Opis:: One of the prerequisites for the creation of employment opportunities is the overall condition of the economy, however, this prerequisite is not the only one required for the guarantee of the increase of employment. Factors influencing the employment rate are connected to the entrepreneurial environment, which is one of the basic factors of creation of work opportunities in the market economy. In the future, the growth of the employment rate will be connected to the quality of the work force as well as of the renewed economicpolitical concept with a priority on the knowledge economy based on the learning competence.
Jednym z podstawowych warunków dla tworzenia możliwości zatrudnienia jest ogólny stan gospodarki, jednak ten warunek nie tylko jeden wymagany jest dla gwarancji wzrostu zatrudnienia. Czynniki wpływające na poziom zatrudnienia połączone są z otoczeniem, które jest jednym z podstawowych czynników tworzenia możliwości pracy w gospodarce rynkowej. W przyszłości wzrost wskaźnika zatrudnienia będzie podłączony do jakości siły roboczej, jak również odnowionej koncepcji gospodarczo-politycznej z priorytetem w gospodarce opartej na wiedzy w oparciu o kompetencje uczenia się.

Opis:: The article presents NUTS 2 level classification of Czech, Polish and Slovak regions with reference to sector structure of employment in 2000 and 2008. Classes comprising relatively homogenous Polish, Czech and Slovak regions were identified for the study. The analysis of changes regarding composition and descriptive parameters was performed in relation to the obtained classes in both studied periods of time. Multidimensional statistical analysis was used for the research with particular emphasis on cluster analysis methods.

Opis:: The article raises the issue of the structure of employment in Toruń (Thorn) at the turn of the twentieth century. The address books used for the analysis came from 1884 and 1908. The occupations were classified under major HISCO groups. It is an international method which enables making comparisons with the results obtained by other researchers. The aim of the text, which is to constitute a basis for more in-depth sociotopographic studies, is to present the structure of employment of heads of households in Toruń in 1884 and 1908, and to analyse the changes taking place therein. The analysis does not refer only to the changes occurring between the major HISCO groups, but also within them, as well as among people who were not employed. The above-mentioned issues provide the context for presenting the dynamic economic, social and spatial development of the city from the mid-nineteenth century until the outbreak of the First World War. They also allowed to demonstrate the expansion of the workers’ district of the city, the creation of a new district for municipal and military officials and the development of the suburbs. The important factors that influenced the development of the city included the creation of new industrial plants, the expansion of fortifications and the inclusion of Toruń in the railroad network. All this influenced the changes in the structure of employment of heads of households between 1884 and 1908. Some of the most significant changes included: a significant increase in employment among women and suburban residents; the formation of a new social group – the factory workers; and an increase in the number of people employed as domestic workers and in the service sector.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest ocena kierunków zmian struktury pracujących w Polsce z punktu widzenia ich zgodności z prawidłowościami przemian strukturalnych charakterystycznych dla procesu budowy gospodarki innowacyjnej. W pracy podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: Czy struktura pracujących w Polsce podlega przekształceniom? Czy w strukturze tej widoczne są zmiany wskazujące na jej dostosowywanie do potrzeb gospodarki opartej na wiedzy i innowacji? W celu odpowiedzi na powyższe pytania przeprowadzono szczegółową analizę struktury pracujących w Polsce w przekroju sektorów gospodarki oraz sekcji i działów, gdzie szczególną uwagę zwrócono na działalności charakteryzujące się wysokim poziomem zaawansowania techniki i zaangażowania wiedzy, a także w przekroju poziomów i dziedzin wykształcenia oraz zawodów i kwalifikacji. Dodatkowo zaprezentowano perspektywy przyszłych zmian struktury pracujących w przekroju sektorów i grup zawodów do 2022 r. Analizie poddano również zmiany w obrębie klasyfikacji zawodów i specjalności będące wyznacznikiem zmian zachodzących na polskim rynku pracy. W tekście odniesiono się do kierunków realizacji polityki państwa w różnych obszarach, mogących mieć potencjalny wpływ na przemiany struktury zatrudnienia zmierzające do jej dostosowania do potrzeb innowacyjnej gospodarki.
The aim of the article is an evaluation of trend of changes in the structure of employment in Poland in terms of their compliance with structural changes characteristic of the process of building an innovative economy. This paper attempts to answer the following questions: whether the structure of employment in Poland transforms? Are there any changes indicating its adjustment to the needs of an innovative economy? The study covers detailed analysis of changes in the employment structure across economic activities with special emphasis on high-tech industry and knowledge-intensive services, and across occupations and qualifications and levels and fields of education. In addition, the perspective of future changes in employment structure across sectors and occupational groups by 2022 is presented. Also changes in the Occupations and Specialties Classification, which indicates transformation of Polish labor market, have been analysed. Moreover, the paper contains a reference to the government policy in different areas, which could have a potential impact on adjusting the employment structure to the needs of an innovative economy.

