Opis:: The integrated geometrical product specification (GPS) system for workpiece geometry specification and verification is an improved engineering tool for product development and production. The goal of the GPS system is to provide tools for cost-effective management of variability in products and processes. This can be achieved by using a more precise way of expressing the functional requirements of the workpiece, complete and well-defined specifications and integrated verification approaches. The intended function of the product is ensured by controlling the geometry and material properties of the workpiece parts, which make up the product. GPS is a language just for checking geometry, and further development is based on computational mathematics and correct, consistent logic using general sets of rules that can be applied to all types of specifications. This article deals with the application of GPS rules in the design of gearboxes.

Opis:: According to the ISO Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS), centred part alignment with one centred point can be described clearly using technical drawings. There are two main limitations of this standard; Firstly: the uncertainty over use of notations in technical drawings when more than one centred point is applied, and secondly, the use of fixed datum targets to centred points which causes an unstable alignment process. This article suggests a new approach for a functional, explicitly defined notation system of datums and datum systems based on the research of orientation constraints between datums. This new approach simplifies the technical drawing, thereby eliminating notation uncertainties. An improved methodology for a stable alignment process was developed based on physical analysis of the centred part alignment which implements movable datum targets.

Opis:: The article begins the description of the history of a mirror: its origin, creation and use. Then the characteristics of the mirror as a typical element of the speech therapy room equipment were made. The article discusses the issue of its use in the opinion of speech therapists. Speech disorders specialists note that it should be used first of all for people with articulation disorders and less for people with mutism.

Opis:: W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań przydatności do płuczek wiertniczych nowozsyntezowanej skrobi S1, na tle innych surowców skrobiowych stosowanych w przemyśle naftowym. Przeprowadzono również badania surowców skrobiowych na zgodność z normami API. Wyniki badań wykazały, że skrobia S1 charakteryzuje się dobrymi właściwościami technologicznymi i jako jedyna z badanych spełnia normy API w pełnym zakresie.
The paper presents laboratory research of new starch S1 usefulness to drilling muds in comparison with different starch applied in oil industry. Investigation of starch onto agreement with norms API were moved also. Results of investigations showed, that starch S1 characterizes bests technological properties and as only from studied norm API in full range fulfils.

Opis:: Turning requirements into working systems is the essence of software engineering. This paper proposes automation of one of the aspects of this vast problem: generating user interfaces directly from requirements models. It presents syntax and semantics of a comprehensible yet precise domain specification language. For this language, the paper presents the process of generating code for the user interface elements. This includes model transformation procedures to generate window initiation code and event handlers associated with these windows. The process is illustrated with an example based on an actual system developed using the presented approach.

Opis:: According to the ISO Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS), if two or more specifications of the same characteristic are to be indicated, they may be combined as a composite tolerance. Therefore there are no definition differences between the single separate tolerance indicators and their composite tolerance, which is different from the ASME standards. Hereby, the definitions of the combined tolerance which specifies the additional location, orientation and form of tolerance zone are not explicitly defined in the current ISO. It restricts the required definitions of tolerance specifications of a component which are often utilized in practice. However, the required definitions cannot be notated in the technical drawings by using the ISO semantics, because the ISO definitions are insufficient. It causes definition gaps and misinterpretations. This paper focuses on developing the definitions of line profile composite tolerance and suggests a new approach for explicitly defined and function-oriented systematology of line profile composite tolerance. This research is based on the analysis of physical behaviour of geometric feature of a component on a theoretical level. Completed and enhanced definitions in an improved systematology for line profile composite tolerance is formulated which fills the definition gaps and eliminates the deficits in ISO GPS.

Opis:: The presented research concerns the methodology for selecting settlements and road networks from 1:250 000 to 1:500 000 and 1:1 000 000 scales. The developed methodology is based on the provisions of the Regulation of the Ministry of Interior from 17 November 2011. The correctness of the generalization principles contained in the Regulation has not yet been verified. Thus this paper aims to fulfil this gap by evaluating map specifications concerning settlement and road network generalizations. The goal was to automate the selection process by using formalized cartographic knowledge. The selection operators and their parameters were developed and implemented in the form of a generalization model. The input data was the General Geographic Object Database (GGOD), whose detail level corresponds to 1:250 000 scale. The presented research is in line with works on the automation of GGOD generalization performed by the National Mapping Agency (NMA) in Poland (GUGiK). The paper makes the following contributions. First, the selection methodology contained in the Regulation was formalised and presented in the form of a knowledge base. Second, the models for the generalization process were developed. The developed methodology was evaluated by generalizing the settlements and roads in the test area. The results of the settlement and road network generalization for both 1:500 000 and 1:1 000 000 detail levels were compared with the maps designed manually by experienced cartographers.

Opis:: The subject of the article concerns the issue of transport accessibility, due to the special needs of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility. The disability related to the state of health is presented numerically for Poland, including the dysfunctions occurring and also in relation to the population of Europe and the world. The presented values indicate a significant size of problems that cannot be ignored or downplayed in the context of the policy of equal treatment of all citizens. On the basis of European and Polish legal regulations, the issues of rail transport accessibility in relation to meeting the requirements specified in the technical specifications for interoperability are discussed. The conditions specified in the PRM TSI for the “Infrastructure”and “Rolling Stock” subsystems are presented in detail, including the obligation to create registers: railway infrastructure and rolling stock and requirements for the development of strategic documents, such as national implementation plans and access strategies to passenger infrastructure and access strategies to passenger rolling stock. Following the National Implementation Plan of the PRM TSI, a diagnosis of the condition and assessment of the accessibility of Polish railways for people with disabilities was discussed, as well as the functioning principles and actions taken by infrastructure managers and railway operators to eliminate existing barriers. The article also indicates the internal project carried out in the Railway Track and Operation Department of the Railway Research Institute, concerning the development of a method facilitating the preparation of a strategy guaranteeing full access to passenger infrastructure in accordance with the requirements of the TSI PRM. The proposed method uses the questionnaire of the facility, which covers all aspects related to the accessibility of the railway station for people with disabilities. This project is an offer for rail infrastructure managers who are required to have a strategy for each passenger station and are part of the state policy implemented to improve the accessibility of public space.
