Opis:
In the paper the influence of the chosen sensors faults (rotor speed and stator current sensors) to the properties of vector controlled induction motor drive system are tested. Faults detection algorithms based on the simple signals from internal control structure are developed. The simulation tests carried out in Matlab/SimPowerSystem software. The proposed solution can be successfully applied in the fault tolerant drive systems.

Opis:
In the paper the concept of safety vector controlled drive system with induction motor is presented. The speed sensor fault detector, based on the neural network, is described and tested in vector controlled (DFOC) induction motor drive. The fault tolerant algorithm using proposed neural network algorithm was applied and tested during different drive conditions. Simulation (obtained in MATLAB/SimPowerSystem) results are presented.

Opis:
The article focuses on the fault not diagnosed by the OBD system. Apart from mechanical damages sensor faults are a serious group. Although the sensor values are constantly monitored, some errors are not detected. The article presents a diagnostic model of the air intake system of SI engine, which generates the control and work parameters of the engine for fault-free state. The parameters obtained from the reference model can be compared with the parameters measured for the engine in any operating condition. Based on the model the impact of sensor faults for other parameters was analyzed. Some errors can be masked by the adaptive control system of the engine, which changes the parameters of the engine control. Simulation tests were verified on the test bench.

Opis:
This paper addresses the problems of robust fault estimation and fault-tolerant control for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with time delays and unknown sensor faults. A fuzzy augmented state and fault observer is designed to achieve the system state and sensor fault estimates simultaneously. Furthermore, based on the information of on-line fault estimates, an observer-based dynamic output feedback fault-tolerant controller is developed to compensate for the effect of faults by stabilizing the resulting closed-loop system. Sufficient conditions for the existence of both a state observer and a fault-tolerant controller are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities. A simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Opis:
This paper presents a fault-tolerant control scheme for a 2 DOF helicopter. The 2 DOF helicopter is a higher-order multi-input multi-output system featuring non-linearity, cross-coupling, and unstable behaviour. The impact of sensor, actuator, and component faults on such highly complex systems is enormous. This work employs sliding mode control, which is based on reaching and super-twisting laws, to handle the problem of fault control. Simulation tests are carried out to show the effectiveness of the algorithms. Various performance metrics are analyzed and the results show SMC based on super-twisting law provides better control with less chattering. The stability of the closed-loop system is mathematically assured, in the presence of faults, which is a key contribution of this research.

In the paper the influence of the chosen sensors faults (rotor speed and stator current sensors) to the properties of induction motor drive system working in the Direct Field Oriented Control structure (DFOC) were tested. Simulations results carried out in Matlab/SimPowerSystem software. Study results contains an analysis of the state variables such as: mechanical and estimated speed, electromagnetic torque, stator's phase currents and rotor flux. Additionally the usage of these signals to develop faults detection algorithms were tested.

Opis:
This paper deals with a comparative study using numerical simulations between the failures effect caused by the speed sensor faults for a propulsion control system (PCS) of an electrical vehicle (EV) using dualinduction motors structure. The PCS strategies are achieved on two types of controls where the first one is done from a flux-oriented control (FOC) and the second one is conducted from a direct torque control (DTC). For an electric vehicle, we will often guarantee service continuity, in spite of the occurred faults such as an offset fault in speed sensor and a zero-feedback sensor speed fault which both are essentially needed in the structure of the PCS-EV. The occurred fault cited above might influence one of the dual induction motors which could be conducted an unbalance in the dual used motors and from which the control of the vehicle might be also lost. The results of the realized numerical simulations on the EV conducted by the PCS demonstrate clearly the impact of the so-called-fault. Thereafter, we can also appreciate the robustness using each used control propulsion system in despite of the occurred speed sensor fault.