Opis:: Subject and purpose of work: The aim of this article is to analyse changes in quantity and quality of the Lower Silesian Province agriculture labour resources against the background of national tendencies. Materials and methods: The research based on statistics covered the years 1999-2014 including prediction until 2020. The author’s own research carried out on the group of 282 responders in 2013 served the purpose of evaluating the level of farming culture. Results: It was proved, that the number of working-age men in the examined region was increasing much faster than in Poland which led to increase in agricultural labour resources and with that, to hidden unemployment. Lower Silesian farmers are characterized by general and agricultural education of higher degree than Polish average level. Though, it did not translate into entrepreneurship rates. Conclusions: The research proved that the education had a significant impact on the level of farming culture.
Przedmiot i cel pracy: Celem artykułu jest analiza zmian ilości i jakości zasobów pracy w rolnictwie woj. dolnośląskiego na tle tendencji krajowych. Materiały i metody: Badania na podstawie danych statystycznych objęły lata 1999-2014 ze wskazaniem perspektywy do 2020 roku. Badania własne przeprowadzone na zbiorowości 282 respondentów w 2013 r. posłużyły ocenie poziomu kultury rolnej. Użyto wskaźników dynamiki i struktury. Wyniki: Wykazano, że w badanym regionie szybciej niż w Polsce wzrastała liczba mężczyzn w wieku produkcyjnym co prowadziło do zwiększania się zasobu pracy w rolnictwie, a jednocześnie bezrobocia ukrytego. Rolnicy Dolnego Śląska charakteryzowali się wyższym niż średnio w Polsce wykształceniem ogólnym i rolniczym. Nie przekładało się to jednak na wskaźniki przedsiębiorczości. Wnioski: Badania pokazały, że wykształcenie miało duży wpływ na poziom kultury rolnej.

Opis:: In the article the current situation on the job market in Silesian Voivodeship and changes occurring on it are presented together with the predicted development tendencies. Special attention was devoted to the dynamics of changes in the structure of the unemployed, employees and employers. Silesian regional job market - as it is often underlined in subject literature - is a special type of market, shaped by the centuries of tradition in development of the mining industry as well as iron and steel industry. It has been associated with the region in the social consciousness for a long time and up to the present. However, this job market, evolves and changes and many modernisation processes occur within it. Slowly, but systematically the industry is forced out by the service sector, which is still underestimated. The beginning of 2009 marks the significant unemployment increase, occurring together with growing problem of group dismissals. This situation is a consequence of the processes of inclusion of the national job market into the influence of the world markets. The observed economic slowdown, which in some countries results in recession, implies the possibility of structural unemployment in some local job markets of Silesian Voivodeship, in particular those which are dominated by the car industry monoculture.
Artykuł przedstawia sytuację na rynku pracy województwa śląskiego, następujące na nim zmiany oraz przewidywane tendencje rozwojowe. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na ukazanie dynamiki zmian struktury bezrobotnych, pracujących, jak i pracodawców. Regionalny rynek pracy – jak nie jednokrotnie podkreśla się w literaturze przedmiotu – jest rynkiem szczególnym, ukształtowanym przez wiekowe tradycje rozwoju przemysłu wydobywczego i hutniczego. I tak jest on kojarzony w społecznej świadomości obecnie. Jednak rynek ten, co należy podkreślić, ewoluuje, oraz następują w jego obrębie procesy modernizacyjne. Powoli przemysł wypierany jest przez ciągle niedoszacowany sektor usług. Początek 2009 roku to istotny wzrost bezrobocia, współwystępujący z nasilającym się problemem zwolnień grupowych. Sytuacja ta jest pochodną włączania rodzimego rynku pracy w orbitę wpływów światowych. Obserwowalne spowolnienie gospodarcze, w niektórych krajach przybierające formę recesji, implikuje możliwością wystąpienia bezrobocia strukturalnego na niektórych lokalnych rynkach pracy województwa śląskiego, w szczególności tych, które zdominowane są przez monokulturę motoryzacyjną.

