Opis:: The increased power density, reduced switching losses with minimum electromagnetic interference (EMI), and high efficiency are essential requirements of power converters. To achieve these characteristics, soft power converters employing soft switching techniques are indispensable. In this paper, a ZCS/ZVS PWM AC/DC converter topology has been emphasized, which finds applications in high power systems such as automobile battery charging and renewable energy systems. This converter scheme maintains zero current and zero voltage switching conditions at turn on and turn off moments of semiconductor switches, respectively and soft operation of rectifier diodes that lead to negligible switching and diode reverse recovery losses. Moreover, it improves power quality and presents high input power factor, low total harmonic distortion of the input current (THDI ) and improved efficiency. The validity of theoretical analysis of the proposed converter has been carried out experimentally on a 10 kW laboratory prototype. Experimental results prove that the soft switching operation of the semiconductor switches and diodes is maintained at 98.6% rated load efficiency. In addition, the performance evaluation has been performed by comparative analysis of the proposed converter with some prior art high power AC/DC converters. Efficiencies of the proposed and prior art high power topologies have been determined for different load conditions. The highest efficiency, power factor and lower THDI of the proposed converter topology complies with international standards.

The italian reality is particularly interesting because of existing linguistic diversity - the coexistence of varied forms of italian language and dialects. In this kind of a situation, called dilalia, many different phenomena of language contact may appear, and the choice of language may perform a relevant function for its users.
L'identità sociale è un argomento ampio e complesso in cui la lingua può svolgere un importante ruolo, come mezzo per esprimere il pensiero. In questa prospettiva la realtà italiana è particolarmente interessante per la sua grande differenziazione linguistica che consiste nella compresenza di varietà della lingua comune e varietà di dialetti. In tale situazione di dilalìa hanno luogo vari fenomeni del contatto linguistico e le scelte linguistiche possono avere una funzione significativa per i parlanti.
Tożsamość społeczna to temat rozległy i skomplikowany, w którym język może odgrywać ważną rolę, jako sposób wyrażania myśli. Włoska rzeczywistość jest w tej kwestii szczególnie interesująca ze względu na duże zróżnicowanie językowe, polegające na współwystępowaniu odmian języka włoskiego i dialektów. W tego typu sytuacji, określanej jako dilalia, mają miejsce różne zjawiska kontaktu językowego, a wybór języka może pełnić znaczącą funkcję dla jego użytkowników.

Opis:: The backbone networks evolution to high-speed DWDM networks generates new problems for switching. This function element must be also based on optical technology. For large capacity this cannot be realized by a single matrix, but by multistage switching networks. In the paper three types of optical matrices have been described: fiber switch FX, wavelength fiber switch WSX and wavelength interchanging fiber switch WIX. Based on these matrices, four switching network constructions were considered. The connection properties of these switching networks were evaluated, determining the electronic equivalent switching network for which these properties are well known.

Funkcje zapożyczeń z języka angielskiego- code switching we współczesnym języku japońskim

Opis:: The aim of this thesis is to present functions of English-based loanwords in modern Japanese language, emphasizing the role of code switching. The thesis is composed of three chapters. Chapter one focuses on an attempt to define 'code switching' in Japanese. It also briefly describes the history of Japanese-English language contact. Chapter two presents the way of writing English loanwords in Japanese as well as the morphological and semantic changes that occur within the loanwords. The last chapter introduces the functions of English-based loanwords. The code switching is shown by analyzing song lyrics and commercial slogans.
Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie funkcji, które pełnią zapożyczenia angielskiego pochodzenia we współczesnym języku japońskim, zwracając przy tym szczególną uwagę na zjawisko code switchingu. Praca ta jest podzielona na trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy z nich skupia się na próbie definicji code switchingu na gruncie japońskim, a także na omówieniu historii japońsko-angielskiego kontaktu językowego. Drugi rozdział zajmuje się zasadami funkcjonowania zapożyczeń w języku japońskim, przybliżając sposób ich zapisu oraz zachodzące w nich zmiany semantyczne i morfologiczne. Trzeci rozdział natomiast przedstawi funkcje wyrazów obcego pochodzenia w języku japońskim. Na przykładach tekstów kultury popularnej zostanie omówione zjawisko code switchingu.

