Opis:
Stability problems of vehicles, especially commercial vehicles, get more and more attention with the increasing traffic load of the roads. The development of infrastructure can not follow the demands for the increasing traffic and it result in increasing number of accidents. The society can not accept this situation and it raises higher and higher demand on the active safety of the vehicles. This demand resulted that the brake system based drive stability systems are available today and in some cases are obligatory. If the driver demanded vehicle motion (which is calculated on the basis of a reference vehicle model) differs from the measured vehicle motion, the system applies a moment using the brakes to force the vehicle to move on the desired path. However the brake is activated without the direct command from the driver, the system can not be considered as an autonomous driver assistant system, because it just supports the driver to reach his demand. The driver is apart of the control hop completely. The target of the paper is to extend the drive stability system with active steering intervention. The new generation steering systems with the help of a superimposing gear can manipulate the steering angle, and so they can manipulate the acting forces of the tire contact point. So the new generation of the ESP requires the appropriate steering system. As apart of the current development the adequacy of the model is checked by a validation process with a continuous feedback.

Opis:
The future of cars will be connected with "by-wire" systems. The Technical University of Liberec, Department of vehicles and Engines has developed a design of testing equipment for directional control system testing. The objective of the newly designed equipment is to incorporate a wheel with a real tire and a flexible mounting of axle components. The paper describes properties and control of the hydraulic circuit consisting of two double-acting engines with a unilateral piston rod and two proportional valves (Parker D1FP). Each of the front axle wheels is controlled separately. The paper illustrates relationships andpotential of steer-by-wire systems at the experimental equipment. The safe and easy control of a vehicle undoubtedly poses significant requirements. Satisfying them and improving the design to enhance the vehicle's stability have always belonged to the primary objectives of designer s. Consequently, the chassis characteristics, the mechanical features of wheel suspensions, the quality of air suspensions, but also speed control (including brakes) and the vehicle 's directional control have always been emphasised. The objective of the paper was to design a steer-by-wire directional control mechanism with a suitable arrangement. The comparison focuses on various design options to arrange the action members (actuators) of this mechanism.

The safe and stable control ofa vehicle undoubtedly belongs to one of the most important requirements that relate to the vehicle 's design and operation. Consequently, in the near future, so called steer-by-wire systems could become the next stage in the control system development. A number of new, modern vehicles presented by car makers at important car shows definitely show how topical the issue is. If we want to create a design for this steering system, we have to know the action offorce very well. An experimental laboratory establishment for measuring and optimizing the steering system of vehicles was developed in our centre. The testing equipment is made of aluminium sections enabling the equipment to be quickly adapted to various vehicles ' axles and tyres. An exchangeable mat located under a tyre enables the system to create behaviour simulation for various surfaces with a different coefficient of adhesion. A sliding way assisted by a hydraulic jack under a tyre allows a change in axle load for example in accordance with the vehicle 's occupancy. A force sensor will be positioned between the jack and the mat to monitor the load adjustment. The Technical University of Liberec, Department of Vehicles and Engines, has developed a design of a testing bench which would enable the testing of directional control systems. The objective of the newly designed equipment is to incorporate a real tyre as well as aflexible mounting of the axle components into the tested system. Future of car s will be connected with systems of type steer by wire. This system need to be testing on the testing bench before real test in the car. One method for assessing can be investigation control deviation during test VDA ISO TR3888. The paper will describe measurement of the real car with conventional directional control during test VDA ISO TR3888 and simulation of the system steer by wire on the testing bench. The experimental steer by wire system forms hydraulic circuit with two double-acting hydraulic cylinders with a unilateral piston rod and two proportional valves Parker D1FP. Every wheel front of axle is control alone. The PID regulators were usedfor control of the positioning action. In particular, the testing bench for the testing of steering at zero angular speed of wheels, VDA ISO TR 3888 tests on the testing bench are presented in the paper.

Classic Gurney flap and double Gurney flap (called T-strip) are well-researched trailing edge modifications used in aerospace engineering. However, one of the inevitable effects of their use is the aerodynamic drag increase at low lift conditions, concerned as the major drawback of these solutions. This article presents Gurney flap and T-strip passive alternatives, which guarantee similar advantages in terms of e.g. lift enhancement, but without significant drag increase. Their aerodynamic analysis was performed on the application case of a typical symmetrical aircraft stabilizer with movable steer. Both solutions, consisting of plates nearly parallel to the direction of flow, were modelled as two-dimensional cases and CFD calculations were performed for specified range of angles of attack and steer deflections. Obtained aerodynamic characteristics allowed assessing the influence of selected modifications on the stabilizer effectiveness, as well as on hinge moment characteristics. The flow pattern changes in the presence of analysed devices were also investigated. In this way, performed analysis provided valuable information about the advantages and disadvantages of using of such devices in comparison to classic Gurney Flap and double Gurney flap. The results showed that using proposed solutions gives the possibility of significant reduction of the aerodynamic drag of the whole stabilizer at low lift conditions, while still maintaining favourable lift characteristics.

