Opis:: W referacie przedstawiono wyniki analiz cieplnych oraz warianty modernizacji systemu ogrzewania w istniejącym (jednorodzinnym, wolnostojącym, niepodpiwniczonym, z poddaszem użytkowym) budynku mieszkalnym, zbudowanym na przełomie lat 80. i 90. ubiegłego wieku, w celu przystosowania go do aktualnych wymagań w zakresie izolacyjności cieplnej oraz racjonalizacji zużycia ciepła. Analizowano istniejący budynek mieszkalny, jednorodzinny, wolnostojący, niepodpiwniczony, z poddaszem użytkowym, który jest zlokalizowany w powiecie legionowskim w woj. mazowieckim. Ściany zewnętrzne budynku, o powierzchni użytkowej 140,87 m2 i całkowitej 206,16 m2, są wykonane z bloczków gazobetonowych na zaprawie klejowej o całkowitej grubości 36,5 cm. Strop jest wykonany z prefabrykatów gęstożelbetowych Teriva – 1. Dach jest symetryczny, dwuspadowy, krokwiowo-jętkowy – pokryty blachodachówką. W celu wybrania optymalnego zakresu termomodernizacji istniejącego budynku wykonano obliczenia cieplne dla 3 różnych wariantów, a mianowicie: wariant 1 – ocieplenie ścian zewnętrznych uniwersalnym materiałem termoizolacyjnym swisspor LAMBDA fasada, produkowanym metodą spieczenia polistyrenu o =0,033[W/mK] i grubości płyt 10 cm; wariant 2 – wymiana stolarki okiennej na nową o podwyższonej jakości; wariant 3 – połączenie wariantów 1 i 2 oraz dodatkowo ocieplenie połaci dachowej i podłogi. Na podstawie obliczeń współczynnika przenikania ciepła i analizy finansowej wybrano wariant 3, co pozwoliło zmniejszyć wskaźnik sezonowego zapotrzebowania na energię pierwotną z EP=251,02 kWh/rokm2 do wartości 150,59 kWh/rokm2. Przebudowano instalację centralnego ogrzewania i ciepłej wody, analizowano 3 warianty: wariant 1 – instalacja c.o. z grzejnikami stalowymi panelowymi, podłączona do kotła gazowego; wariant 2 – instalacja c.o. z grzejnikami stalowymi panelowymi w pokojach i z ogrzewaniem podłogowym w łazienkach, podłączona do kotła gazowego; wariant 3 – instalacja c.o. z grzejnikami stalowymi panelowymi w pokojach i z ogrzewaniem podłogowym w łazienkach, podłączona do kotła gazowego ze wspomaganiem kolektorów słonecznych. Ostatecznie wybrano również wariant 3, co pozwoli na zmniejszenie zużycia gazu i efektywniejsze wykorzystanie energii słońca.
The paper presents the results of heat demand analysis and variants of modernization of the heating system in an existing (single-family, detached, without basement to the attic) apartment building built in the late 80's and 90's of the last century in order to adapt it to current requirements for thermal insulation and efficiency of the heating installation. Thermal and economic analysis are subjected to existing residential, single-family house, usable area of 140.87 m2 and a total area of 206.16 m2, located in Legionowo, this is the district in the province Mazowieckie. The outer walls of the building are made of concrete blocks on adhesive mortar with a total thickness of 36.5 cm. The ceiling is made of prefabricated blocks, called Teriva - 1. The roof is symmetrical, double-pitched, rafter collar beam - covered with tile. In order to select the optimal range of thermal modernization of the existing building, the calculations of power were given for 3 different variants, namely: Option 1: insulation of external walls universal insulating material swisspor LAMBDA facade, produced by sintering of polystyrene = 0.033 [W / mK] and thick plates of 10 cm, Option 2: replacement of windows with a new improved quality, U=1 [W/m2K], Option 3: a combination of options 1 and 2 and additional thermal insulation of roof, 20 cm of roof wool, = 0.035 [W / mK] and floor, styrodur foam, thick plates of 10 cm, = 0.035 [W / mK]. On the basis of the calculation of the heat transfer and financial analysis the option 3 was selected for the thermal modernization of the building. This option reduces the rate of seasonal demand for primary energy from EP = 251.02 kWh /yearm2 to the value of 150.59 kWh /yearm2. As a result of the thermal modernization of the building and a rebuild of central heating installation and hot water were given. The analysis consider three options for the heating installation: Option 1: Installing steel paneled radiators, connected to a gas boiler, option 2: Installing steel paneled radiators and underfloor heating in the bathrooms, connected to a gas boiler, Option 3: Installing steel paneled radiators and underfloor heating in the bathrooms,, connected to a gas boiler and to the power solar panels. Finally, the option 3 was selected, which will help to reduce gas consumption and more efficient use of solar energy.

