Opis:: Communication with single parent of the same sex was assessed by 64 daughters and 66 sons by using the Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale (PACS). Analysis between parent’s socio-demographic characteristics and their families has showed that mothers with higher education were assessed by daughter as the most communicative and their openness was conditioned by age of adolescents and amount of siblings. In pairs father-son, increase of boys’s age causes open communication in families of younger fathers.

The publication consists of introduction and sixchapters. At the end of the article, there is a summary with conclusions. The first chapter presentsthe scientific recognition of the family as a group and a social institution. The second chapterpresents definitions of single parent families. The third chapter is devoted to the causes of theincompleteness of the family. The fourth chapter characterized functions of the family: procreative,economic, educational and socialization, care and educative, emotional and expressive, andreferenced them to the single-parent families. The fifth chapter concerns the influence of raisinga child in the single-parent family on child's functioning. The sixth chapter is devoted to thedifficulties and challenges of single mothers and single fathers.
Celem pracy jest zaprezentowanie rodzin niepełnych oraz przedstawienie specyficznych wyzwańi trudności, które wynikają z ich struktury. Praca składa się ze wstępu oraz sześciu rozdziałów. Nakońcu zamieszczone jest podsumowanie wraz z wnioskami. W rozdziale pierwszym przedstawiononaukowe ujmowanie rodziny przede wszystkim jako grupy i instytucji społecznej. W rozdzialedrugim zaprezentowano definicje rodziny niepełnej. Rozdział trzeci poświęcony jest przyczynomniepełności rodziny. W rozdziale czwartym scharakteryzowano funkcje rodziny: prokreacyjną,ekonomiczną, edukacyjno-socjalizacyjną, opiekuńczo-wychowawczą, emocjonalno-ekspresyjnąoraz odniesiono je do rodzin niepełnych. Rozdział piąty dotyczy wpływu wychowywania sięw rodzinie monoparentalnej na funkcjonowanie dziecka. Szósty rozdział poświęcony jesttrudnościom i wyzwaniom samotnych matek i samotnych ojców.

Opis:: L’emprise des hommes sur les femmes, cet amour masculin qui se transforme en tyrannie, sont des constantes dans l’univers romanesque d’Ananda Devi. Dès les premiers textes nommément Rue la Poudrière (1988), émerge l’image du père alcoolique et violent qui conduit sa fille à la prostitution. Trente ans plus tard, la vision de la romancière ne s’est en rien adoucie. Plus complexe, moins centré sur Maurice, le portrait de la paternité que dresse cette écrivaine dans Manger l’autre (2018) jette une ambigüité grandissante autour du rôle du père dans la descente aux enfers de sa fille. Loin des bourreaux décrits dans La vie de Joséphin le fou (2003) ou dans Le sari vert (2009), le père apparaît ici sous les traits de l’empathie et de l’amour. Cela dit, la vision du monde d’Ananda Devi par rapport à ce dernier ne change pas. À travers cette éternelle stigmatisation du patriarcat, la romancière nous transporte dans le monde de l’obésité morbide, du harcèlement scolaire et des réservoirs de haine que recèlent les réseaux sociaux. Dans Manger l’autre, un texte aux accents universels, le monstre n’est plus masculin mais bien féminin. En l’absence de la mère accablée par ses obsessions égocentriques, les chances de réussites du père sont minimes. Or, Manger l’autre se lit comme un sacerdoce paternel. Le père assume son rôle, aime pour deux et surtout passe des heures à cuisiner ce que sa fille désire. Il va même jusqu’à encourager l’épanouissement sexuel de cette dernière en lui accordant une liberté de tous les instants. Et pourtant, rien de cela n’est suffisant pour absoudre l’homme dans l’univers d’Ananda Devi. Dans ce contexte, l’objectif de cette étude est de démontrer et d’analyser l’assiduité de cette romancière mauricienne à mettre en scène l’échec du père quoi qu’il puisse entreprendre au sein de sa famille.
Manger l’autre (2018), a complex portrayal of contemporary paternity, is full of ambiguities when it comes to the role of the father in his daughter’s dramatic descent into hell. Far from the tormentors present in La Vie de Joséphin le Fou (2003) or in Le Sari vert (2009), the father figure is here associated with love and empathy. And yet, none of those qualities can absolve men in Ananda Devi’s world. In yet, another stigmatization of patriarchy, the novelist transports us into the morbid world of obesity, school based harassment as well as the reservoirs of hate that lie within social media. In this context, this paper attempts to show the various techniques used by Ananda Devi to reach her main objective: the failure of the father whatever he does.

