Opis:: The rapid development of technology is one of the major challenges of today’s organizations. The unprecedented capabilities offered by technology simultaneously create the demands of constant change and development of organizations themselves and their employees. For many years human-technology interaction in organization have remained in focus of interdiciplinary resarch, which resulted in several theories and models explaining technology acceptance. The aim of this paper is to present the state of the art in technology acceptance research and to introduce technology readiness theory (Parasuraman, 2000). Also the practical implications of technology readiness for human resources management will be discussed.

Opis:: The article discusses selected aspects concerning Technology Assessment (TA) as an institutionalised way of supporting public policy in the area of technology governance. In the last forty years numerous approaches, concepts, perspectives and practices have been developed and resulted in many research projects conducted in various institutional settings. This vast experience and richness of TA solutions allows an attempt to summarise and critically present its evolution from classical model to more recent approaches based on participation, stakeholder involvement, public dialogue and good governance. The article begins with a brief overview of the history of TA development in the USA and Europe. In the next part a comparison between the classical and participatory model of TA is presented. Main focus is placed on various types of participatory approach and its use in different settings like technology conflicts and innovation management.

Opis:: Za cel artykułu przyjęto usystematyzowanie wiedzy z zakresu rozumienia pojęcia technologii oraz przybliżenie procesu zarządzania technologią. Zwrócono uwagę na współczesne, systemowe ujęcie technologii oraz dokonano identyfikacji komponentów systemu technologicznego. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono także na jedno ze współczesnych narzędzi wspomagających działania w zakresie zarządzania technologią, jakim jest foresight technologiczny. W artykule wyodrębniono również wspólne płaszczyzny procesu zarządzania technologią oraz badań foresightu technologicznego.
The aim of the article was to systematize the knowledge that is concerned with understanding the concept of technology and is a closer look at the process of technology management. Special attention was drawn to contemporary systemic perspective on technology and technological components of the technology system. The author also drew particular attention to one of the tools supporting activities with in technology management, which is called technological foresight. In this paper, there have been also identified common layers of the process of technology management and technology foresight research.

Opis:: The main aim of this article is to identify and present the relevant concepts and methods of technology analysis. On the basis of the bibliometric analysis of scientific articles, research subareas related to the technology analysis were selected. Relationships between earlier executed research in this field were determined. Taking into account the obtained map of relationships, the possibility of the use of technology analysis was indicated. Also, methods used to analyse the current state of technology and concepts used for the prospective technology analysis were identified. Then, the concepts of predicting the technology development were discussed and compared. The conclusions from the conducted study can be used as the basis for determining the critical directions for the development of research areas related to the technology analysis.

Opis:: The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting in-service teachers’ application-based educational technology and material development skills intended to be taught in the newly adopted Educational Technologies and Material Development course in Turkey. A total of randomly selected 2600 elementary education, science, mathematics, social sciences and Turkish Language teachers working in urban elementary and middle schools in Turkey participated in the study. It was found that male and female teachers’ application-based educational technology and material development skill levels are not significantly different. Science, elementary and social sciences teachers’ skill levels are significantly higher than Turkish Language teachers’ skill level. It was also found that teachers’ application-based educational technology and material development skill level can be predicted by years of teaching experience, teachers’ perception on the importance of the skills and teachers’ perception on school infrastructure supporting the use of the skills in the classroom.
