels of its communication with state institutions. The Church has traditionally played the role of an important subject of the socio-political life in the history of the Ukrainian people. The relationship between Russian-Ukrainian relations and their impact on state-religious relations in Ukraine and its Armed Forces has been studied. The main tendencies of the development of military-religious relations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been clarified. The transformation processes that influenced the change of the existing models of support of religious needs for the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the studied period, are analyzed here/in this article. In particular, some historical aspects of socio-political processes that influenced the formation and development of military-religious relations, and the institutionalization of the military clergy (chaplaincy) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the period under study are highlighted. In today’s conditions, military chaplains have gained significant experience of service in the war zone, have strong national and patriotic convictions, are able to withstand significant psychological and physical stress, and are ready to carry out pastoral service in any environment.

Jacek Woroniecki, his attitude and views were greatly influenced by his family background, environment, teachers, then the Dominicans and the eminent figures that he met in his life. At the heart of his world view lay the faith and education propounded by the Catholic Church, and – later in his life – religious formation, papal documents and the writings of church thinkers of his time. His views and thought were also influenced by the historical events that he participated in. Also, the social situation in Poland and in Europe as a whole left a mark in his perception of the world.

Obecna praca traktuje o historii i sytuacji mniejszości etniczno-religijnych w Iraku w okresie po obaleniu rządów Saddama Husajna. Społeczeństwo irackie jest bardzo zróżnicowane. Składa się na nie mozaika kultur, religii i nacji. Praca przedstawia sytuację wybranych społeczności niemuzułmańskich, które prawdopodobnie należą do najstarszych wspólnot zamieszkujących tereny dzisiejszego Iraku, a także Turkmenów, Kurdów Fajlijskich, Szabaków, Romów i kaka'ich. Uwaga poświęcona jest głównie życiu politycznemu i reprezentacji politycznej wyżej wymienionych społeczności. Opisano proces kształtowania się nowych władz po 2003 r. W dalszej kolejności analizie zostały poddane wybory na szczeblu lokalnym i krajowym oraz konstytucja - tymczasowa i stała - z perspektywy praw i wolności mniejszości. W pracy nie pominięto innych spraw wartych rozpatrzenia, do których niewątpliwie należy czynnik bezpieczeństwa, który do tej pory jest palącym problemem państwa irackiego.
An essey deals with the history and contemporary situation of ethnic and religious minorities in Iraq after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. Iraqi society is very divese. It consists of a mosaic of different cultures, religions and nations. The paper presents the situation of some non-Muslim communities which probably belong to the oldest communities in a present-day Iraq as well as it presents the situation of Turkmen people, Fayli Kurds, Shabaks, Roma and Kaka'is. Attention is focused mainly on politics and political representation of above mentioned communities. It describes the process of formation of a new government after 2003. Further, elections at national and local level were subjected to analysis. Attention was paid also to the temporary and following pernament constitution - from the perspective of the rights and freedoms of minorities. The study does not omit consideration of other matters, to which belongs undoubtedly the factor of safety, which remains until now a pressing problem for the country of Iraq.

This article is an analysis of the religious and moral situation of Polish families in Belarus since the beginning of Christianity in these lands. It was carried out based on the Catholic model of marriage and family, taking into account the religious and historical conditions of family life of Poles on the territory of modern Bela-rus. The reflections made on the issues discussed difficult history of the Catholic Church and the traditions of cultural and religious Polish families closely associated with the Church. These reflections presented their contemporary religious and moral level.
Niniejszy artykuł stanowi analizę religijno-moralnej sytuacji polskich rodzin na Białorusi od początków chrześcijaństwa na tych ziemiach. Została ona przeprowadzona w oparciu o katolicki model małżeńsko-rodzinny, uwzględniając religijno-historyczne uwarunkowania życia rodzinnego Polaków na terytorium współczesnej Białorusi. W refleksjach dotyczących podjętych zagadnień omówiono trudne dzieje Kościoła katolickiego oraz tradycje kulturowo-religijne polskich rodzin ściśle związane z Kościołem. Przedstawiono ich współczesny poziom religijno-moralny.