Opis:
Interjections are an essential part of communication. They have their own phonological inventory and fulfil special communicative functions. They put interactional procedures in process. In the past, they used to be treated only as a secondary category, but they received a special position in the new linguistic approach of functional pragmatics. They have an interesting scientific history of development in Arabic too, starting from the Kufa-School of grammar until the modern theories. This paper discusses the interjections as a grammatical category in German and Arabic.

Opis:
Here we present one of the more complex models for studying the stability of driving an electric car with electromechanical differential systems. The purpose of simulation is to choose a structure of the control system for a velocity control on driven wheels (an algorithm of a differential) most appropriate for the driver. This type of goal is particularly important in the case of a disabled driver sitting in a wheelchair. The modeling takes into account both the mechanical and electric structure of the vehicle, and finally the human element - a simple model of human impact on the steer by a wire system. Modeling and simulation have used MBS package (SimMechanics). The results of the simulation have showed the best algorithms of an electromechanical differential for the velocity control of rear drive wheels: with setting a velocity difference or with an average velocity controller in the point A of the centre of a car front axle.

Classic Gurney flap and double Gurney flap (called T-strip) are well researched devices in fixed wing applications. However, their influence on aircraft movable steer aerodynamic characteristics is not widely documented. This paper presents aerodynamic analysis of these two airfoil trailing edge modifications, applied to a typical symmetrical aircraft stabilizer with movable steer. Both solutions were modelled as two dimensional cases and CFD calculations were performed for a selected range of angles of attack and steer deflections. As a result, a set of aerodynamic characteristics was received. They allowed to assess the influence of selected modifications on entire stabilizer aerodynamic effectiveness, as well as on hinge moment characteristics. The flow conditions change in the presence of the analyzed devices were also investigated. This way, performed analysis provided valuable information about advantages and disadvantages of using such devices on small aircrafts control surfaces. The results showed the possibility of significant improvement of the aerodynamic characteristics of the whole stabilizer by using Gurney flap or T-strip, especially at high steer deflection angles and moderately high lift coefficient values.
Klasyczna klapka Gurneya oraz podwójna klapka Gurneya (T-strip) są dobrze przebadanymi urządzeniami w zastosowaniu do stałych płatów. Ich wpływ na charakterystyki aerodynamiczne ruchomych powierzchni sterowych nie jest jednak szeroko udokumentowany. W publikacji przedstawiono analizę aerodynamiczną dwóch wspomnianych modyfikacji krawędzi spływu profilu, w zastosowaniu do typowego dla statków powietrznych symetrycznego statecznika z ruchomym sterem. Obydwa rozwiązania zamodelowano jako przypadki dwuwymiarowe, a następnie przeanalizowano przy pomocy metod CFD dla szeregu kątów natarcia oraz wychyleń steru. W rezultacie otrzymano zestaw charakterystyk aerodynamicznych. Pozwoliły one na ocenę wpływu wybranych modyfikacji na efektywność aerodynamiczną kompletnego statecznika, jak również na charakterystyki momentu zawiasowego. Zbadano również zmiany jakie zachodzą w przepływie w obecności analizowanych urządzeń. Tym sposobem, przeprowadzona analiza dostarczyła cennych informacji dotyczących zalet i wad użycia tego typu rozwiązań na powierzchniach sterowych niewielkich statków powietrznych. Rezultaty wykazały możliwość znacznej poprawy charakterystyk aerodynamicznych całego statecznika w wyniku zastosowania klapki Gurneya lub typu T-strip, zwłaszcza przy dużych wychyleniach steru i umiarkowanie dużych wartościach współczynnika siły nośnej.

Purpose: This article informs readers about the theoretical and practical origins of the behaviorally informed interventions (BIPI), analyzes examples of the BIPI from different policy sectors and strategies they offer for policy and regulatory design, and discusses applications and implications of BIPI for public interventions. Methodology: This paper is based on a review of literature, as well as an inspection of administrative practices in OECD countries. It encompasses a systematic analysis of scientific papers from the SCOPUS database and a query carried out at the library of George Washington University. Findings: The traditional approach to public policy research is based on rational choice theory. It offers limited support, because by assuming perfect rationality of policy decisions, it overlooks existence of systematic errors and biases of human decision-making. The authors argue that behaviorally informed public interventions (BIPI) might contribute to improving the effectiveness of a number of public measures – regulation, projects, programs, and even entire policies. Practical implications: The behavioral approach allows decision-makers to better understand the decisions and behaviors of citizens, as well as to design more effective interventions with minimum effort by adapting the existing solutions to real decision mechanisms of citizens. Originality: By combining the concepts of traditional approach with the growing behavioral approach, the authors aim to propose a new theoretical framework (BIPI) to be used as a tool for policy design, delivery and evaluation.