Opis:: Duży wpływ na produkcyjność zwierząt i jakość uzyskiwanych od nich produktów mają warunki środowiskowe. Warunki cieplne wnętrza w zasadniczy sposób kształtują przegrody budowlane. W celu podniesienia efektów produkcyjnych obudowę tuczarni doświadczalnej zaizolowano od wewnątrz ekranem zagrzejnikowym o własnościach termorefleksyjnych. W porównaniu z częścią kontrolną uzyskano korzystniejsze kształtowanie się temperatury wynikowej, czyli odczuwalnej przez zwierzęta. Największe różnice między pomieszczeniami zmodernizowanym i kontrolnym, dochodzące nawet do 20°C, odnotowano w okresie jesienno – zimowym, a oznaczenia temperatur powietrza i promieniowania okazały się statystycznie istotnie zróżnicowane na poziomie p<0,05.
The environmental conditions have a significant influence upon the animal productivity and quality of products obtained from them. The thermal conditions of the facilities are to a large degree shaped by construction partitions. In order to improve the production efficiency, the casing of an experimental fattening house was isolated from the inside with a heater screen of thermoreflexive qualities. In comparison to the control part, more favorable shaping of the resultant temperature was obtained, i.e. the temperature sensed by the animals. The greatest differences between the modernized premises and the control one, reaching as much as 20°C, were registered in the autumn and winter season, and the air and radiated tempera-ture markings revealed statistically significant differentiation at the level of p<0.05.

Opis:: The article presents the results of monitoring the effects of thermal modernization in the selected school building during the period from 2011 to 2015. The analysis includes energy consumption required for heating, hot water, ventilation, and electricity in the chosen building. The obtained results showed significant energy reduction, fuel consumption and exploitation costs of this building.
W artykule przedstawiono rzeczywiste rezultaty działań termomodernizacyjnych w oparciu o monitoring ich efektów prowadzony w latach 2011-2015 w wybranym budynku edukacyjnym, reprezentatywnym dla ocenianej grupy budynków. Analiza obejmowała zużycie ciepła do ogrzewania budynku, zużycie prądu oraz emisję szkodliwych substancji do atmosfery, powstałych ze spalania paliwa. Oceniono wpływ działań mających na celu oszczędność energii na stan środowiska zewnętrznego, efekt cieplarniany oraz emisję pyłów. Monitoring efektów przeprowadzonych działań termomodernizacyjnych wykazał znaczące zmniejszenie zużycia energii, a co za tym idzie również zużycie paliwa i emisji oraz kosztów eksploatacji budynku.

