Opis:: The subject matter of this article is the optimization of delivery problems (Vehicle Routing Problems – VRP) with regard to distribution systems. These issues belong to the class of NP-hard problems. Current solutions to various delivery problems (VRP, TSP, MTSP, VRPTW, RDPTW) were analysed. Two examples were presented. In a transport and production task, a marginal cost equalling (MCE) algorithm was used. In the case of a Multi Depot Vehicle Routing Problem (MDVRP), an evolutionary algorithm was used.

Products must be frequently provided in stores. Customers have great expectations in terms of the delivery and availability. Most important are short-term orders realisation and flexible services. The main aim of the paper is to consider two different distribution systems. The reason for this consideration is to identify which of the distribution systems is more effective.

What is the most common way of everyday travel among citizens of Gdańsk? What distance do they take in their daily commute to work, school? What part of their daily commute by car could they replace by walking or biking? Can Gdansk be referred to as "city of short distances"? Is it possible in Gdansk - as in Copenhagen – that share of biking accounted for 30% of all movements? The Gdansk Traffic Research of 2016 provided data that can help to find answers to the above questions.

Opis:: Companies compete not only on price of offered products and services, but also on the quality, including the time of delivery of the product or service implementation. Contemporary logistics solutions, ensuring high utilization mileage of means of transport, cause, that in transport complex transport cycles are increasingly common. In these cycles as opposed to a simple transport, cycles are realized many transport tasks. The paper presents the classification of the costs of implementing of transport processes in road transport. Taking into account the different cost sharing criteria was proposed their general classification. Were identified means of transport parameters that have the most significant impact on the level of costs in transport. Then, assuming that in one transport cycle can be realized many transport tasks were presented analytical dependences on the implementation costs of transport cycles, as well as the implementation costs of individual transport tasks. Presented in the article approach can be used to calculate costs of implementing full truck transport tasks performed both in complex and simple (special case) cycles. Types of costs in road transport, general classification of costs in the road transport, vehicle parameters affecting the level of direct costs of transport, principles for determining the cost of road transport carriage are presented in the paper.

Opis:: The article presents an adverse impact of the transport in agglomerations on the environment and climate conditions. The sources and acceptable levels of environmental pollution and climate degradation are presented as well as contribution of the cars to this process, together with the actions undertaken with a view to reduce the emission. The trends in modernizing of the public transport systems are pointed out, inclusive of justification of the ecological tram-train system implementation. The next part of the paper includes comparison of the features of the tram and passenger rail vehicles used for public transport in agglomerations. A brief outline of the actions initiated to implement the tram-train system in Poland is depicted. The final part of the article highlights the technical issues related to the difference between the tram and rail vehicle construction and equipment and discusses the scope of organizational and legal tasks necessary to undertake the practical measures. The Polish contractors potentially able to perform these tasks are indicated. In the last part a brief assessment of railway network suitability for implementation of the tram-train system was carried out on the example of the Poznań agglomeration. An extensive bibliography makes an essential part of the paper. The present article is a continuation of the earlier papers developed with participation of the author. Some of these problems have been only identified in the former papers and, therefore, they are discussed here more clearly, due to their importance to the topic of the tram-train system. The second part of the article will be published in the next issue of the quarterly Rail Vehicles.
W artykule przedstawiono negatywne oddziaływanie transportu w aglomeracjach na stan środowiska i klimat. Opisano źródła i dopuszczalne poziomy zanieczyszczeń środowiska i degradacji klimatu oraz udział samochodów w tym procesie oraz podejmowane działania dla ograniczenia emisji. Przedstawiono tendencje unowocześniania systemów komunikacji zbiorowej oraz uzasadnienie wdrażania ekologicznego systemu tram-train. W dalszej części artykułu porównano cechy tramwaju i pasażerskich pojazdów kolejowych jako środków transportu zbiorowego w aglomeracjach. W krótkim zarysie opisano działania, jakie zostały podjęte dla wdrożenia systemu tram-train w Polsce. W końcowej części artykułu odniesiono się do zagadnień technicznych związanych z różnicami w zakresie budowy i wyposażenia tramwajów i pojazdów kolejowych, a także omówiono zakres prac organizacyjno-prawnych, których podjęcie jest niezbędne dla rozpoczęcia działań praktycznych. Wskazano potencjalnych realizatorów tych działań na poziomie krajowym. W ostatniej części przeprowadzono, na przykładzie aglomeracji poznańskiej, krótka analizę przydatności sieci kolejowej do wprowadzenia systemu tram-train. Istotną częścią artykułu jest obszerna lista bibliografii. Niniejszy artykuł jest kontynuacją wcześniejszych artykułów, których autor był współautorem. W poprzednich artykułach niektóre zagadnienia były tylko zasygnalizowane, dlatego jednak w związku z ich istotnym znaczeniem dla tematu systemu tram-train zostały omówione szerzej. Druga część artykułu zostanie opublikowana w kolejnym numerze kwartalnika Pojazdy Szynowe.

The selection of vehicles for tasks in transport and logistics companies is an important factor affecting the effective functioning of these enterprises on the market. The article describes decision problems of the selection of vehicles for tasks in transport and logistics companies taking into account the designation of vehicle routes, while minimizing their number and taking into account their type. The aim of the work is to present and analyze the problem of selecting vehicles for tasks on the example of transport and logistics companies. Transport and logistics companies in transport systems were presented and transport organization models were described. Then, the main sources of transport needs and factors shaping the demand for transport were presented.
