Opis:: Problemy współczesnego zarządzania obejmują zjawiska na wielu poziomach analizy. W zarządzaniu strategicznym eksplorowane są różne podejścia badawcze: od uznawanych za klasyczne, jak planowanie długookresowe, po te współcześnie intensywnie poddawane eksploracji naukowej jak: podejście zasobowe czy zdolności dynamiczne. W centrum uwagi są relacje między organizacją i otoczeniem, a sposób ich postrzegania i wyjaśniania determinuje generalizację i implikacje praktyczne. Autor podjął się próby operacjonalizacji zdolności dynamicznych przedsiębiorstw w ujęciu ewolucyjnym. Stąd rozważania dotyczą procesu budowy nowej organizacji przedsiębiorstwa, znaczenie rutyn organizacyjnych, kompetencji interpersonalnych menedżerów.
The problems of modern management include phenomena at many levels of analysis. In strategic management, various research approaches are explored: from those considered classical, such as long-term planning, to those currently intensely subjected to scientific exploration as a resource approach or dynamic capacity. The focus is on the relationship between the organization and the environment, and the way they are perceived and explained determines generalization and practical implications. The author undertook attempts to operationalize the dynamic capabilities of enterprises in an evolutionary approach. Therefore, the considerations concern the process of building a new organization of an enterprise, the importance of organizational routines, interpersonal competences of managers.

Opis:: To call Laurie Anderson a multimedia artist – as she herself has done on more than one occasion – is to state something so obvious as to be nearly meaningless. Indeed, it is as redundant as to say that her work has persistently concerned the future. Offering universalizing depictions of American postmodernity through the new technologies that were the theme of many of her projects, Anderson has, nevertheless, persistently stressed her attachment to a very traditional art form, that of storytelling. Paradoxically, however, this ancient form implies an interest in the future just as intense as and perhaps in fact even more fundamental than her cutting-edge interactive installations and multimedia performances. Voicing her concern about whether there is indeed any future before humanity, Anderson presented herself in a recent interview as an artist in danger of being radically deprived of her medium, which for a storyteller is, by definition, the future. My paper is a look at the various facets of futures conceptualized by Laurie Anderson over the forty years of her artistic activity, stretching from political fear and anger, through philosophical reflection, to personal considerations of our individual temporality.

Opis:: The article presents an analysis of the construction of future scenarios in relation to conflict and communication technologies (CTs), on the basic of Delphi+ workshops and essay-writing sessions. Grounded in a theoretical reflection on the various forms of conflict—distinguishing between armed, grey zone and democratic conflict—in combination with theoretical reflections on the role of CTs in conflict, and the future imaginings of (communication) technologies, the analysis discusses six future imaginaries. Four of these future scenarios are negative as in a power take-over, the intensification of both an armed conflict, and of democratic conflict, and the harm inflicted on the environment and society in general. The two positive scenarios are the protective role of supranational organizations and cultural change. Together, these six scenarios form a map of how European experts are concerned about media/technology and military/technology assemblages, and how they place their hope in supranational political institutions and cultural change.

Opis:: My work: "Anty – utopian visions of the future in American Science Fiction cinema”, presents the concept of science fiction, dystopia and utopia. I described the definitions and history each of the issues. Anti - utopian cinematic versions of the future are divided into three categories: 1 . “Machine as a new citizen and the ruler of the world"- based on the movie Blade Runner and I Robot, 2 "The price and value of human life " – The Island and Children of Men. 3. “Control, surveillance, terror” category, which describes films, such as: Minority Report and Equilibrium.
Praca licencjacka przedstawia XX wieczne antyutopijne wizje przyszłości w amerykańskim kinie science fiction. W pierwszym rozdziale dokładnie wyjaśnione jest pojęcie science fiction. Przedstawiona jest definicja, historia oraz wyznaczniki gatunkowe. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest pojęciu antyutopii – skąd się wywodzi i czym jest. Dużo miejsca również poświęcone jest utopii. Ostatni rozdział pracy - „Kinowe wersje dysutopijnej przyszłości” podzielony jest na trzy kategorie: 1.„Maszyna jako nowy obywatel i władca świata” – przedstawione są w niej relacje człowieka przyszłości z rozwiniętą technologią, oraz skutki rozwoju mechaniki; zawiera opis filmów: Łowca Androidów i Ja Robot. 2. „Cena i wartość ludzkiego życia” – w świecie zaprezentowanym w tej kategorii, nie ma miejsca dla jednostek, a ludzkie życie nie posiada żadnej wartości; przedstawione filmy to Wyspa i Ludzkie dzieci. Ostatnią kategorią jest „Kontrola, inwigilacja, terror”, dzieła w niej opisane to Raport mniejszości i Equilibrium – pokazana jest przyszłość, w której jednostki dla dobra ogółu pozbawiane są wolnej woli i możliwości decydowania o własnym życiu.

Opis:: The presented article is a commentary on the rotal sentence c. McKay of 14 May 2012. What attracted the author’s attention is the question of the condition concerning the future added to the marital contract. As the author stated in the introduction, the commentary did not appear as a result of a new doctrinal or procedural solution introduced in the legal order or in the actual form of the sentence. The main reason for writing it was the fact that in the course of the case a new question appeared which was not previously discussed in rotal jurisdiction and was connected with the plaintiff’s intention to make use of new procreational techniques such as heterological insemination and surrogate maternity.In the course of the discussed case, mentioning such events from the marital life of the parties did not bring the result awaited by the plaintiff, i.e. the annulment of marriage.The panel of judges based their argumentation on the fact that the subject of the condition was not precisely specified by the plaintiff while the main counter-argument against adding the condition to the marital contract wasthe long-lasting married life of the parties.