Opis:: In this paper the new packet switch architecture with multiple output queuing (MOQ) is proposed. In this architecture the nonblocking switch fabric, which has the capacity of N _N2 N2, and output buffers arranged into N separate queues for each output, are applied. Each of N queues in one output port stores packets directed to this output only from one input. Both switch fabric and buffers can operate at the same speed as input and output ports. This solution does not need any speedup in the switch fabric as well as arbitration logic for taking decisions which packets from inputs will be transferred to outputs. Two possible switch fabric structures are considered: the centralized structure with the switch fabric located on one or several separate boards, and distributed structure with the switch fabric distributed over line cards. Buffer arrangements as separate queues with independent write pointers or as a memory bank with one pointer are also discussed. The mean cell delay and cell loss probability as performance measures for the proposed switch architecture are evaluated and compared with performance of OQ architecture and VOQ architecture. The hardware complexity of OQ, VOQ and presented MOQ are also compared. We conclude that hardware complexity of proposed switch is very similar to VOQ switch but its performance is comparable to OQ switch.

Opis:: This article presents a new recurrent method for modelling multi-service switching networks with overflow links. In the proposed method, the blocking probability for a given stage of the switching network is determined on the basis of the characteristics of the preceding stage. A particular attention is given to a possibility of a considerable reduction of the internal blocking probability of the switching network that would result from an application of additional overflow links between neighbouring switches of the first stage of the network. The results of the analytical modelling of selected multi-service switching networks with overflow links in the first stage are compared with the results of the simulation experiments. The study confirms the accuracy of all the adopted theoretical assumptions in the proposed analytical model of the multi-service switching network.

Opis:: Physical phenomena occurring in high-current contact systems of electric switches, when switching on unloaded transformers and capacitor banks, are much more dangerous than the phenomena occurring in the contact switch systems installed in other electric power systems. Switching on unloaded transformers may be accompanied by significant over-currents, greatly exceeding the nominal currents of the transformer. Connecting the capacities of capacitor banks causes transients in the circuit, leading to significant, fast over-currents and over-voltages. High-frequency currents may be transmitted by electromagnetic couplings to control circuits and other low-voltage circuits. The subject of the paper is the analysis of transient processes during switching on unloaded transformers and the capacities of capacitor banks. Additionally, the authors assess the impact of the power switching phase in particular circuits on the over-currents which arise there.
Zjawiska fizyczne zachodzące w wielkoprądowych układach stykowych łączników elektrycznych podczas załączania transformatorów nieobciążonych oraz baterii kondensatorów są o wiele groźniejsze w skutkach niż zjawiska występujące w układach stykowych łączników zainstalowanych w innych układach elektroenergetycznych. Załączaniu transformatorów nieobciążonych towarzyszyć mogą znaczne przetężenia, przekraczające istotnie wartości prądów znamionowych transformatora. Łączenie pojemności baterii kondensatorów wywołuje stany przejściowe w danym obwodzie, prowadzące do znacznych, szybkozmiennych przetężeń prądowych i przepięć. Prądy wysokiej częstotliwości mogą się przenosić przez sprzężenia elektromagnetyczne na obwody sterownicze i inne obwody niskiego napięcia. Analiza procesów przejściowych podczas załączania transformatorów nieobciążonych oraz pojemności baterii kondensatorów, a także ocena wpływu fazy załączania prądu w poszczególnych obwodach na powstające tam przetężenia są przedmiotem artykułu.

Opis:: This paper is devoted to evaluating the performance of Space-Memory-Memory (SMM) Clos-network switches under a packet dispatching scheme employing static connection patterns, referred to as Static Dispatching (SD). The control algorithm with static connection patterns can be easily implemented in the SMM fabric due to bufferless switches in the first stage. Stability is one of the very important performance factors of packet switching nodes. In general, a switch is stable for a particular arrival process if the expected length of the packet queues does not increase without limitation. To prove the stability of the SMM Clos-network switches considered under the SD packet dispatching scheme the discrete Markov chain model of the switch is used and Foster’s criteria to extend Lyapunov’s second (direct) method of stability investigation of discrete time stochastic systems are used. The results of simulation experiments, in terms of average cell delay and packet queue lengths, are shown as well.
