Opis:: The experiments performed on a especially built test stand, concerning the influence of human body position on the feet-to-head vibration transmission are presented. The investigations have been performed for chosen amplitudes and frequencies of source acceleration excitations coming from a vertical shaker. The big influence of standing positions of a human body on the transmitted accelerations from feet to head has been measured and analyzed. Numerical results of variability of experimental studies have been statistically elaborated and graphically presented.

Opis:: The aim of the study was to compare the values of selected stability indices registered in the trials in standing with eyes open and without visual control, and in handstand in athletes practicing artistic gymnastics at the highest level of advancement. Methods: The study included 20 athletes practicing artistic gymnastics. The research tool was posturograph CQ-Stab 2P. The results obtained in individual trials were compared using Friedman repeated measures analysis of variance by ranks and then subjected to Dunn post-hoc test with Bonferroni adjustment. Results: Statistically significant differences in the values of stability indices recorded in individual samples were found. Exceptions are the results obtained in the trials with eyes open and without visual control with regard to the size of the surface area delineated by the COP ( p = 0.173) and the frequency of corrective reactions ( p = 0.464), as well as the length of the statokinesiogram path in the mediolateral direction ( p = 0.342), mean velocity of COP movement in the mediolateral direction ( p = 0.246), maximal amplitude of the COP in the mediolateral direction ( p = 0.342) and number of COP displacements in the mediolateral direction ( p = 0.246). Conclusions: In seniors, disabling visual control during free standing as well as adopting a handstand position result in deterioration of the stability indices, which is a resultant of the COP displacement in both directions as well as in the anteroposterior direction. Lack of differences in the values of stability indices in the mediolateral direction suggest that in a free standing position, seniors practicing artistic gymnastics control the movement of the center of foot pressure in the mediolateral direction and eye control is not important for the stability of the body in the frontal plane.

Opis:: Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare and analyse of relationships between stability indices registered in two positions: standing and handstand in athletes practicing gymnastics at various levels of advancement. Methods: The study included 46 athletes practicing gymnastics. The research tool was posturograph CQ-Stab 2P. Results: In both standing position and handstand in the seniors there were statistically significantly lower values of such indicators as: sway area delimited by the center of pressure ( p = 0.004, p = 0.014), mean amplitude of COP ( p = 0.021, p = 0.017), mean displacement of the center of feet/hands pressure in medio-lateral direction ( p = 0.011, p = 0.003) and maximal displacement of the center of feet/hands pressure in mediolateral direction ( p = 0.036, p = 0.036). In the standing position, seniors also had statistically significantly lower values of the statokinesiogram path length, both total ( p = 0.000) as well as in anteroposterior ( p = 0.001) and mediolateral ( p = 0.002) directions. In the seniors group there were statistically significant correlations between variables obtained in standing position and handstand. Conclusions: The level of sport advancement significantly differentiates the stability of a body in standing position and handstand. The seniors practicing gymnastics, compared to juniors, are characterized by a better ability to control the position of the body in both positions. The lack of relationships between stability indices registered in standing and handstand in juniors suggests that the analysis of the values of stability indices obtained in a standing position does not provide the possibility of predicting the ability to maintain balance in the handstand during the recruitment of candidates for gymnastics.

Tytuł:: Częstotliwość występowania dolegliwości bólowych odcinka lędźwiowego kręgosłupa w grupie ratowników wodnych
Frequency of lumbar spine pain occurance in a group of water lifeguards.

Opis:: Low Back Pain (LBP) becomes one of the most problematic disease of the XXI century. Even 90% of the population has a problem with the LBP and following aftermaths like sick leaves, hospitalization and economical issues. Prolonged standing and sitting are very likely to cause this disease. The point of this thesis is to check dependency of sustained sitting or standing positions with the LBP occurence. A group of 129 random lifeguards has been chosen to participate and fill an Internet questionnaire. participants were asked about experience with the LBP, position during work, physical activity and counselling their problem with any specialist. As the research shows, no interconnection between body position and occurance of the LBP was found. Also other researches showed no correlation between sitting position and the LBP. This problem is most likely to occur in nursing and professional truck drivers. In the first case due to lifting patients, in the second because of long-time driving and engine vibrations transferred to the cabin.
Wstęp: Dolegliwości bólowe kręgosłupa lędźwiowego dotykają nawet do 90% populacji w wieku produktywnym oraz w równym stopniu dotyczą zarówno kobiet, jak i mężczyzn. Generuje to ogromne nakłady pieniężne na diagnostykę, leczenie, rehabilitację oraz profilaktykę problemu. Niekorzystna biomechanika pozycji siedzącej wydaje się głównym czynnikiem występowania dolegliwości, lecz długo utrzymywana pozycja stojąca również wykazuje niekorzystny wpływ na organizm.Cel pracy: wykazanie zależności pomiędzy przyjmowaniem w pracy ratownika pozycji siedzącej, stojącej lub mieszanej a wystąpieniem dolegliwości bólowych odcinka lędźwiowego kręgosłupa. Materiał i metody: przeprowadzono ankietę pośród 129 losowo wybranych osób pracujących czynnie jako ratownicy wodni.Wyniki: 73% badanych doznało regularnych dolegliwości bólowych odcinka lędźwiowego kręgosłupa. Problem dotyczył zarówno osób regularnie uprawiających aktywność fizyczną, jak i spędzających czas w sposób bierny. Nie wykazano różnicy pomiędzy osobami z różnym stażem zawodowym ani w zależności od wskaźnika BMI. Dyskusja: Badania zespołów różnych specjalistów wykazują brak zależności pomiędzy pozycją siedzącą a wystąpieniem dolegliwości bólowych kręgosłupa lędźwiowego. Jednymi z niewielu profesji, które w niewielkim stopniu predysponują do częstszego wystąpienia dolegliwości bólowych kręgosłupa są pielęgniarki oraz kierowcy zawodowi. Pierwsza grupa przez dźwiganie i pracę przy pacjentach, druga z powodu długich podróży oraz drgań silnika przenoszonych na kabinę oraz fotel. Wnioski: w badanej grupie ratowników wodnych nie wykazano zależności pomiędzy przyjmowanie pozycji siedzącej, stojącej lub mieszanej a występowaniem dolegliwości bólowych kręgosłupa lędźwiowego.