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie aktualnej sytuacji mniejszości chrześcijańskiej w Islamskiej Republice Pakistanu. Rozpoczyna się ona wstępem, w którym nakreślona jest krótka historia chrześcijaństwa na subkontynencie indyjskim, oraz poruszona zostaje problematyka całej pracy. Po nim następują trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy z nich przedstawia sytuacje mniejszości religijnych w świetle utworzenia Indii i Pakistanu. Ukazuje on przyczyny radykalizacji wspólnot religijnych, co miało ogromny wpływ na późniejszą sytuację na subkontynencie. Opisane są w nim również prawa pakistańskie zawarte w Konstytucji, Kodeksie Karnym oraz umowach międzynarodowych. Maja one na celu zabezpieczenie przed dyskryminacja i prześladowaniem chrześcijan oraz przedstawicieli pozostałych mniejszości religijnych. W drugim rozdziale ukazana jest realizacja wcześniej omówionych praw. Ma to na celu zbadanie, czy zapewniona przez nie wolność religijna jest respektowana w Pakistanie, czy wręcz przeciwnie. Trzeci i ostatni rozdział pracy przeznaczony jest na opis organizacji pozarządowych oraz inicjatyw społecznych, które służą poprawie sytuacji mniejszości chrześcijańskiej a Pakistanie.Praca opiera się w większości na źródłach książkowych, oraz artykułach internetowych, które stanowią źródło informacji na temat historii państwa i panujących w nim zwyczajów. Służą one pogłębieniu wiedzy na temat Pakistanu. Pozwala ona wyciągnąć wnioski jak najbardziej zgodne z rzeczywistością. Dokumenty, które są przywołane w pracy to wiarygodne źródło informacji o prawie panującym na omawianym obszarze. Badania opierają się również na wywiadach własnych, przeprowadzonych z mieszkańcami Pakistanu. Pozwalają one spojrzeć na sytuacje chrześcijan w omawianym kraju z ich własnej perspektywy. Zamieszczone są one w aneksie na końcu pracy.
The theme of this paper is to present the current situation of Christian minorities in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It begins with an introduction which outlines a brief history of Christianity in the Indian subcontinent and it reveals issues of the whole work. It is followed by three chapters. The first chapter shows the situation of religious minorities in the light of the establishment of India and Pakistan. It explains the causes of radicalisation of religious communities which had a huge impact on subsequent situations on the subcontinent. That chapter contains also the analise of the Pakistani law written in the Constitution, the Criminal Code and international agreements. They are designed to protect the Christians and representatives of other religious minorities from discrimination and persecution. In the second chapter the implementation of the previously discussed rights is described. This is to investigate whether or not the freedom of religion ensured by the law is respected in Pakistan. The third and the last chapter of the work is devoted to description of non-governmental organizations and social initiatives that serve to improve the situation of the Christian minority and Pakistan.The paper is based largely on sources of books, articles and websites that provide information about the history of the state and its customs. They serve to deepen knowledge about Pakistan and allows it to draw consistent conclusions with reality. The documents, which are referred in the work is a reliable source of information on the law prevailing in the area concerned. The study is also based on interviews with the residents of Pakistan. They allow to look at the situation of Christians in this country from their own perspective they are included in the appendix at the end of paper.

