Opis:
The paper presents an approach to risk analysis of exemplar test case information systems. Authors point out the common practice to implement virtualization and put away security considerations for future[5]. The overview of virtualization techniques, focusing on server virtualization is given. Next, authors present risk analysis of exemplar GIS system. First of all identification of threats is taken out focusing on virtualization aspects, but it also includes common threats for both that could have a significant impact on safety when using a virtualization. The risk assessment for the test case system was performed using qualitative method. Assessment of the likelihood and magnitude of impact of identified risks was performed on the basis of the expert’s knowledge and experience. The obtained results were used to develop risk rankings, which indicate the risks that need special attention when designing and managing a virtual system.

Opis:
Some technical differences between virtualization platforms will be shown. Us-ing the MySQL database we present the efficiency tests. Different hardware platforms were used: PC Intel and different mainframe computers (z/9'series). Usefulness of virtualization techniques was also shown. An example of imple-mentation of MySQL database was used to show the selected areas of usage of virtualization environment. In this document we also show selected architectural and performance comparisons of virtual machines set up on PC (x86/x64) and Mainframe (z/9) platforms.

Previously used mainly in military and industrial applications on the mainframe systems, virtualization comes into common use today. The increase in computing power of personal computers allows to virtualize even multiple operating systems at once. The article describes the principle of the virtualization, the hypervisor and virtual machine role. Three areas of virtualization were presented: IT education, mobile systems and security systems.

Mechanizmy ochrony integralności plików umożliwiają wykrywanie nieautoryzowanych zamian w kluczowych do działania systemu operacyjnego plików. Dotychczas rozwiązania tego typu działały jako aplikacje systemowe lub były integrowane z jądrem systemu operacyjnego. Wraz ze zwiększeniem dostępności technik wirtualizacji pojawiła się możliwość przeniesienia systemu ochrony na poziom monitora maszyny wirtualnej, co zapewnia izolację mechanizmu ochrony od chronionego systemu operacyjnego. W artykule opisano projekt systemu ochrony integralności działającego na poziomie monitora maszyny wirtualnej. Przedstawiono wady i zalety takiego rozwiązania. Omówiono również problemy konieczne do rozwiązania przed implementacją mechanizmu ochrony integralności plików na poziomie monitora maszyny wirtualnej.
Files integrity protection mechanisms allow detection of unauthorized modifications to the critical files of the operating system. So far, these types of systems acted as system utilities, or have been integrated with the operating system kernel. Dissemination of virtualization technology allowed security system integration on the virtual machine monitor level, which provides isolation between protection mechanism and protected operating system. This paper describes the design of a file integrity protection system integrated with the virtual machine monitor. It presents the pros and cons of such a solution. It also discusses the problems that need to be resolved before implementation of a protection mechanism on the hypervisor level.

The article presents issues related to virtualization of IT resources and their use in the processes of teaching, especially in relation to e-learning. Limited hardware resources have a significant impact on the availability and an effectiveness of this teaching form. The development and implementation of the appropriate virtualization model can allow for a better promotion of knowledge in many areas.

In organizational theories inspired by process ontologies of Spinoza, Bergson, or Deleuze, an organization only seems to be the effect of ontological forces and therefore exist only retroacti vely and derivatively. Simply put, process ontologies tend to overemphasize the virtual, active ontological forces of becoming in organizations. These assumptions cause the negative and reactive understanding of organizational processes: organizations oppress, restrict, adjust, and regulate becoming. In this perspective, organizations are defective, inadequate, and politically reactionary. They are the negative antitype of the positive, productive, and creative ontological forces. In this article, I situate the problem of organizations and becoming using the concept of “virtualization.” For Deleuze, actualization is the expression of the virtual, resulting in the actual state of affairs, but once the state of affairs is actualized, there is a modulation or reciprocal folding, which affects the virtual; I suggest calling this “virtualization.” Thus, each actualiza tion in the social dimension – each founding of an organization – modulates the ontological conditions of future organizational events. This means that Deleuze provides not only a theory of organizational becoming but also a theory of virtualization – or the modulation of becoming – of organizations. The concept of virtualization is illustrated by drawing on organizational case studies, which have implications for the understanding of virtualization. Virtualization is a process of patterning, a (de)potentialization, but also a de- and reterritorialization. Primarily understood as virtualization, organization is a meta-stable process.