Opis:: Purpose: The work aimed to assess the functioning of the musculoskeletal system within the lumbar spine in relation to everyday postures of sitting and standing. Methods: The comparative analysis was based both on experimental tests and computer simulations performed in the AnyBody Modeling System environment. Input data used to prepare models were based on the information obtained in experimental tests. The test participants were tasked with adopting two postures: 1) standing position and 2) sitting position. Kinematics measurements were performed using the Zebris ultrasonic system. During sitting position, the tests additionally involved the use of a dynamometric platform measuring reaction forces occurring between buttocks and the seat. Results: The comparative analysis included measurements of the trunk inclination angle and the pelvic inclination angle as well as results of computer simulations. The sitting posture is responsible for increased trunk inclination and a change in the position of the pelvis. In terms of the sitting position, it was possible to observe an increase in the loads affecting individual intervertebral joints of the lumbar spine by 155–184% in comparison with the standing posture (100%). Simulations revealed an increased muscle activity of the erector spinae, abdominal internal oblique muscles and abdominal external oblique muscles. Conclusions: Adopting a sitting position increases the loads on the lumbar spine and increases the activity of the erector spinae and abdominal muscles compared to the standing position, which is caused by change in the position of the pelvis and the curvature of the lumbar region.

Opis:: Il culto eucaristico non si limita solamente alla celebrazione della S. Messa, ma va oltre la stessa celebrazione del Sacrificio Eucaristico e riempie tutta la vita della Chiesa. La partecipazione nel Mistero dell’Eucaristia costituisce il più gran tesoro per i discepoli di Cristo. Il buon culto eucaristico dipende dalla consapevolezza della triplice dimensione del Sacramento dell’Eucaristia quale l’offerta, banchetto e la presenza e dal giusto equilibrio tra di loro. L’adorazione e l’esposizione del Santissimo Sacramento sono le più importanti forme del culto dell’Eucaristia, oltre alla stessa celebrazione della S. Messa. Il rinnovato rito dell’esposizione e dell’adorazione di Cristo, presente nell’Eucaristia, è ricco di segni, gesti e posizioni liturgici. L’uomo che adora Cristo vuole farlo in vari modi, esprimendo così il suo grande amore per il Salvatore, presente nel segno del pane. L’articolo spiega il significato teologico dei segni, gesti e posizioni liturgici adoperati nel rito, che è stato rinnovato dopo il Concilio Vaticano II. Nella suddetta esposizione sono stati sottolineati i seguenti temi: il Pane Eucaristico, il tabernacolo, l’ostensorio, l’incenso, le candele, la posizione in piedi e in ginocchio. Il rito dell’esposizione e dell’adorazione del Santissimo Sacramento, grazie alla ricchezza di vari segni, posizioni e gesti, aiuta il credente a vivere profondamente ed intimamente la presenza di Cristo nel segno del Pane. Il segno liturgico diventa importante quando è correttamente capito e poi interpretato. La simbologia dei singoli segni, posizioni e gesti – adoperati nel rito – porta i credenti alla stessa persona di Cristo. In questo modo Lui diventa vicino al suo popolo nel segno del Pane. Tutti segni liturgici del rito indicano la Sua vera e reale presenza che conduce l’uomo a contemplare l’amore di Dio che si rivela nei semplici e leggibili segni. Questa presenza, inoltre, predispone l’uomo per la preghiera dell’adorazione e del ringraziamento, dal quale nasce anche umile richiesta e fiducia nell’infinito amore di Dio, rivelato nel Gesù Cristo. Nell’analisi dei singoli segni, posizioni e gesti, che fanno parte del suddetto rito, ci colpisce la loro semplicità e chiarezza. Non troviamo in esso le cose inutili o superficiali, ma che tutti elementi portano a Cristo, presente nel Pane, e per questo il rito dell’adorazione aiuta la comunità, radunata intorno a Cristo, nel raccoglimento e nella preghiera.

Opis:: The paper presents a selection of indexes describing financial standing of households. Based on their values the analyzed aggregate units (socio-economic groups of different size) were classified into classes of a similar financial position.
W pracy przedstawiono dobór zmiennych opisujących sytuację finansową gospodarstw domowych. Na podstawie wartości tych wskaźników dokonano klasyfikacji badanych jednostek agregatowych (grupy społeczno-ekonomiczne o różnej liczebności) w klasy o podobnej sytuacji finansowej. Podstawą do analizy i określenia sytuacji finansowej polskich gospodarstw domowych w 2006 roku była ocena kształtowania się realnych dochodów rozporządzalnych oraz analiza struktury wydatków, przypadających miesięcznie na jednego członka gospodarstwa domowego.

The total estimation of changes should be positive. But we can see a lot of losses. Some of them seem to be temporary, but there are also losses caused by the market character of the reforms themselves.