Opis:: Tekst jest poświęcony problemowi wykorzystania teorii obliczalności w naukach empirycznych, które kierują swoją uwagę na zdarzenia przyszłe. Podstawowy rozważany problem jest taki: jak połączyć intuicyjne pojęcie nieprzewidywalności ze ścisłym pojęciem obliczalności? Centralną dla tej linii myślenia jest jednak następująca kwestia: czy świat realny można modelować na komputerze? Autor zakłada, po pierwsze, że wiedza o przyszłości magazynowana jest w zdaniach, po drugie, że jeden ze sposobów jej uzyskania polega na wykorzystaniu matematycznych formuł opisujących ewolucję w czasie, to jest równań ruchu (zdania o przyszłości są więc zdaniami o położeniach obiektów w przyszłości). Cel jest ujęty trywialnie: pokazać, że zdania o przyszłości mogą być formułowane w sposób, który wymaga zaangażowania matematyki niealgorytmicznej. Bardziej precyzyjnie: pokazać, że dla każdego równia ruchu i wszelkich możliwych warunków początkowych nie istnieje program, który odpowiada tak/nie na pytanie, czy równanie posiada okresowe rozwiązania, czy nie. Schemat rozumowania jest następujący: zakładamy (reductio od absurdum), że maszyna Turinga wyposażona jest w program, który wycina okresowość w rozwiązaniach równań ruchu. Postulat testowania okresowości bierze się stąd, że jej obecność świadczy o efektywności operacji/funkcji. Jest jasne, że warunki początkowe muszą być obliczalne/ rekurencyjne. Z tego względu, że zbiór liczb rzeczywistych jest nieskończony/ nieprzeliczalny możemy dopuścić, że któraś operacja (funkcja) z ich udziałem będzie w końcu nieefektywna (rezultaty Banacha/Mazura, Turinga, Pour- El/Richardsa, Chaitina, Battermana). To upoważni nas do wykorzystania „twierdzenia o stopie” dla maszyny Turinga i w rezultacie do stwierdzenia, że klasa równań ruchu jest nierozstrzygalna.
The text is devoted to the problem of the application of the computability theory to empirical knowledge on future events. The fundamental problem examined in this paper is the following one: how to connect the intuitive concept of impredictability with the exact concept of computability? Central to this line of thought is the problem: can the real world be modeled on a computer? The author assumes: firstly, that the knowledge about the future is stored in statements, secondly, that a way of its acquiring depends on the usage of mathematical formulas which describe the evolution in time, that is, which are motion equations (statements about the future are statements about the positions of objects in the future). The task is trivial: to show that the statements about the future can be formulated in a way that demands the non-algorithmic mathematics application. More precisely: to show that for every motion equation and all possible initial (input) data, there is no programme which answers yes/no to the question whether the equation has the periodic solutions or no. The scheme of reasoning is as follows: we assume (reductio ad absurdum) that the Turing machine that solves every motion equation is equipped with the programme that cuts out periodic solutions. The testing of periodicity follows from the fact that its existence would show the computability of operation/function. It is obvious that the initial data must be computable/recursive. From that that the set real numbers is infinite/denumerable we can admit that some operation (function) will be uncomputable (results: Banach/Mazur, Turing, Pour-El/Richards, Chaitin, Batterman). That allows to apply the “Stop-Theorem” for the Turing machine, and, in the effect, to set forth that the class of motion equations is undecidable.

Opis:: The main aim of the article is presentation and operationalization of the concept of the places of the future in the context of seed banks. The future is understood here as a category of collective imagination, which means that the predicted future is an essential element of the present. The anticipated futures act reciprocally upon the social practices, both at the individual and the institution levels. Although, due to social, natural, civilizational and other reasons, the future is not fully predictable, it is semi-open, not-completely closed, it is recognized in the form of systemic thinking, which can be defined as closed. The analysis of the case of seed banks allowed revealing the inevitable gap between the future and systematic anticipation practices. The seed banks established in the face of the anticipated threat of global hunger are a tool for negotiating a possibly beneficial to people scenario for the future, conducted with non-human actors, whose actions are of probabilistic nature.

Opis:: This article presents the experience of a teacher – Erin Gruwell – an English literature teacher at a school in Long Beach, Los Angeles (California). The teacher, proposing in school writing a personal diary at school, created significant conditions for change for the students. The educational experiences offered by Erin Gruwell spurred the motivation to write diaries. Doing this has opened up a reflective space on their hard life: the students have begun to think about a future of hope. Theoretical background: Dynamic technological, social and civilization changes, as well as progressing globalization, significantly increase the level of difficulties faced by modern entrepreneurs. The turbulent and complex nature of the environment adversely affects the accurate prediction of the future, which makes it difficult to correctly adjust the specificity of the business to the needs of potential customers.Purpose of the article: Identification of the desired features of the leader of the 21st century and diagnosis of changes in the environment and the challenges facing the organization of the future, as well as analysis of the key success factors of Silicon Valley.Research methods: The article is based on a literature review on the subject. A critical analysis of the attributes that distinguish a contemporary leader, changes taking place in the organization and its environment, as well as the region that inspires entrepreneurs.Main findings: The need for entrepreneurs to dynamically adapt to the changing needs of customers, to rely on the idea of a learning organization and promote social responsibility, to treat employees as the most valuable resource, to strive for cooperation and building a network of relationships in a multicultural environment, as well as to introduce modern solutions corresponding to changes caused by fourth industrial revolution.
