Opis:: The aim of this article is to present the possibility of the organisation of situations conducive to cooperation between pupils of early school age. In various parts of the article the following will be discussed: teacher-tutoring, and peer-tutoring in the Polish education system. The project Academic Centre of Creativity will be presented. This project was carried out by the research team at the Department of Didactics and Studies in the Culture of Education, Kazimierz Wielki University. The main objective of the project was to develop (testing and popularisation) of an innovative work model for teachers/students with the student based on Lev Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory. The research was carried out among the students of the first stage of education in grades I–III five “school exercise” located in Kujawsko-Pomorskie. The main part of the project ACK was a teaching experiment, during which observations were made, the activity of individual students and their participation in activities (group) was analysed in four areas: language, mathematics, science, and art. Owing to the multi-stage project, in the article emphasis was put on the practical aspect of the experiment, which was the organisation of the classroom culture as a social learning environment. During this process two forms of peer interaction were initiated: learning in collaboration and peer-tutoring. We analysed: the preparation phase conditions stimulating cooperation, the stages of development of collaborative learning and peer-tutoring, the benefits of collaboration and peer-tutoring (same-age peer-tutoring, cross-age peer-tutoring) among students of early childhood education.

The article presents the role of a teacher-tutor and its importance in the process of students’ personal development nowadays. Apart from introduction and summary, the publication specifies three main parts describing the addressed problem. The first part of the article presents the perception of the teacher profession and its role in the education process. The next part discusses the idea of tutoring starting from its original form to the present method which occurs. A particular attention has been paid to the importance of the tutorial session in the acting stimulation process of a young man from the perspective of the use of its resources over the life. The third part attempts to show the teacher as a tutor. A remark has been directed to the importance of teacher’s role in the tutoring process and the essence of key competencies the teacher-tutor should have in order to effectively support personal development of each student.

Opis:: Autorka prezentuje znaczenia tutoringu dla uczenia się dorosłych. Materiał badawczy stanowiły semistrukturyzowane wywiady, przeprowadzone z uczestnikami tutoringu. Badanie ujawniło, że tutoring – coraz bardziej powszechna i zarazem coraz mniej tajemnicza – forma współpracy nauczyciela i ucznia to okazja do rozwoju, nawiązania silnej, wspierającej i inspirującej więzi, podtrzymywania aktywności, osiągania celów i przeżywania sukcesów. Analiza wyników badań odnoszących się wyłącznie do badanych przypadków, przeprowadzona została na podstawie fenomenograficznej koncepcji Ferenca Martona. Przedstawiony fragment niniejszego badania z powodzeniem może stanowić podstawę do dalszych dociekań.
The author presents the meaning of tutoring for learning adults. Semistructured interviews with persons taking part in tutoring constitute the author’s research material. The research revealed that tutoring – more and more common and less secret form of cooperation between a student and a teacher, is a chance of development and creating a strong, comforting and inspiring bound. The one which is supporting activity, serving a student well in achieving goals and experiencing successes. Analysis of the results regarding only examined cases was based on Ferenc Marton’s phenomenographic conception. The introduced piece of study can successfully make up the basis for further research.

Opis:: Student migrations are becoming more and more important part of international translocation of young people, which is exemplifi ed by the statistics of students’ dynamic mobility. Traveling abroad to acquire higher education in a foreign country is both an opportunity to progress and a cause of problems. Foreign students are usually at the periphery of society when they arrive at another country, where the culture and language are diff erent than in their homeland. Immigrants also feel the weakening of family and friend bonds. Th ey have to fi nd their way through the new environment, which may be extremely hard, provided they do not have any migration supportive social network. Th is is why, actions to support student migration societies are crucial. One of the actions may be introducing academic tutoring to tertiary-level schools. Tutoring is a method of individualized education, based on an individual and supportive relationship between a student and a tutor. Th e basic assumptions of tutoring are: taking care of an integral development of a protege, concentrating on personal problems and needs of a student, eliciting his hidden potential, bonding with him, and taking into account his values and personal aims during work. Basing on these principles, tutoring may help educational migrants to adapt to a new living and academic environment.
Migracje edukacyjne stają się coraz istotniejszą częścią międzynarodowych przemieszczeń młodych ludzi, czego egzemplifi kację stanowią statystyki, pokazujące dynamiczny wzrost mobilności studentów. Wyjazd zagraniczny w celu zdobycia wykształcenia wyższego poza swoją ojczyzną, mimo że niesie ze sobą szansę rozwoju, to wiąże się także z wieloma trudnościami. Studenci cudzoziemcy, w momencie przybycia do nowego państwa, znajdują się zazwyczaj na peryferiach jego społeczeństwa, ponieważ reprezentują inną kulturę, nierzadko mają też problem z władaniem językiem kraju, do którego wyemigrowali. Imigranci odczuwają również osłabienie dotychczasowych więzi z rodziną, znajomymi. W obcym im środowisku, w tym edukacyjnym, muszą się odnaleźć, co w braku migracyjnych sieci wsparcia może okazać się niezwykle trudnym przedsięwzięciem. Dlatego też bardzo ważne są działania wspierające studenckie środowiska migracyjne. Jednym z nich może być wprowadzenie do szkół wyższych tutoringu akademickiego, czyli „metody edukacji zindywidualizowanej, opierającej się na indywidualnej, wspierającej relacji z drugą osobą – tutorem” (Czekierda, 2014). Jego podstawowe założenia, takie jak: troska o integralny rozwój podopiecznego, koncentracja na indywidualnych problemach i potrzebach studenta, wydobywanie ukrytego potencjału podopiecznego, nawiązywanie partnerskiej relacji ze studentem czy uwzględnianie w pracy z nim jego wartości i osobistych celów, mogą pomóc migrantom edukacyjnym w procesie adaptacji do nowego środowiska życia i studiowania.

Opis:: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of peer tutoring on college students’ academic achievement and, as well, their competencies in communication and collaboration. In particular, we investigated whether or not the effect of peer tutoring depends on the role taken in peer tutoring. 373 Korean college students attending peer tutoring participated in this study. A pre-post design employing a self-report questionnaire was used. The results indicated that peer tutoring improved both academic achievement and communicative and collaborative skills. The findings also suggested that the effect of peer-tutoring on academic achievement and responsibility for teamwork was valid only with regard to those in the role of tutees. The implications of this study are discussed.

Opis:: In the first half of 19th century in Russia, being a child of parents from upper class, was not enough to earn the name of true nobleman. It was only a beginning of the arduous process. From the cradle the offspring was taught that the aristocrat should excel in courage, Western manners and languages, general education, artistic talents and athletics. A true Russian nobleman could not differ in any way from his Western European counterpart. In this paper we analyze the childhood reminiscences of Alexander Pushkin as well as his works understood as an example of the influence of the Western model of upbringing on the personality and development of a Russian noble’s child.
