Opis:: This article describes an investigation into the seasonal variations of frequency, damping ratio and amplitude of swaying and vibration of Norway maple Acer platanoides L. The study was carried through a series of pull andrelease experiments in situ andon branches in the laboratory using an artificial air flow. It was foundthat foliatedtrees hada natural sway frequency that was on average 1.6±0.2 times greater than in the out-of-leaf state. In contrast, the damping ratio of maple increased by 1.5±0.3 times in the summer period. The stem swaying initiatedvibrations, i.e. elastic wave, in the roots with frequencies in the range of 45–50 Hz. Laboratory tests showed that the vibration amplitude of branches depended linearly on leaf mass for an air flow velocity of 1.94 m/s.

Opis:: Fluidized bed boilers have been widely used for many years in energetics but their application in shipbuilding has been incidental. The hydrodynamics of a fluidized bed is a complicated issue. If the swaying of a ship on a sea wave is taken into account, this issue will be further complicated. The choice of an appropriate mathematical model is important from the viewpoint of building computer models for the simulation of a fluidized bed during disruptions that result from the ship swaying on sea waves. Fluidization is a two-phase flow process, which is described by many models such as the homogeneous-slip model or heterogeneous-slide model. The most popular models that show two-phase gas-solid or fluid-solid flow are the Euler-Euler and Euler-Lagrange models. The paper presents models that describe a ship’s fluidized bed.

Opis:: In the article we have developed the dynamic model of interaction of rolling stock during the movement, on the suspended monorail, taking into account the sidesway. We have received the motion equations, carried out their analysis and determined the own oscillation frequencies of rolling stock of suspended monorail.
В статье разработана динамическая модель взаимодействия подвижного состава при движении по подвесному монорельсу с учетом бокового раскачивания. Получены уравнения движения, проведен их анализ и определены собственные частоты колебаний подвижного состава подвесной монорельсовой дороги.

Opis:: In the present article I explain the role of the figure of “the last god” in Heidegger’s thought after the so-called Heideggerian “turn.” Drawing on Heidegger’s Contributions to Philosophy (From Enowning), it is argued that the figure of “the last god” demonstrates Heidegger’s path to “being itself,” which I distinguish from the path to being presented by him in his earlier thought, mainly laid out in Being and Time. The figure of the last god is not to be understood as a god in a religious framework, but rather as an explication of metaphysical radical thinking, rendered as Heidegger’s view of “divinity of the other beginning.” The notion of the last god is presented against the background of several of Heidegger’s ideas (as specifications) discussed in Contributions namely: disclosure of being itself, the renewal of metaphysics, the understanding of nothing/nothingness in relation to being, the problem of the “sign” (Wink) or the ontic and ontological differences. In a metaphorical form, Heidegger leads us – by means of the specifications given – towards the experience of the “last god,” whose “passage” is for Dasein the experience of being itself, is the event of being. In the text presented here, I will “lead” the reader along such “path.” At the same time, I will engage Heidegger’s language without neglecting its semantic “depth,” showing how Heidegger extracts hidden meanings from words.

Opis:: This article is devoted to the symbolic representation of the pendulum movement, such as rocking, swaying and swinging. The research covered Polish and East Slavic folklore, ethnographic and linguistic material. The analysis aims to reach the conceptual basis of pendulum motion developed from the physical experience of movement and related events such as magical practices and rituals. To interpret the material, pre-linguistic conceptual schemas and narrative study, it uses tools to reconstruct the procedures of rites de passage. Examining the contexts and associations accompanying the magical activities of pendulum motion led to the disclosure of archaic beliefs that go back to the myth of creation. The broad spectrum of issues related to the performative power of rocking, swaying and swinging allowed us to present an embodied conceptualisation of the primary movement experience as the universal model of cosmic rhythms.
