The plurality of academic didactics paradigms : on the need for complementarity of approaches

Opis:: This paper refers to the concept of interdisciplinary nature of academic didactics as a field of social sciences which uses knowledge and results derived from educational sciences, psychology, philosophy, sociology and didactics specific to particular subjects. It was pointed out that considerations on the teaching practice in all the scientific disciplines constitute another source of knowledge in the field of academic didactics. Diversity of theoretical and methodological approaches is determined by science-specific and discipline-specific research methodology paradigms, diversified teaching culture dependent on environmental conditions as well as diversified teaching class patters for students which are often specific to an educational profile. The issue addressed in this paper is whether there is a single didactical paradigm that would unify approaches so different in terms of theory and practice. The paper provides a map of academic didactics paradigms, description of difficulties related to paradigmatic translations as well as lack of consent to multiparadigm approach and issues with interferences and shifts between paradigms. Despite the existing difficulties suggestion is made to promote complementary attitude to various approaches. It is supported by the concept of relations between the assumed academic didactics effects and teaching strategies that lead thereto, which are constituted by different teaching and learning patterns.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to show the process of studying young people remotely and to search for solutions leading to the improvement of the process in the perspective of deep and reflective learning. The article aims to solve the problem: how is the process of studying young people remotely? The method of individual cases, the technique of uncategorized, in-depth interview, was used to solve the problem. In the theoretical part, attention was paid to understanding the process of studying in the light of various didactic paradigms and an attempt was made to outline the approach of a deep and reflective learning process, looking for ways to improve the process of studying young people in this perspective. In the empirical part, the course of the process of studying the respondents remotely was presented, highlighting, above all, the components to which the respondents drew attention in their statements. The analysis of the empirical material shows that the process of studying young people is understood surface, superficially, it is limited to taking actions offered by the university on the educational platform. Students do not use their potential in the process of studying, they do not show full, possible commitment. The analysis of the empirical material leads to the development of practical guidelines aimed at improving the process of studying young people, which result from the assumptions of deep and reflective learning. The research shows the need to focus attention on the process of studying and its effectiveness, the need to take action by academic teachers, and above all by students focused on improving the process.
Celem artykułu jest ukazanie przebiegu procesu studiowania młodzieży w formie zdalnej i poszukiwanie rozwiązań prowadzących do doskonalenia procesu w perspektywie uczenia się głębokiego i refleksyjnego. W artykule zmierzano do rozwiązania problemu: jak przebiega proces studiowania młodzieży w formie zdalnej? Do rozwiązania problemu wykorzystano metodę indywidualnych przypadków, technikę wywiadu nieskategoryzowanego, pogłębionego. W części teoretycznej zwrócono uwagę na rozumienie procesu studiowania w świetle różnych paradygmatów dydaktycznych oraz podjęto próbę zarysowania podejścia głębokiego i refleksyjnego procesu uczenia się, poszukując w tej perspektywie sposobów na udoskonalenie procesu studiowania młodzieży. W części empirycznej zaprezentowano przebieg procesu studiowania badanych w formie zdalnej, eksponując przede wszystkim komponenty, na które zwracali uwagę badani w swoich wypowiedziach. Z analizy materiału empirycznego wynika, że proces studiowania młodzieży jest rozumiany płytko, powierzchownie, ogranicza się do podejmowania działań oferowanych przez uczelnię na platformie edukacyjnej. Studenci nie wykorzystują swojego potencjału w procesie studiowania, nie wykazują pełnego możliwego zaangażowania. Analiza materiału empirycznego prowadzi do opracowania wskazań praktycznych ukierunkowanych na doskonalenie procesu studiowania młodzieży, które wynikają z założeń uczenia się głębokiego i refleksyjnego. Z badań wynika potrzeba koncentracji uwagi na procesie studiowania i jego efektywności, potrzeba podjęcia działań przez nauczycieli akademickich, a przede wszystkim przez studentów ukierunkowanych na doskonalenie procesu.

Opis:: Aim: This article was written out of a felt need to reflect on the relationship between economic theories and models on the one hand and the empirical world as we experience it on the other. The question is in particular whether it is possible for economic models and theories to say anything definitive about the world we live in. Design/Research methods: The article relies on professional publications, both within the field of economics and outside of it. Conclusions/findings: There is much reason for humility, economic models and theories have hardly anything definitive to say about the empirical world, and there is a need for a more varied menu of theories and models and for a listening ear for the needs and fears of the population at large. The best we can do is discussing competing and conflicting views in a polite way. However, this requires a Sprachethik that looks more and more like an endangered species. Originality/value of the article: Recent developments concerning the reach of economic models and theories are related to earlier discussions and a way forward is sketched

Opis:: The aim of the article is to present the changes in the education – from transmissive teaching to transformative learning. The article presents the basic assumptions and definitions of learning, teaching and education. Next, the main learning paradigms are shown: transmissive, behavioral, cognitive and constructive. Transformative learning – key to this work, is based on the paradigmatic framework of social constructivism, but it is clearly related to critical theories. Transformative learning is presented as the most appropriate educational pattern corresponding to the modern times. The final considerations show transformative learning in relation to contemporary educational, national, European and global regulations.
Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie przemian w zakresie edukacji – od transmisyjnego nauczania do transformatywnego uczenia się. Artykuł przedstawia podstawowe założenia i definicje uczenia się, nauczania oraz edukacji. W dalszej kolejności przedstawiono główne paradygmaty uczenia się: transmisyjny, behawioralny, kognitywny oraz konstruktywny. Kluczowe dla tej pracy uczenie się transformatywne oparte jest na paradygmatycznej ramie konstruktywizmu społecznego, ale wyraźnie nawiązuje do teorii krytycznych. Transformatywne uczenie się jest ukazane jako najodpowiedniejszy – odpowiadający czasom współczesnym – wzorzec edukacyjny. Końcowe rozważania dotyczą uczenia się transformatywnego w nawiązaniu do współczesnych regulacji edukacyjnych: krajowych, europejskich i globalnych.
