Opis:: Based on research with a new instrument to measure creative potential – Test of Creative Imagination (TCI) eight separate studies are presented, where TCI and other measures were used. In study 1 TCI was used together with the well-known measure of creativity – Urban & Jellen Test of Creative Thinking Drawing Production. In study 2 validity of TCI was evaluated using Popek’s KANH (CANH) questionnaire – the Polish measure of creative attitude. In study 3 relations among creative imagination (TCI) and types of mind were assessed, in study 4 possible interrelations between TCI and measures of intuitiveness – rationality, and in studies 5 & 6 relations between creative imagination and personality and psychological needs, respectively. Study 7 was developed to show relations between TCI and hierarchy of values, and the last – 8 study to evaluate relations between TCI and academic and emotional intelligence. The results show some significant relations between the results obtained in TCI and the used tests and questionnaires and the results confirm the value of the new instrument.

Opis:: Prezentowana praca składa się z dwóch rozdziałów teoretycznych, rozdziału metodologicznego oraz badawczego, których celem było zdiagnozowanie i rozpoznanie potencjału krakowskich muzeów do stymulowania i rozwijania wyobraźni twórczej u dzieci. Autorka pracy założyła, że na wspomniany potencjał składają się: 1) przestrzeń muzeum bogata w wizualną stymulację, 2) zajęcia prowadzone w muzeum oraz 3) poziom wyobraźni twórczej edukatorów muzealnych. Analizując i badając wymienione składowe autorka odpowiedziała na zadane w pracy problemy szczegółowe i zdiagnozowała potencjał krakowskich muzeów do stymulowania i rozwijania wyobraźni twórczej dzieci. Praca jest odpowiedzią autorki na brak prowadzonych w polskich muzeach badań nad twórczością i wyobraźnią twórczą w kontekście i odniesieniu do przestrzeni i działalności edukacyjnej muzeów, jak również brak opracowań naukowych dotyczących wykorzystywania koncepcji twórczych w obszarze edukacji. Przeprowadzona przez autorkę diagnoza potencjału krakowskich muzeów do rozwijania wyobraźni twórczej ma stać się punktem wyjścia do dalszych badań w tym zakresie.
The presented work consists of two theoretical chapters, one methodological chapter and one research chapter. The aim of the work is to diagnose and recognize the potential of Kraków's museums to stimulate and develop the creative imagination of children. The author of the work assumed that the potential consists of: 1) museum space rich in visual stimulation, 2) classes taught in the museum, and 3) the level of creative imagination of museum educators. Analyzing and examining the above-mentioned components, the author responded to specific problems set in the work and diagnosed the potential of Kraków's museums to stimulate and develop the creative imagination of children. The work is the author's response to the lack of research conducted in Polish museums on creativity and creative imagination in the context and relation to the space and educational activity of museums, as well as the lack of scientific studies on the use of creative concepts in the area of education. The diagnosis of the potential of Kraków's museums to develop creative imagination by the author is to become a starting point for further research in this area.
