Opis:: This article deals with the suggestion for modify the school education program at the Secondary Vocational School of Electrical Engineering, Pilsen, specifically by adding a chapter on thin film photovoltaic to the curriculum of the subject Use of Electric. The photovoltaic is increasingly considered to be one of the most important technologies of the 21st century. For this reason it is necessary to provide the students some information on this issue and to expand their competences.

Opis:: The article deals with the issue of incorporating the school subject technology, with its interactive content, into the system of educational subjects at elementary school. It should make a significant contribution to the technical education of pupils and their future professional orientation. Technical education is an organic part of general education, as was also underlined by the UNESCO World Organization. Already in 1974, it announced a program according to which technical education should aim at acquiring the basic knowledge in the field of technology and its practical application in solving technical problems. Our State Educational Program supports a comprehensive approach to developing pupils‘ ability to learn, act, evaluate, understand and comprehend, at a given level of education. It is a starting point and a binding document for creating an individual school educational program that takes into account specific local and regional conditions and needs.

Opis:: The main task of Polish schools, which have been established in all larger emigration clusters, was to preserve the knowledge of the language among children. Its command was perceived as a symbol of one's ethnicity, a sign of belonging to a group, and an expression of acceptance of the system of values, which the group represented and cultivated. Knowledge of the language was also supposed to enable young people to access the products of Polish culture and, by means of that, facilitate communal bonding. This function remained unchanged. What changed, though, is the geopolitical situation affecting the position of the Polish emigrant group. The systemic transition, EU accession, and the possibility to participate in European educational programs make our country look quite different from the emigrants' perspective. This implies that the same function has to be realized in a manner which keeps up with the times. The contemporary ethnic school has to be modern. It has to offer interesting educational programs, which correspond to the reality, but which also enable cultivating the tradition, an aspect so important when living abroad. It should organize the educational process in such a way that the young people participating in it have a feeling that they not only learn things that are important for the community of which they are a part, but also, by learning the language, they gain an additional advantage on the labor market. The text presents a proposal of organizing the didactic process in an ethnic school with consideration for a factor which, so far, has not been acknowledged when assigning students to classes, namely the level of language command. It also proposes a conception of integrated teaching of language skills and the components of the Polish language system based on cultural texts, what can significantly increase the effectiveness of teaching.

Opis:: This paper focuses on the possibilities of applying an interpretation of visual art in a nursery school. It defines the concept of visual arts and briefly deals with the issue of an interpretation of visual arts. It presents a preview of the educational project for the children, called Umělci v mateřské škole (Artists in Nursery School), which was published in a complete form within a separate publication. It stresses the importance of implementing visual arts in pre-primary education.

Opis:: Every year, state schools in Poland introduce various education and prevention programmes, containing a description of educational activities (addressed to students), as well as preventive measures (addressed to students, teachers and parents). Such programmes, in accordance with the Education Law – are adopted jointly by teachers’ councils and parent-teacher councils. This paper describes problems related to their practical implementation, as well as provides suggestions how these problems can be solved at a systemic level.
W publicznych szkołach w Polsce przyjmowane są corocznie programy wychowawczo-profilaktyczne, zawierające opis działań wychowawczych (skierowanych do uczniów) oraz działań o charakterze profilaktycznym (skierowanych do uczniów, nauczycieli i rodziców). Programy te – zgodnie z ustawą Prawo oświatowe – uchwalane są wspólnie przez rady pedagogiczne oraz rady rodziców. W artykule zostały scharakteryzowane najważniejsze problemy z realizacją tych zapisów ustawowych w praktyce szkolnej, a także propozycje, w jaki sposób mogą być one systemowo rozwiązane.

Opis:: The author of the article points to conflicts resulting from several consecutive politically and ideologically motivated moves of both structural and curricular school reform, and outlines far-reaching, negative consequences of such activities. She explains differences between such concepts as carricular basis and curriculum and analises possible misunderstanding or misinterpretations which are likely to occur if these concepts are confused with each other or wrongly defined. Moreover, she describes the inviolable order of several necessary procedures which will need to be undertaken while planning the reform, if the reform is to succeed at all. She also draws the reader’s attention to the cultural and civilizational context in which the contemporary school functions, and questions the actual purpose and the point of boad general school education under the circumstances where the cultural paradigms are suddenly changed. She considers teacher training to be of paramount importance here and emphasises the fact that it is necessary to perceive the concept of methodics as a social activity which involves multiple fields of study. Furthermore, she suggests that politicians should be excluded from influncing the educational system directly.

Opis:: In the introductory section the author discusses the latest challenges preschool education faces nowadays. The author of the article emphasizes the importance of applying the TOC tools in the early childhood education as pre-paring the child for the role of being a pupil at school. The main body of the article outlines the theoretical assumptions behind the TOC Programme (Theory of Constraints). The author focuses on the presentation of the TOC tools: the Logical Branch, the Cloud, the Ambitious Target Tree. Each of these tools is characterized with a focus on the expected results in the process of education of young children. With an emphasis on the educational value of the TOC tools in early childhood education the author seeks to share her professional experience as a teacher and a coach.
Na wstępie autor przedstawia rozważania nad współczesnymi wyzwa-niami stojącymi przed edukacją przedszkolną. Podkreśla znaczenie stosowania na-rzędzi TOC .w przedszkolu, które zapewniają dobre przygotowanie dziecka do roli ucznia w szkole. W rozwinięciu prezentuje założenia teoretyczne programu TOC (Theory of Constraints). Autor skupia się także na przedstawieniu narzędzi TOC, ta-kich jak: gałąź logiczna, chmurka, drzewko ambitnego celu. Każde z narzędzi opi-sane jest pod kątem efektów, jakie daje w pracy edukacyjnej z dzieckiem. Podkre-ślając walory edukacyjne narzędzi TOC w edukacji przedszkolnej, autor dzieli się własnym doświadczeniem pedagogicznym jako nauczyciel praktyk i trener.
