Opis:: Some new cyanopyridine derivatives have been synthesized and characterization of the synthesized compounds was done by IR, NMR and mass spectral data. The thermal properties of these compounds were studied by thermogravimetry. The thermal stability, melting temperature and some kinetic parameters such as energy of activation, frequency factor, order of reaction and entropy of activation were evaluated from thermograms. The degradation is single step process for some compounds whereas for others, it is multi step process.

Opis:: W artykule zaprezentowano algorytm umożliwiający w pełni automatyczną detekcję charakterystycznych obszarów na termogramach zawierających twarze pacjentów w projekcji przedniej. Algorytm prawidłowo wykrywa wymagane obszary niezależnie od położenia głowy w obrazie oraz od jej obrotu. Po prawidłowej detekcji jest przeprowadzany automatyczny pomiar wartości średniej, minimalnej i maksymalnej ich temperatury. W końcowej części artykułu zaprezentowano przykładowe zastosowanie metody do wstępnej detekcji typu i przebiegu bólu głowy.
The algorithm enabling fully automatic detection of characteristic areas of the face on thermograms captured in the anterior projection is presented in the paper. Development and application of medical thermography is also discussed. There are given different types of headaches and methods for their analysis. Regions of: forehead (defined as CL,CP), eye-sockets (defined as OL,OP) and maxillary sinuses (defined as NL,NP) are assumed to be the areas medically essential for headache diagnosis. Thermograms were obtained from thermovision cameras AGEMA 590 and ThermaCam S65. The algorithm detects correctly the required head areas independently of the head position in the picture and its rotation within the range -50 to +50 degrees. Methods of mathematical morphology, active contour, template and Hough transform were used for the analysis. After the correct detection there was taken the automatic measurement of the area of the regions as well as their mean, minimum and maximal temperature. At the end of the paper there is presented an exemplary application of the algorithm for preliminary diagnosis of the type and the course of a headache. The results of segmentation of the face areas are given. The algorithm also makes it possible to analyse the given set of thermograms without necessity of modifying the operation parameters. The set of analysed images after adding translation and rotation includes above 4000 thermograms. The algorithm was developed and tested in Matlab environment.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono algorytm analizy twarzy na termogramach z możliwością wsparcia obrazami w świetle widzialnym. Zaproponowane rozwiązanie bazuje na analizie termogramu a obraz widzialny służy do weryfikacji uzyskanych wyników i do wyznaczania elementów twarzy bardzo trudnych do lokalizacji w termowizji. Dzięki połączeniu obu technik osiągnięto wysoką skuteczność bez względu na orientację, położenie głowy w obrazie czy wpływ tła. Precyzyjne wyniki lokalizacji na termogramie umożliwiły zastosowanie prostych technik lokalizacji oczu i linii ust, w świetle widzialnym. Wyznaczone cechy twarzy były następnie zaznaczane na termogramie.
In this paper there is introduced an algorithm of face analysis on thermograms with possibility of support by images in the visible spectrum. The proposed solution is based on thermograms and a visible image is used to verify the obtained results and to detect the faces elements very difficult to be localized in thermovision. The first part of this process is an analysis of thermograms. Its main purpose is localization and computing orientation of a head. Next, the algorithm uses special template to precise localize the lines of eyebrows and the face symmetry. According to these results, in the next steps the regions of eyes, nose and forehead are detected. The second part is an analysis in the visible spectrum. Here the algorithm localizes the eyes and line of the mouth. Thanks to the results of thermogram segmentation, the position and orientation of the head are normalized and only selected areas are analyzed. These face features are next marked on the thermogram. Thanks to connection of both techniques, the high efficiency was achieved in spite of orientation and localization of the head in the image and influence of the background. The precise results of localization on the termogram allowed using a simple technique of the eyes and line of the mouth localization in the visible spectrum.

Opis:: Purpose: The problem of the numerical modeling of thermal processes proceeding in the non-homogeneous domain of the human finger is discussed. The domain considered constitutes the assembling of soft and bone tissues and the system of supplying blood vessels (arteries and veins). The mathematical description of the process analyzed corresponds to the so-called vascular models. Methods: At the stage of numerical modeling the algorithm being the composition of the boundary element method (BEM) and the finite difference method (FDM) is applied. Results: The algorithm presented allows one to determine the steady state temperature field in the finger domain in natural convection conditions. To verify the effectiveness and exactness of the method of the problem solution, the thermal imaging measurements of the finger surface temperature have been done. Conclusions: The compatibility of numerical and experimental results (the natural convection conditions) has proved to be quite satisfactory. It is possible to use the algorithm proposed for the modeling of thermal processes proceeding in the conditions of low or high ambient temperatures and the big values of heat transfer coefficients. The impact of protective clothing on the temperature field in the domain of the finger can also be analyzed.

Opis:: Diagnostykę termiczną obiektów budowlanych, głównie budynków mieszkalnych, przeprowadza się obecnie za pomocą standardowej metody badań termowizyjnych, które umożliwiają zbadanie stanu izolacji cieplnej przegród budowlanych, zlokalizowanie mostków cieplnych, wady różnego typu instalacji, zlokalizowanie miejsc zawilgocenia przegród i nadmiernej infiltracji powietrza. Wyniki tych badań wymagają jednak od operatora kamery termowizyjnej rzetelnej wiedzy z zakresu interpretacji termogramów. Jednym z elementów wpływających na wyniki pomiarów termowizyjnych jest cieplne promieniowanie środowiska zewnętrznego. W artykule przedstawiono ogólny opis radiacyjnego oddziaływania środowiska zewnętrznego na budynki, istotę radiacyjnego chłodzenia zewnętrznych powierzchni przegród budowlanych oraz wpływ tego promieniowania na wyniki termowizyjnych badań budynków i na interpretację termogramów.
Thermal diagnostics of building objects, mainly of residential buildings is currently realized with the standard method of thermographic examinations which enables the search the state of the thermal insulation of building envelope, the location of thermal bridges, defects in installations of different types, places of the moisture of barriers and the excessive infiltration of air. However, the operator of the IR-camera must have the solid knowledge in the range of thermograms interpretation. Thermal radiation of the outside environment is one of many factors affecting the results of thermal imaging measurements. The article presents a general description of the thermal radiation influence of the outside environment on buildings, the importance of radiative cooling of building envelope and the influence of this radiation on thermal imaging inspections of buildings and on interpretation of thermograms.

Opis:: The paper presents an algorithm enabling a fully automatic detection of characteristic areas on thermograms containing patients' faces in a front projection. A resolution of problems occurring at the segmentation of face images, such as a change of position, orientation and scale, has been proposed. In addition, attempts to eliminate the effect of the background and of disturbances caused by the haircut and the hairline were made. The algorithm may be used to detect selected points and areas of a face or as a preliminary component in the face recognition, as a development of optical analysis methods or in the quantitative analysis of face on thermograms.
