Opis:: In this paper, we propose a new formal model to describe risk analysis and measurement process for IT systems. Our model complies with international standards and recommendations for non-profit organisations. The model accounts for solutions used in widely known and recommended risk analysis methods and provides for evaluation of efficacy of these solutions. A simple example illustrates the application of the proposed model for effective risk analysis of any IT system.

Opis:: Water supply system is complicated technical system which belongs to underground urban infrastructure. Its accurate functioning determines everyday live stability of citizens. Risk analysis is a key phase of the process of water supply safety management. The aim of this paper is to present new propose of methods for risk of the first type (associated with quantity of supplied water) and the risk of the second type (associated with quality of supplied water) analyses in water supply system. The paper contains the description of matrix methods for risk analyses and methods describing cause-and-effect relationship of failure events (fault tree analysis).

Opis:: The research dedicated to risk management issues in the energy sector addresses current problems associated with risk management that arise in the energy sector. The aim of the study was to identify factors that affect risks, analyze scientific risk management methods, and consider innovative approaches to risk management in the energy sector. The study used a critical analysis of the literature on the subject as well as an analysis of risk management standards and methods. The innovation of the research lies in its consideration of modern trends in risk management in the energy sector, taking into account changing economic and political conditions, technical possibilities, as well as social attitudes and demands. The study showed that the most effective approach to risk management in the energy sector is the use of an integrated risk management system that takes into account all aspects of enterprise activity. The results of the study can be useful for energy companies that deal with risk management. They can be used to improve risk management strategies and reduce the possibility of negative consequences. In addition, this research can be used for educational purposes for students and professors who study risk management and the energy sector. The next steps of the research may include expanding the scope of the study to other areas and developing more detailed risk management models.

Opis:: Purpose: Presentation of selected methods of project and data analysis - describes how data on ongoing projects should be collected, so that it can be used later, by applying the appropriate methodology. Design/methodology/approach: Literature research of the subject was carried out. Finding: Having a methodology for data collection leads, in the long term, to the implementation of a system that allows the use of this methodology. The system should provide information to help make better decisions, reducing or eliminating the risk of project failure. Practical implications: Development of a methodology of data collection and analysis on this basis. Originality/value: The implemented projects are comparable with each other and, on this basis, it can be argued that identifying the risks that have occurred in the past, during the implementation of various stages of projects, can contribute to more effective risk management during the implementation of current and future projects.

Opis:: When taking all aspects (geology, environment, geotechnics, safety, traffic aspects, ventilation, economic aspects, operational aspects) into account tunneling is a very complex design task. It is to be understood that the whole is more than the sum of its parts, and requires an interdisciplinary design process. The paper will deal in the first chapter with the success factors necessary for the interdisciplinary design and layout of high-speed railway tunnels. ILF carries out complex tunnel projects using its in-house capacity. Examples of how different aspects influence each other will be given with the high-speed railway tunnels in Germany and Austria.
Projektowanie tuneli jest bardzo złożonym zagadnieniem z uwagi na konieczność uwzględnienia wielu aspektów projektowania (geologia, ochrona środowiska, geotechnika, bezpieczeństwo, organizacja ruchu, wentylacja, aspekty ekonomiczne, aspekty operacyjne). Projekt końcowy jest czymś więcej niż sumą poszczególnych części, wymaga interdyscyplinarnego procesu projektowego. W pierwszej części niniejszego artykułu omówiono czynniki decydujące o powodzeniu przedsięwzięcia projektowego linii kolejowych dużych prędkości. Firma ILF opracowuje własnymi siłami kompleksowe projekty tuneli. W artykule przedstawiono dalej wzajemne oddziaływania różnych aspektów projektowania na przykładzie projektów tuneli linii kolejowych dużych prędkości Hannover-Wurzburg, Cologne-Frankfurt, Nuremberg-Munich, które zostały oddane do użytku w czerwcu 2006 roku, oraz Ebensfeld--Erfurt, która jest na etapie projektowania oraz częściowo w trakcie budowy.

Opis:: W artykule omówiono zasady tworzenia procedur oceny ryzyka wykonania danej pracy na statku. Konieczność ich wykonania, przez członków załogi z poziomu zarządzania, wynika z wprowadzenia przez armatora systemu zarządzania bezpieczną eksploatacją statku jako obowiązku wynikającego z „Międzynarodowego systemu zarządzania bezpieczną eksploatacją statku i ochroną środowiska morskiego”. Celem działań jest zwiększenie bezpieczeństwa eksploatacji statku oraz zmniejszenie zagrożenia wypadkowego na statkach i ich skutków dla ludzi i środowiska. Ocena ryzyka polega na określeniu iloczynu poziomu (skutków) określonego zagrożenia wypadkowego i jego prawdopodobieństwa. Przekroczenie określonego progu liczbowego wymaga przeprowadzenia czynności zmniejszających ryzyko do akceptowalnego lub podjęcie decyzji o niewykonywaniu danej czynności.
It was presenting the rules creation of risk assessment procedures the analyzed activity executing on vessels. The necessity of procedure executing results from ship-owner safety management system as an effect of requirements from International Management Code for the Safe Operations of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM code). The increasing safety of ship operations and the decreasing of accident threats and their effects on people and environment were the aim of implementation. The risk assessment relies on calculation the product of definite accidental hazard level (effects) and its probability. Exceeding definite number threshold requires carried out the actions decreasing the risk to the acceptable level or undertaking the decision of abandonment the analyzed activity.

Opis:: Architectural, digital and information and communication accessibility is, according to the Law [1], accessibility that meets the requirements of universal design and reasonable accommodation within the meaning of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. According to the law, providing accessibility to persons with special needs is the responsibility of public transport entities including maritime operators. Persons with special needs are those who, due to their characteristics or the circumstances in which they find themselves, need to take additional measures to overcome barriers that prevent or hinder their participation in various spheres of life on an equal footing with others. Thus, these are not only people with disabilities, but also, as the explanatory memorandum to the law indicates, other dependents, the elderly or parents with children. The publication, within the framework of the methodology of the process approach to the management of transport organizations, defines a proposal for the basic criteria of the Accessibility Management System for Integrated Interchanges (AMSII), which will ensure compliance with all the requirements of the Law and related acts.