The subject of this essay is about the phenomena of independent parenthood pertaining to the perspective of adults who grew up in a single-parent household as a child. The structure of this thesis consists of two theoretical chapters along with a methodological and empirical chapter. As a result of the qualitative interview method, this essay present the experiences and opinions of individuals who have experienced inadequate family dynamics.

Opis:: W pracy zaprezentowane zostało zagadnienie funkcjonowania rodzin niepełnych na przykładzie ojców samotnie wychowujących dzieci. Aspekt ten został omówiony zarówno na podstawie dostępnej literatury z zakresu nauk społecznych - pedagogicznych oraz socjologicznych, jak również z uwzględnieniem wniosków z przeprowadzonych za pomocą ankiety badań własnych. Badania te miały na celu analizę funkcjonowania rodzin samotnych ojców z naciskiem na wypełnianie przez nie funkcji: ekonomicznej, opiekuńczo – zabezpieczającej, rekreacyjno – towarzyskiej, emocjonalno – ekspresyjnej oraz socjalizacyjnej. Zwrócono również uwagę na takie elementy samotnego ojcostwa jak: poczucie sensu życia, wsparcie społeczne, napotykane problemy oraz wpływ rodziny niepełnej na rozwój psychospołeczny dziecka. Całość rozważań została osadzona w kontekście przemian, które są udziałem współczesnej rodziny.
The following text presents the issue of functioning of single parent families on the example of the fathers raising children alone. This aspect has been discussed both on the basis of the available literature in the social sciences - pedagogical and sociological, as well as taking into account the conclusions of the survey using their own research. This research were designed to analyze the functioning of single fathers families with an emphasis on the fulfillment of their functions: economic, care - protecting recreation - a social, emotional - expression and socialization. Attention was also given to elements such as lone fatherhood: the meaning of life, social support, problems encountered and the impact of single parent families in the psychosocial development of the child. The whole discussion is set in the context of the changes that are involving the modern family.

Opis:: Celem badań było oszacowanie modelu zależności między ilością kontaktów z nieobecnym ojcem i wsparciem od dziadków a komunikowaniem się z rówieśnikami dla adolescentów z rodziny samotnej matki. Hipoteza, że ilość kontaktu z nieobecnym ojcem i wsparcie od dziadków pozwala przewidywać komunikowanie się z rówieśnikami dla adolescentów z rodziny samotnej matki była weryfikowana za pomocą Berlińskich Skal Wsparcia Społecznego, autorską Skalą Komunikowania się z Rówieśnikami oraz danych dotyczących ilości kontaktu dziecka z nieobecnym ojcem w grupie 182 adolescentów z rodziny samotnej matki. Wyniki pokazały, że ilość kontaktów dorastającego z ojcem nieobecnym w rodzinie istotnie wiąże się ze spostrzeganym wsparciem od dziadków i z otwartym komunikowaniem się z rówieśnikami.
The aim of study was to establish model of the relationship between amount of contants with an absent father and support from grandparents with communication with peers of adolescents from single mother families. The hypothesis about amount of contatcts with absent father and support from grandparents predicts communication with peers of adolescents from single mother family was verified with using a Berlinʼs Scale of Social Support, the authorʼs Scale of Communication with peers and with data about amount of contacts with absent father in group of 182 adolescents from single mother families. Results showed that adolescentsʼs amount of contacts with absent father, is significant correlacted with perceived support from grandparents and with opened communication with peers.

The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the image of fathers presented in comedy and drama series. The subject of the transformation of the image of paternity depending on the family configuration was discussed. Selected Polish comedy and drama series were compared with the American ones in order to determine whether the fatherly models are similar in them. A survey was used to determine whether the situation of fathers in a given society is reflected in the series and whether the patterns they portray are inspiring.
