Opis:: Current development trends are driving ubiquitous sustainability requirements, pushing organizations to achieve new sustainability goals and targets. To this effect, continuous and continual performance measurements are the key to any business-related success. Therefore, the sustainable performance of an organization can be defined as the performance that takes a long time to achieve its goals. The outcome is a well-balanced balance of context, strategy, management processes, resources, and intangibles especially since it is closely related to the notion of sustainable development (TBL). The goal of this paper is two-fold. Firstly, a systematic literature review is conducted to highlight the importance and the need to assess the three pillars of sustainability and, finally, to encircle the sustainability concept by identifying the most used techniques and approaches in its evaluation. This paper can be considered as basic support for future studies in the application of sustainable performance measurement/assessment systems.

Opis:: In today’s rapidly changing global economy, airports have an important role in the social, cultural, and economic development of societies and in building bridges between interconnected markets. Sustainability requires a balance between economic, social, and environmental processes and performance-based progress in efforts on all three dimensions at an optimum level. Therefore, sustainable performance measurement and management is an important function for the control of airports. The suitability of investments in airports to respond to the increasing needs and expectations of the future can be realized through a rational structure that operates technologically, effectively, and efficiently. The need for this structure to be sustainable with above-average performance further increases the importance of the issue. This study aims to develop a sustainable performance software for airports by conducting a sustainable performance analysis based on multiple variables. Methods: For sustainable performance analysis at airports, it is important to include economic, social, and environmental parameters, which are the three sub-dimensions of sustainability, in all strategic, tactical, and operational processes and decision-making mechanisms. For the performance analysis of airports, the DEMATEL Method, and the Objectives Matrix (OMAX) Method, which evaluates all the criteria together, were used to weight various performance indicators. Results: The most important criterion at Antalya Airport, which is also the most affected by other criteria, is "economic". Sustainable performance scores of Antalya Airport for 2018 and 2019 were calculated. The airport's performance in 2019 is higher compared to 2018. Conclusions: The biggest achievement of this research is thought to be developing a “Sustainable Performance Software” for national and international airports. This study will also contribute to the emergence of studies that will reveal the performances of other airports and compare their past performances with their current and national performances.
We współczesnej, szybko się zmieniającej globalnej gospodarce, lotniska odgrywają ważną rolę w socjalnym, kulturalnym i ekonomicznym rozwoju społeczności oraz w budowaniu nowych mostów pomiędzy różnymi rynkami. Rozwój zrównoważony oznacza zachowanie balansu pomiędzy ekonomicznymi, społecznymi i środowiskowymi procesami oraz postępem we wszystkich tych trzech wymiarach na optymalnym poziomie. Dlatego też pomiar jak i zarządzanie zrównoważonej działalności odgrywa istotną funkcję w kontroli lotnisk. Zachowanie zasada zrównoważonego rozwoju w inwestycjach lotniskowych, będących odpowiedzią na zwiększający się popyt na ich usługi może być realizowany efektywnie w ramach zracjonalizowanej struktury. Struktura ta powinna odpowiadać zasadom rozwoju zrównoważonego, który to będzie odgrywał coraz istotniejszą rolę i zwiększał swoje znaczenie. Celem pracy jest opracowanie oprogramowania oceny rozwoju zrównoważonego lotnisk poprzez analizę działalności zrównoważonej obejmującą wiele zmiennych. Metody: Do przeprowadzenia analizy działalności zrównoważonej lotniska, istotne jest uwzględnienie ekonomicznych, społecznych oraz środowiskowych czynników, które są trzema podwymiarami rozwoju zrównoważonego we wszystkich strategicznych, taktycznych i operacyjnych procesach i mechanizmach decyzyjnych. W celu przeprowadzenia analizy, zastosowano metody DEMATEL oraz OMAX (Objectives Matrix), umożliwiające uwzględnienie tych wszystkich czynników równocześnie, poprzez zastosowanie wskaźników wagowych. Wyniki: Najważniejszym czynnikiem dla lotniska Antalya, jak również o największym znaczeniu, jest czynnik ekonomiczny. Współczynniki działalności zrównoważonych dla lotniska Antalya zostały obliczone dla lat 2018 oraz 2019. Działalność lotniska w 2019 była większa aniżeli w 2018. Wnioski: Największym osiągnięciem tej pracy jest opracowanie “aplikacji oceny działalności zrównoważonej” dla zarówno krajowych jak i międzynarodowych lotnisk. Praca ta przyczynia się również do pogłębienia prac badawczych nad działalnością innych lotnisk oraz porównania ich działania z poprzednimi ich osiągnięciami.

