Opis:: Using a sample of 73 sanctioned and 60 non-sanctioned countries, as well as corruption data spanning the years 1995 to 2012, we attempt to find a relationship between economic sanctions and corruption in target countries . Our findings suggest that countries that have undergone economic sanctions appear to be more corrupt than non-sanctioned countries. We also find that comprehensive economic sanctions tend to generate more corruption than partial sanctions. In this study, we run a regression to determine a linear relationship between corruption as the dependent variable and a number of independent variables, to include economic sanctions, the origin of legal system, the percentage of Protestant population, democracy, and economic development.

Praca ukazuje, jak wygląda codzienność obywateli totalitarnego państwa, na co są oni narażeni oraz jak bardzo muszą się poświęcać, by osiągnąć wolność i spokój.Praca oparta jest wyłącznie na załączonych źródłach. Zawierają one wszelkie potrzebne i możliwe do zdobycia informacje, które pozwoliły dokładnie przedstawić temat. Podstawowym wynikiem pracy jest ukazanie terroru władz Korei Północnej, koszmaru ucieczki oraz integracji w państwach docelowych.
The purpose of this work entitled "The road through hell to a new life - escapes fromThe "Democratic People's Republic of Korea" is to present the topic of defecting from North Korea. Not only the process itself but also the reasons for it, as well as the integration of refugees in the countries of destination have been analyzed. The work shows what citizens' everyday lives of a totalitarian state look like, what they are exposed to, and how much they have to sacrifice to achieve freedom and peace.The paper is based solely on the sources attached. They contain all the necessary and obtainable information that made it possible to present the topic accurately. The primary outcome of the work is to show the terror in the North Korean authorities, the nightmare of escape, and integration in the target countries.