Opis:: According to the three-sector model, the sectoral structure of employment is a good indicator of the economic level of the development of the regions. This paper aims to analyse the sectoral structure of employment in the Podlaskie Province and compare this structure to the Polish level in the years of 2002-2009. The hypothesis is that the Podlaskie Province is still an undeveloped region, even in Poland. The analysis was based on measuring structure consistency and structural dynamics.

Opis:: Celem badania jest identyfikacja prawidłowości w zakresie zmian w strukturze pracujących według sektorów ekonomicznych w przekroju województw. Analizie poddano lata 2010–2016. Wykorzystano dane Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego o pracujących według faktycznego miejsca pracy w sześciu sektorach ekonomicznych (grupach sekcji). Określono stopień podobieństwa sektorowej struktury pracujących w województwach do struktury w Polsce. Zróżnicowanie udziału procentowego pracujących według sektorów ekonomicznych w poszczególnych województwach oszacowano za pomocą względnego wskaźnika Herfindahla-Hirschmana. Zbadano również podobieństwo sektorowej struktury pracujących w województwach w ujęciu łańcuchowym (rok do roku), wykorzystując miarę podobieństwa struktur. Województwa pogrupowano według stopnia podobieństwa struktur, co pozwoliło wskazać regiony charakteryzujące się największymi i najmniejszymi zmianami w analizowanym okresie. Z badania wynika, że w latach 2010–2016 zmiany w strukturze pracujących według sektorów ekonomicznych w poszczególnych województwach zachodziły powoli, przy czym w większości województw spadł udział pracujących w rolnictwie, a wzrósł w usługach związanych z działalnością finansową i ubezpieczeniową oraz obsługą rynku nieruchomości. Największe zróżnicowanie udziału procentowego w strukturze pracujących zaobserwowano w woj. lubelskim, a najmniejsze – w małopolskim. Zmiany w strukturze pracujących według sektorów były najbardziej dynamiczne na początku badanego okresu (2011/2010), natomiast pod koniec – coraz wolniejsze.
The aim of this paper is to identify the regularities in the pattern of changes in the employment structure by economic sectors in Polish voivodships in the period of 2010–2016. The research uses the data on persons employed by the actual workplace in six economic sectors (groups of sections), obtained from Statistics Poland. The research determines the degree of similarity between the sectoral structure of employment of each examined voivodship and such structure of whole Poland. The diversity of percentages of persons employed in particular economic sectors within each examined voivodship was determined using the Herfindahl-Hirschman relative index. The research also examines the similarity of sectoral structures of employment in voivodships in the chain ap-proach (year-on-year), using the similarity measure of structures. The voivodships were grouped according to the degree of similarity of structures, which, in turn, made it possible to identify the voivodships where the changes observed in the analysed period were most and least significant. The research demonstrates that in the years 2010–2016, the changes in the structure of employment by economic sectors in the examined voivodships took place relatively slowly, and that in most voivodships, the employment rate in agriculture decreased, while in services for financial, insurance and real estate sectors, it increased. The highest diversification in the structure of employment was observed in Lubelskie voivodship, and the lowest in Małopolskie voivodship. The most dynamic changes in the sectoral structure of employment were observed at the beginning of the analysed period (2011/2010), whereas towards its end, these changes became slower.