Opis:: The basic aim of current study is to investigate the empirically influence of SSCM practices on the Supply chain dynamic capabilities (SCDC) and organizational sustainable performance (OSP) indicators “(economic performance, environmental performance, social performance)” through the mediation effect of SCDC on the relationship of SSCM practices and OSP in the restaurant industry of Thailand. For this purpose, data was collected from the 210 supply chain managers by using the simple random sampling technique. For data analysis Smart PLS 3.2.8 software and PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach was employed. The SEM analysis has shown, SSCM practices has a significant association with the SCDC, and SCDC also partially mediated within the relationship of SSCM practices and organizational sustainable performance. Moreover, the findings of the current study also shown that organizations could realize that the effect of SC dynamic capabilities practices. The current research also contributes a body of knowledge in the way of empirical findings.
Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań empirycznego wpływu praktyk SSCM na wskaźniki dynamiki łańcucha dostaw (SCDC) i wskaźniki zrównoważonej wydajności organizacyjnej (OSP) „(wyniki gospodarcze, środowiskowe i społeczne)” poprzez efekt mediacji SCDC w sprawie związku praktyk SSCM i OSP w branży restauracyjnej w Tajlandii. W tym celu zebrano dane od 210 menedżerów łańcucha dostaw przy użyciu prostej techniki losowego próbkowania. Do analizy danych zastosowano oprogramowanie Smart PLS 3.2.8 i podejście PLS Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Analiza SEM wykazała, że praktyki SSCM mają znaczący związek z SCDC, a SCDC również częściowo pośredniczą w relacji między praktykami SSCM a zrównoważoną wydajnością organizacyjną. Ponadto wyniki obecnego badania pokazały również, że organizacje mogą zdawać sobie sprawę, z efektu praktyk dynamicznych zdolności SC. Obecne badania przyczyniają się również do poszerzenia wiedzy w zakresie ustaleń empirycznych.

Opis:: Research background: The concept of sustainable firm performance has gained significant interest within the highly competitive business arena. There has been a significant increase in the adoption and implementation of circular economy practices by industries. If a company can implement an established approach to circular economy practices, it may expedite the attainment of sustainable corporate performance. This research is conducted in the context of ready-made garment organizations that are following green criteria in their business activities. The study focuses on an emerging South Asian country, Bangladesh, as it holds a strong position in the global apparel and garment market; it is imperative to assess and ensure the environmental maintenance of this country’s garment sector. Purpose of the article: The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between circular economy practices and sustainable organizational performance. The study focuses on the contributory relationship of circular economy practices on three-dimensional sustainable performance, i.e. on environmental, financial, and social performance. Method: This is a quantitative survey-based study; a total of 418 managers were selected to participate. Primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire given to a sample of permanent managers of green garment organizations in Bangladesh. For data input and analysis, SPSS and PLS-SEM software were used. Findings & value added: The results of our study demonstrate a noteworthy relationship between circular economy practices and sustainable performance. This research enhances our comprehension of the efficacy of circular economy practices in addressing environmental issues. The study examines the potential ramifications of implementing circular economy practices for policymakers in the green garment sector, which is known for its significant labor-intensive activities, and ranks as the country's second-largest contributor. The outcomes provide a distinctive perspective for adding value to the environmental concerns in emerging economies. Thus, through an investigation of circular economy practices, our research provides valuable insights for the market of global garment products concerning the environment, resource maximization, energy saving, and circular production processes.

Opis:: Purpose: The paper’s main objective is to structure the knowledge of the existing regulatory frameworks, projects and actions that support sustainable performance management (SPM) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) against the backdrop of the growing significance of the circular economy. The paper will also evidence how strategic management accounting (SMA) assists this process, what individual metrics, dashboards or scorecard concepts have been proposed and how their use may be assessed. Methodology/approach: The research methods include (1) a descriptive systematic analysis of the policies established by the policymakers and regulators in the EU, (2) a comparative analysis of various organisations’ initiatives, actions, delivered toolkits and their outputs, and (3) a literature review of the essential works and research studies on sustainable business models (SBMs), circular business models (CBMs) and SPM in the context of SMEs. Findings: The policies established in the EU support SPM by encouraging SMEs to be involved in sustainable business practices and indicating how to embark on a green transition. Recently, multiple initiatives have been aimed at indicating the opportunities the closed-loop economy system offers SMEs. Many toolkits have also been developed to help SMEs measure their sustainable performance. Although this measurement is vital for SMEs, the business practice falls behind the regulatory framework. Therefore, internal initiatives from the SME sector are needed to popularise the sustainability concept. Research limitations/implications: SMEs show lower levels of compliance with environmental requirements and are unaware of how their activities affect the environment. A limitation of the research is that, in many cases, SMEs are not ready to respond properly to the ESG requirements imposed by regulators. The reason may be a lack of knowledge, experience and limited funds. Therefore, future research should focus on recognizing the gaps in this area and identifying what may be impeding the development of sustainability performance management in SMEs. Originality/value: The work presents the evolution path from the traditional business models (TBMs) through the SBMs to innovative CBMs and addresses their distinctive features. It contributes to the existing knowledge about SMA in SMEs by analysing its links with SPM.
