Opis:
The article deals with innovative educational technologies in higher educational institutions, in particular, the use of virtual laboratories in teaching of natural and mathematical disciplines. Informatization of education, which is observed in the twenty-first century, is an integral part of informatization of society, it necessitates introduction of modern educational technologies into educational process. Thanks to these technologies, it has now been possible to provide distance learning not only to students of one university, but also to territorially separated educational institutions. In addition, innovative educational technologies allow establishing intercultural communication between scientific and pedagogical workers from different countries and nationalities, which seems a perspective field and requires further research. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the expediency of using innovative educational technologies in teaching natural and mathematical disciplines by introducing virtual laboratories into educational process. Methods. The terminological method used in the article's writing involves clarifying definitions such as "innovation", "innovation technologies", "virtual laboratories", which allows comparing and deeper understanding of the interpretation of these concepts. The empirical method (experiment) has been used during the testing of virtual laboratories among university students, to confirm the effectiveness of their implementation in distance learning. Through the method of statistical processing one can analyze and compare the number of participants in distance learning and the quality of learning the material. Results. Global informatization of society requires introduction of educational technologies based on new methodological principles, modern didactic principles in the educational process as well as reconsideration of established psychological and pedagogical values. The use of virtual laboratories as virtual learning environment, along with traditional laboratories, will significantly improve the quality of learning, get the student audience interested in computer simulation of various physical processes and provide opportunity for independent study of the material through virtual experiments. Using the Internet and special software virtual laboratories will allow students to perform distance laboratory work, analyze the obtained results independently, compile reports, and then compare them with the data of real experiments. The introduction of virtual laboratories in the educational process is intended to facilitate the intensification of students' research activities, to interest them in computer simulation of physical processes, which will inevitably contribute to more effective study of the disciplines.

This work presents the implementation of a method, originally proposed by Hillebrand et al., of quantitative analysis of the grain morphology in self-assembled hexagonal lattices. This method can be effectively used for investigation o f structural features as well as regu- lar hexagonal arrangement of nanoporous alumina layers formed on the metal surface during the self-organized anodization process. The method has been implemented as a virtual experiment in the GridSpace2 Virtual Laboratory which is a scientific computing platform developed in the scope of the PL-Grid project. The experiment is a GridSpace2 pilot and therefore made available to the wider community of PL-Grid users. It is both editable and executable through a web portal offered by the GridSpace2 Experiment Workbench, dedicated to PL-Grid users. Moreover, since all GridSpace2 experiments are embeddable on arbitrary web sites owing to the Collage feature, the final version of the experiment has been published as an executable publication with execution rights granted to all PL-Grid users.

Opis:
Laboratory-based courses play a critical role in scientific education, yet there is disagreement among science and engineering educators about whether and which types of technology mediated lab work should be involved to promote learners’ better conceptual understanding, design skills or professional skills. In this study we tried to evaluate the efficiency of different types of e-labs, using Ma, Nickerson four dimensional models of educational goals. We found different patterns and enlarged the model to 5 dimensions. We attempted to clearly specify the differences, advantages and disadvantages of all 3 kinds of e-labs according to educational goals to be reached. We also tried to investigate which aspects of the laboratory experience are most essential to learners and if those lab characteristics are related to learner characteristics or prior experience. In the second part of the study we focused on investigating (not verifying) the hypothesis that it is not the actual nature of the laboratories, but the beliefs that students and teachers have about them, which may determine the effectiveness of different lab types.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwości zastosowań e-learningu w kształceniu inżynierów. Scharakteryzowano formy, modele i systemy kształcenia z zastosowaniem technologii teleinformatycznych. Przedstawiono przykłady wykorzystania wirtualnych laboratoriów i symulacji komputerowych w nauczaniu przedmiotów technicznych.
The article presents the possibility of using e-learning in the education of engineers. Forms, models and systems of education with the use of ICT have been characterized. The examples of the use of virtual laboratories and computer simulations in teaching technical subjects have been described.

Opis:
The aim of this article is to familiarise the reader with the issue of virtual laboratories and to demonstrate their possible use on a concrete example. This example deals with the use of virtual laboratories in the teaching of mechanical engineering in high schools and universities. The Covid-19 pandemic has led to significant changes in the teaching process and its organisation. In this period, teaching usually took place online, which was implemented using resources such as Google Classroom or MS Teams. This article presents a sample task a project on which students of the second and third year of study at a secondary technical school are working. The project has an interdisciplinary character, because during its implementation students apply and further develop skills and knowledge from several subjects, namely physics, mechanics, chemistry and CAD design. The project is dedicated to the design of a pulley casting for a steel rope.

Opis:
The work presents the Dero simulator with a behavioral model description language. Behavioral description enables modeling and simulation of physical phenomena. Thanks to these features, the Dero can be used in the didactic process as a modeling and simulation tool. The interface through websites has been integrated with the Quela learning process management platform. The system allows the creation of virtual laboratories.
W pracy przedstawiono symulator Dero z behawioralnym językiem opisu modelu. Opis behawioralny umożliwia modelowanie i symulację zjawisk fizycznych. Dzięki tym funkcjom symulator Dero może być wykorzystywany w procesie dydaktycznym jako narzędzie do modelowania i symulacji. Interfejs graficzny za pośrednictwem stron internetowych został zintegrowany z platformą zarządzania procesem nauczania Quela. System umożliwia tworzenie wirtualnych laboratoriów.