Celem pracy jest zbadanie preferencji politycznych osób powyżej 60. roku życia oraz sprawdzenie, jakie czynniki wpływają na poparcie wyborcze dla poszczególnych partii. Aby odpowiedzieć na pytania badawcze, autor przeprowadził badanie sondażowe na terenie Krakowa oraz Gminy Zabierzów (gmina wiejska). Pracę podzielono na trzy rozdziały. W pierwszym przedstawiono źródła czerpania wiedzy o polityce, główne motywacje wyborcze, poparcie dla partii politycznych, frekwencję w wyborach oraz sytuację ekonomiczną i demograficzną badanej grupy. W rozdziale drugim postawiono trzynaście hipotez, pogrupowanych w sześciu podrozdziałach: „Pozycjonowanie ideologiczne w wymiarze lewica/prawica”; „Poparcie dla Unii Europejskiej”; „Ocena transformacji ustrojowej”; „Praktyki religijne”; „Sytuacja materialna”; „Źródła pozyskiwania informacji o polityce”. W ostatnim podrozdziale przedstawiono metodologię i sposoby testowania hipotez.W rozdziale trzecim postawione hipotezy zostały zweryfikowane empirycznie za pomocą dwuczynnikowej (współczynniki korelacji rho Spearmana i φ Pearsona) i wieloczynnikowej (regresja logistyczna) analizy statystycznej. Testy hipotez za pomocą tych narzędzi wykonano w oparciu o dane zebrane w wykonanym badaniu sondażowym.Wyniki badania pokazały, że największe poparcie wśród osób powyżej 60. roku życia uzyskała Platforma Obywatelska (34,45%), następnie Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (32,77%). W dalszej kolejności znalazły się: Konfederacja (5,04%), Polska 2050 (4,2%), Nowa Lewica (4,2%), Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe (0,84%), Nowoczesna (0,84%), inna partia (1,68%).Wnioski z analizy wieloczynnikowej dowodzą, że głównymi czynnikami wpływającymi na oddanie głosu na PiS są: lewicowe poglądy ekonomiczne, wykształcenie podstawowe, zawodowe lub średnie oraz, co ma największe znaczenie, oglądalność TVP. W przypadku PO (wraz z Nowoczesną) największe oddziaływanie mają: prawicowe poglądy ekonomiczne, poparcie dla UE, pozytywny stosunek do transformacji ustrojowej oraz nieoglądanie TVP.
The aim of the thesis is to examine the political preferences of people over 60 years of age and to verify the factors that influence their electoral support for particular parties. In order to respond to the research questions, the author carried out a survey in Cracow and Zabierzów Commune (rural municipality).The work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter describes sources of obtaining information about politics, main electoral motivations, support for political parties, voter turnout, economic and demographic situation of the examined group. In the second chapter, thirteen hypotheses were formulated and grouped in six subchapters: “Ideological positioning in the left/right dimension”; “Support for the EU”; “Assessment of political transformation”; “Religious practices”; “Financial situation”; “Sources of obtaining information about politics”. In the last subchapter, methodology and methods of testing hypotheses were presented.In the third chapter, the hypotheses were empirically verified using two-factor (Spearman’s rho correlation coefficients and Pearson’s φ) and multivariate (logistic regression) statistical analysis. Hypothesis tests with these tools were performed based on data collected in the conducted survey. The survey results showed that the highest support among people over 60 years old was obtained by Platforma Obywatelska (34,45%), followed by Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (32,77%). Then there were: Konfederacja (5,04%), Polska 2050 (4,2%), Nowa Lewica (4,2%), Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe (0,84%), Nowoczesna (0,84%), another party (1,68%).The conclusions from the multivariate analysis show that the main factors that influence voting for PiS are: left-wing economic views, primary, vocational or secondary education and, most importantly, TVP viewership. In the case of PO (together with Nowoczesna), the greatest impact have: right-wing economic views, support for the EU, positive attitude towards political transformation, and not watching TVP.

This article discusses the issue of so-called forced marriages, the criminalisation of which was introduced into Polish criminal legislation by the Act of 13 January 2023 amending the Code of Civil Procedure and some other acts. Introducing the provisions of Article 191b into the Criminal Code aims to fulfil the obligation arising from Article 37 of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence of 11 May 2011 (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 961). In addition to outlining the statutory features of new types of crimes, the article addresses issues such as criminal liability, the concurrence of regulations, and the issue of the so-called cultural defence.
