Opis:: This article presents an overview of basic issues related to the knowledge and technology transfer at Polish universities. First, the activities of technology transfer centres and special purpose vehicles are presented. Next, the key stages of the commercialization process are discussed with particular emphasis on its financial and legal aspects. In the final section the activities of the Polish Association of Centres for Technology Transfer are described.

Opis:: W artykule podjęto cel opisowy, tj. przedstawienie, jak w świetle słów kluczowych kształtuje się tematyka oferty zawartej w Bazie Usług Badawczych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, którą udostępnia Centrum Transferu Technologii CITTRU. Przeprowadzono analizę słów kluczowych pod względem częstotliwości ich występowania w opisach ofert. Dane pozyskano za pomocą techniki web scrapingu. W analizie uwzględniono poszczególne słowa kluczowe i grupy słów kluczowych. Wyniki analizy wykazały, że oferta przedstawiona przez Centrum Transferu Technologii CITTRU jest różnorodna pod względem tematycznym.
The purpose of this paper is to show how the topics of contract research offers, which were presented by the Centre for Technology Transfer CITTRU in the Jagiellonian University Contract Research Database, are shaped in light of keywords. A keyword analysis was carried out in terms of the frequency of occurrence in the offers descriptions. The data was obtained using the web scraping technique. Individual keywords and keyword groups were included in the analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the offers presented by the Centre for Technology Transfer CITTRU are diverse in terms of subject matter.

Formal analysis of offers included in the Jagiellonian University Contract Research Database

Opis:: Celem podjętym w pracy jest przeanalizowanie opisów ofert usług badawczych zamieszczanych w Bazie Usług Badawczych UJ prowadzonej przez CITTRU. Materiał z przedmiotowej bazy pozyskano techniką web scrapingu, a następnie przetworzono za pomocą narzędzi: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI i Tableau. W toku analizy stwierdzono występowanie 19 wariantów schematu opisu ofert badawczych. Omówiono także, w aspekcie ilościowym, rodzaje usług i proponowane formy współpracy. Badanie ma charakter eksploracyjny i opisowy, toteż wnioski wyprowadzone z jego wyników, niebędące postulatami, a jedynie stwierdzeniami, mogą posłużyć do usprawnienia analizowanej bazy.
The aim of this paper is to analyze the schemes of descriptions of research services offers specified in the Jagiellonian University Contract Research Database. The material was obtained via web scarping technique, and then processed using the following tools: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI and Tableau. The analysis discovered 19 variants of schemes applied to the descriptions of research offers, types of services and proposed forms of cooperation. The study is exploratory and descriptive in nature, therefore the conclusions drawn from its results, which are not postulates, but only statements, can be used to improve the analyzed database.

Sposoby wykorzystywania funduszy unijnych przez wybrane instytucje publiczne w Krakowie

Opis:: Tematem pracy są „Sposoby wykorzystywania funduszy unijnych przez wybrane instytucje publiczne w Krakowie. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy z nich przedstawia podstawowe informacje na temat funduszy strukturalnych, omawia politykę strukturalną Unii Europejskiej oraz wybrane instrumenty finansowe polityki strukturalnej na lata 2007 – 2013, a następnie prezentuje projekt, jako jedno z narzędzi wykorzystywania funduszy unijnych. Kolejny rozdział traktuje o dwóch wybranych pozawydziałowych jednostkach działających przy i na rzecz Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego, a mianowicie Wszechnicę Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego oraz Centrum Innowacji, Transferu Technologii i Rozwoju Uniwersytetu. W dalszej części rozdziału drugiego zaprezentowano wybrane działania projektowe wyżej wymienionych jednostek. Część trzecia ilustruje analizę materiału badawczego oraz ocenę realizacji wybranych projektów dofinansowanych z funduszy unijnych. Zakończenie trzeciego rozdziału stanowią wnioski z przeprowadzonych badań.
The theme of the thesis is "The Examples of use European Union funds by selected public institutions in Cracow”. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter presents basic information of the Structural Funds, discusses the structural policy of the European Union and selected financial instruments of structural policy, and then presents the project as a tool of using EU funds. The next chapter describes two selected University’s institutions: Wszechnica UJ and Centre for Innovations Technology Transfer and University Development. Subsequently there are presented selected EU projects which have been realized by Wszechnica UJ and CITTRU. The third chapter displays the analysis, evaluation, results and the conclusions of the research over the presented projects.

The article presents the structure of the Domestic and Regional Innovation Systems, the range of their operations and competences. The Canters of Technology Transfer, the basic aims of their operations, the formation genesis as well as the most important development plans are also characterised. What is further more presented are the Technological and Academic Incubators of Enterprise, their range and the structure of enterprises being in incubators. Finally, the article discusses resources of the Technological Parks, the structure of their occupants plus barriers and opportunities of their development.
