Opis:: In this paper I present a program Maxima, which is one of the best computer algebra system (CAS). The program is easy to use and offers many possibilities. In the text the interface, basic commands, and various examples to facilitate complex calculations in almost every field of mathematics are preented. I prove that the program can be used in secondary schools, upper secondary schools and college. Program’s capabilities are presented, including, among others, differentiation and symbolic integration, symbolic solving equations (including differential), simplifying algebraic expressions, matrix operations, the possibility of drawing graphs of 2D / 3D and others.

Opis:: We present IntU package for Mathematica computer algebra system. The presented package performs a symbolic integration of polynomial functions over the unitary group with respect to unique normalized Haar measure. We describe a number of special cases which can be used to optimize the calculation speed for some classes of integrals. We also provide some examples of usage of the presented package.

Opis:: From the moment academics began to reflect on the divided towns of the Polish-German border their investigations were directed to such phenomena as cooperation, closer relations, unification, connection, integration, becoming similar, and overcoming barriers, as is clearly observable in the publications that emerged in the 1970s, the period of the first post-war opening of the Polish-German border for passport-free traffic. This article addresses the validity and usefulness of such a perspective on divided towns. Do the researchers not tacitly yield to the conviction that integration is the only reasonable destiny for divided towns and does this conviction not tend to be based on a theory of horizontal Europeanization? Should opposing, or at least slightly different scenarios, not be considered? While searching to answer these questions and attempting to dispel doubts the author makes use of empirical studies conducted in the Polish-German borderland.

Opis:: Tradycyjna metoda elementów brzegowych (MEB) pozwala uzyskać rozwiązanie problemu, ale tylko w przypadku istnienia znanego rozwiązania fundamentalnego. Bardziej uniwersalne podejście oferuje MEB Fouriera, która realizuje, przy pewnych założeniach, obliczenia bez znajomości rozwiązania podstawowego. Równoważność obu metod została pokazana w pracy. Współczynniki ostatecznego układu równań liniowych wyznaczane są w przestrzeni Fouriera. W artykule zaprezentowano implementację całkowania symbolicznego w pakiecie Matlab do wyznaczania całek osobliwych w MEB Fouriera.
The traditional Boundary Element Method (BEM) allows for the solution of the problem, but only if there is a known fundamental solution. A more universal approach the Fourier BEM offers. It implements, under certain assumptions, calculations without knowing the fundamental solution. The equivalence of both methods is shown in. Coefficients of the final system of linear equations are determined in the Fourier space. The paper presents the implementation of the symbolic integration in MATLAB to determine the singular integrals in Fourier BEM.

Opis:: This study examines the relationship between psychological flexibility and attitudes, perceptions, and feelings towards individuals with disabilities and towards integrating people with disabilities in society. This integrated study, presented here, is a stage in a broader study that examined the relationship between psychological flexibility, educational elements, and various components that take part in shaping and assimilating perceptions and attitudes towards disabilities. The study presented here was conducted in two parts: The first part included data collection and quantitative analysis from 153 adult subjects to understand the statistical relationship between psychological resilience and attitudes toward disability. The second part included integrated data collection and analysis, quantitative and qualitative, from 60 respondents, 30 children, and 30 adults, to deepen our understanding regarding the correlations between psychological flexibility and the approach towards disabilities and the understanding of components that affect the correlation. The study shows a positive correlation between psychological flexibility and an attitude towards disabilities, and contributes to deepening the understanding of components that have different effects on this relationship.

Opis:: This study is part of a broader study that examined the correlation between cognitive, psychological, and behavioural abilities in parents and their children. It focuses on the correlations between attitude to disability and the integration of people with disabilities among parents and their children. This study is a two-part integrated study. In the first part, the data were collected and analysed according to a quantitative methodology to examine access to disabilities, the integration of people with disabilities, and the factors that influence attitudes, feelings, and willingness to integrate with the general population. In the second part, the data were collected and analysed according to a qualitative methodology in order to examine the relationship of attitudes of parents and their children towards people with disabilities and the integration of people with disabilities.

Nacisk położony jest na analizę zjawiska w zakresie głównie symbolicznym.
