Opis:: Polish screenwriter Marzena Sowa is the author of the comics’ cycle about Marzi, which was published in the years 2005–2011 and was an international success (the drawings prepared by Sylvain Savoia). The storiesabout the red-haired girl, the daughter of the workman and the resident of industrial city are the forms autobiographical, that show the reality of life in Poland in the 1980s. The prospect of a child, who is a careful observer of the adult world, has allowed the presentation of history of country in Central Europe at the end of communism. The cycle of Marzi presents an evocative picture of experience “last generation of PRL”, is the witness to the contemporary culture and the record of the struggles of society with the problems of everyday life in “difficult times”. Since its debut in 2005, the critic compares this comic diary from the time of puberty to the famous Persepolisof Marjane Satrapi. For the modern reader the books of Marzena Sowa is a valuable source of knowledge about Poland in the days of “Solidarity” and Lech Wałęsa, as well as the iconic comics that has a big power of social and cultural impact.

Opis:: The article addresses the theoretical issues of the protection of the state interests in the Ukrainian law. The protection of the state interests, being an objective necessity from the perspective of the development of the state and the civil society, requires legal measures to be applied by the state. The core aspect in the analysis of the process of the protection of the state interests by such measures is the theoretical understanding of the state interests concept, including their definition and the requisite qualifications. Based on the approaches of the domestic as well as of the international law on human rights the state interests are proposed to be viewed as objective interests, public in nature, comprising the underlying general social needs, acknowledged by the state. The state interest include, further, the appropriate legal means by which such interests are capable of being protected. Such measures should be relevant to the respective state interests as well as to the specific social relationships in which such measures are to be applied.

Opis:: Attalus III based the position of his state in Asia Minor mostly on his military successes. Nevertheless, he skilfully enhanced these successes with diplomacy. His most important tools in this respect became euergetism, philhellenism, as well as making appropriate use of the popularity that was brought by his victories over the Galatians. Establishing relationships with the Greek states of Asia Minor was of considerable importance for the Attalids’ state. In this respect, Attalus’ achievements are indisputable.

Insurance services in dealing with the risk of running small and medium-sized enterprises.

Opis:: The subject matters in assessing the supply of insurance services for small and medium-sized enterprises. The subject of analysis were the insurance companies operating on the Polish market. There has been made an assessment of that supply on the basis of previously prepared model and appropriate criteria. It demonstrates the fact that insurance companies recognize the small and medium-sized entrepreneurs as one of the dominant groups of clients. The insurance companies offer takes into account the specific needs of the business sector, distinguishing between the professional specialisation and individual groups of risk associated with them. Property Insurance and Third Party Insurance are products most frequently chosen in a form of individual or package services. The recipients' awareness of this type of services increases. In the majority of surveyed companies the offers they cover are comprehensive in terms of subject and range. The basic issues related to the running of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland the management of risk taking in business and the specific function of insurance in this field were discussed. Technical part was established using the available literature of the subject and publications created by the insurance companies for clients of the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Przedmiot rozważania stanowi ocena podaży usług ubezpieczeniowych dla małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. Analizie poddane zostały towarzystwa ubezpieczeń działające na rynku polskim. Na podstawie zbudowanego modelu, w oparciu o wskazane kryteria, dokonano oceny owej podaży. Dowodzi się faktu, iż firmy ubezpieczeniowe dostrzegają małych i średnich przedsiębiorców, jako jedną z dominujących grup klientów. Oferta ubezpieczeń opracowana jest z uwzględnieniem specyficznych potrzeb tego sektora przedsiębiorstw, rozróżniając specjalizację branżową oraz indywidualne grupy ryzyka z nimi związane. Produkty najczęściej wybierane to ubezpieczenie mienia oraz odpowiedzialności cywilnej, dostępne w formie ubezpieczenia samoistnego bądź pakietowego. Wzrasta świadomość ubezpieczeniowa adresatów tego typu usług. W większości badanych towarzystw oferta ubezpieczeniowa jest wyczerpująca pod względem przedmiotowym i zakresowym. Omówione zostały także podstawowe zagadnienia związane z funkcjonowaniem małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw w Polsce oraz tematyka zarządzania ryzykiem w działalności gospodarczej i szczególna funkcja ubezpieczeń w tym zakresie. Część merytoryczna powstała przy wykorzystaniu dostępnej literatury przedmiotu oraz publikacji stworzonych przez towarzystwa ubezpieczeń dla klientów z sektora małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw.

Opis:: The article presents the genesis and the features of the Renaissance religious writings of the Tatars of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the context of the translations of the Bible into national languages. An analysis was performed on a Tatar tefsir, which – according to the most recent research – is a translation of the Qur’an into a European language – the third translation of this kind in the world. Due to the fact that in the 16th century a Polish and even a European Qur’anic translational tradition did not exist, this translation makes reference to the Biblical-psalter literature of the Middle Ages and to the translations of the Scripture of the Reformation, inter alia as far as the selection of the methods and the ways of translation or the adoption of specific translational solutions is concerned. Thus the translation belongs to the translational tradition of sacred books and to the most important trends of Polish and European culture. In this context, a medieval tradition (a continuation of the achievements of translation studies of the 15th c.) and the innovation of the Renaissance overlap. There is an analogy with the 16th-century Biblical printed texts, which also represent a transitional stage – they make reference to a medieval tradition and they also take advantage of the benefits of humanist Biblical studies.

Opis:: In this paper the author is dealing with combinations of tense forms in Serbian folk epic poetry and he statistically proves that the present tense is the predominant tense form in this kind of Serbian folk poetry. He is trying to discover the main reasons for such use of the present tense. As regards combinations of tense forms in Serbian folk epic poetry, they are rather free and depend, primarily, on the manner of presenting the epic content and on the length of the poem, but there is above all a certain regularity resulting in firm systems.

Opis:: One of the aims of the Neoplatonists is to demonstrate that ancient Presocratic thought is, in fact, a Preplatonic thought. According to the Neoplatonists, Presocratics, who were not far from the truth, employed an inaccurate and ambiguous language, whereas Plato spoke about the truth in a more appropriate and clear way. That is why the Presocratics are not necessarily erroneous and their theoretical originality and their terminology can be incorporated into the Neoplatonic philosophy. I would like to show how some Presocratic theories are embedded in the Neoplatonic metaphysical system of the three Hypostases. Regarding the One and the Intellect, Plotinus, Proclus and the Anonymous Author of the Prolegomena to Platonic Philosophy read and employ some Presocratic texts in order to harmonize the Platonic and the Presocratic accounts. Although the Neoplatonists see themselves as continuing the Greek philosophical tradition started by the Presocratics, their interpretation of Presocratic thought illustrates the birth of exegetic philosophy which is able to apply ancient concepts and predicates to its own metaphysical theory.