Opis:: Indoor air quality (IAQ) in schools is an important public health concern. Particular attention should be paid to children, because they are more vulnerable to air pollution than adults. Although carbon dioxide is not considered a toxic air pollutant, its concentrations inside buildings may have a negative impact on users. The most commonly described health problems include tiredness and its effects (headaches, bad mood, poor attentiveness). Carbon dioxide concentrations are often used as a surrogate for the rate of outside supply air per occupant. Permissible concentration of carbon dioxide in confined spaces is 1,000 ppm. This minimum sanitary requirement is recommended by the European Office of the WHO and ASHRAE. The Polish Committee for Standardization has established general guidelines concerning the quality of air inside non-residential buildings. This standard was drawn up based on EU directives, through classification of IAQ, as it is influenced by the CO₂ concentrations above the outdoor level (ΔCO₂). Based on the above regulations, the increase in indoor CO₂ concentrations in relation to CO₂ concentrations in outdoor air (CO₂) were measured along with physical parameters (temperature and relative humidity) to evaluate IAQ in the classrooms of two primary schools built in the nineteenth century in Poland. More than 100-year-old buildings built of bricks before World War II are a frequent occurrence in rural schools in the area of Upper Silesia, Poland. One of the school buildings underwent thermal effectiveness improvement while the other has not been modernized in these terms yet. The aim of the research was to check the extent to which thermal modernization of an old public building influences indoor air quality in the context of concentrations of carbon dioxide. The measurement period was chosen for late spring in order to avoid the impact of municipal emissions (so-called low emissions) common in rural areas. The average concentration of carbon dioxide in school rooms after thermal modernization (WTM) were higher than the concentrations observed in the school not subjected to thermal modernization (NTM). The CO₂ concentrations ranged from 1,287±333 ppm to 2,146±386 ppm and from 936±196 ppm to 1,878±567 ppm in WTM and NTM school buildings, respectively. The results clearly indicate a higher occurrence of poor air quality (up to 70% of time during the school days) in the thermally improved school building compared to the one without thermal improvement (up to 52% of the time). The measurements also showed that the exposure of school children to elevated carbon dioxide concentrations during classes was higher in thermally improved primary school buildings, which in turn may represent a health concern.
Pomimo iż ditlenek węgla nie jest uważany za trujące zanieczyszczenie powietrza, poziomy jego stężeń wewnątrz budynków mogą skutkować negatywnym wpływem na użytkowników danych pomieszczeń. Wśród najczęściej opisywanych problemów zdrowotnych wymienia się uczucie zmęczenia i jego konsekwencje (bóle głowy, złe samopoczucie, kłopoty z koncentracją). W celu oceny potencjalnych skutków zdrowotnych dokonano pomiarów stężeń ditlenku węgla wraz z parametrami fizycznymi (temperaturą i wilgotnością względną) w pomieszczeniach dwóch szkół podstawowych zbudowanych w XIX wieku. Budynek jednej z nich został poddany termomodernizacji, w drugim jej nie przeprowadzono. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na częstsze występowanie niskiej jakości powietrza w szkole poddanej termomodernizacji (do 70% czasu w ciągu dnia nauki) w porównaniu do szkoły bez termomodernizacji (do 52% czasu). Przeprowadzone badania wskazują, iż uczniowie budynku szkoły podstawowej poddanego termomodernizacji są częściej narażeni na podwyższone stężenia ditlenku węgla w czasie lekcji aniżeli uczniowie budynku szkoły niepoddanego termomodernizacji, co w konsekwencji może dla nich stanowić zagrożenie zdrowotne.

Conclusions relate to desirable changes in the organisation and support of the energy transition of the housing stock in Poland.

Opis:: The search for opportunities to save and use energy efficiently should primarily focus on sectors of the economy with the highest energy consumption. One such sector is construction. Buildings built in Poland in different periods according to the introduced and successively tightened thermal protection requirements have different energy characteristics, which differ from contemporary standards and future expectations in this respect. This article presents guidelines for the energy transformation of building resources towards climate neutrality and the condition of these resources in Poland to an extent relevant for estimating the energy savings potential as a result of their thermal modernization. The economic aspect relating to the implementation of the energy policy is also presented. Over the last twenty years, there has been a nearly 37% increase in final energy consumption and a close to 34% decrease in final energy intensity of gross domestic product (GDP) recorded in Poland, which proves that energy efficiency is growing virtually without increasing energy demand. Significant potential for rationalizing energy consumption is found, as well as the need to incur high costs relating to the construction sector transformation. The problem is the lack of databases on the technical condition, age, and energy performance of various groups of buildings, which means it is difficult to determine the thermal modernization needs and the achievable effects of energy savings for the entire building stock. Some inconveniences relating to the implementation of zero-emission guidelines are also pointed out due to the fact that the Polish energy system is largely based on fossil fuels.

The article presents the real results of the thermal modernization activity based on the monitoring of their effects conducted in selected educational building from 2011 to 2015, which was a representative of the evaluated group of buildings. The analysis was carried out to evaluate the influence of energy saving activities on the state of the external environment especially of reduction of greenhouse gases emissions. The monitoring of the results from conducted thermal modernization showed significant energy reduction effect and therefore also pollutant emissions to atmosphere.