Przedmiotem tej pracy jest analiza porównawcza trzech narzędzi do orkiestracji kontenerów aplikacyjnych: Kubernetes 1.2.2, Docker Swarm 1.24 oraz Nomad Hashicorp 1.2.0. Zaimplementowano w tym celu aplikację, odpowiadającąna żądania, następnie skonteryzowano ją używając technologii Docker. Dla każdego z narzędzi powtórzono trzykrotnie scenariusz, który na celu miał zmierzenie czasu startupodów. Równocześnie z badaniem czasu startu przeprowadzono badanie dotyczące obciążenia podzespołów. W porównaniach uwzględniono też czas regeneracji repliki. Ostatnim doświadczeniem było zbadanie mechanizmów równoważenia obciążenia. Z przeprowadzonych analiz wynika, że Docker Swarm pod względem dużej części kryteriów rozpatrywanych w tej pracy okazał się najlepszym narzędziem orkiestracyjnym.
The aim of the work is comparative analysis of three tools for application container’s orchestration: Kubernetes 1.2.2, Docker Swarm 1.24 and Nomad Hashicorp 1.2.0. For this purpose, test application was implemented, respondingrequests, then it was contenerized using Docker. For each tool, the scenario aimed at measuring pods startup time. The research was repeated three times. During each repetition number of replics were increased. Simultaneously with startup time test, CPU load and memory strain were measured. In comparison also time of regeneration was taken into consideration, what was realized by gauging time of response for GET request. The analysis showed that Docker Swarm in terms of most of the criteria examined in this work turned out as the best orchestration tool.

Opis:
The Czech National Grid Infrastructure went through a complex transition in the last year. The production environment has been switched from a commercial batch system PBSPro, which was replaced by an open source alternative Torque batch system. This paper concentrates on two aspects of this transition. First, we will present our practical experience with Torque being used as a production ready batch system. Our modified version of Torque, with all the necessary PBSPro exclusive features re-implemented and further extended with new features like cloud-like behaviour, was deployed across the entire production environment, covering the entire Czech Republic for almost a full year. In the second part, we will present our work on meta-scheduling. This involves our work on distributed architecture and cloud-grid convergence. The distributed architecture was designed to overcome the limitations of a central server setup, which was originally used and presented stability and performance issues. While this paper does not discuss the inclusion of cloud interfaces into grids, it does present the dynamic infrastructure, which is a requirement for sharing the grid infrastructure between a batch system and a cloud gateway. We are also inviting everyone to try out our fork of the Torque batch system, which is now publicly available.

Current networks are designed for peak loads leading to low utilization of power resources. In order to solve this problem, a heuristic energy-saving virtual network embedding algorithm based on the Katz centrality (Katz-VNE) is proposed. For solving an energy-saving virtual network embedding problem, we introduce the Katz centrality to represent the node influence. In order to minimize the energy consumption of the substrate network, the energy-saving virtual network embedding problem is formulated as an integer linear program, and the Katz-VNE is used to solve this problem. The Katz-VNE tries to embed the virtual nodes onto the substrate nodes with high Katz centrality, which is effective, and uses the shortest paths offering the best factor of bandwidths to avoid the hot nodes. The simulation results demonstrate that the long-term average energy consumption of the substrate network is reduced significantly, and the long-term revenue/cost ratio, the acceptance rate of virtual network requests, and the hibernation rate of substrate nodes as well as links are improved significantly.

Covid-19 pandemic; recession, virtual revolution leading to de-globalization?

Objective: The article is an attempt to make a diagnosis about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on global trends, including organizational processes in enterprises, and challenges for organization leaders in many areas. Issues such as recession phase in which the economy will find itself, de-globalization and the increase in virtualization of both the economy and entire societies are discussed in the article. Methodology: The research method is a review of the literature, not very extensive, on the subject. There is a lack of research on social and cultural consequences of Covid-19 pandemics, and at the same time we are experiencing a flood of media information. The author is aware that impact assessment is subject to uncertainty and that it must be multidimensional. Findings: The review of the literature, as well as reports from financial institutions, show that the economies of individual countries are entering a phase of stagnation and recession. This will probably lead to a global recession. The text indicates the sectors and types of enterprises that will be most affected by the changes. The article proves that governments' attitude to health care functions may change, as well as the role of states and international financial institutions. Virtualization of communication seems to be an important change. It is difficult to answer the question whether a pandemic will affect globalization or de-globalization, government decisions at national level are significant, but they draw from international experience. Value Added: The article becomes an important voice on the impact of a pandemic on the functioning of the economy and globalization. Recommendations: A question was posed demanding further analyses: whether strengthening the central government would mean de-globalization tendencies. It seems that the virtualization of social and economic life will continue after the pandemic expires, which needs to be confirmed. The impact of the pandemic on the world should be the subject of many research studies in the future.

Rozwój społeczeństwa sieci jest immanentnie związany ze zwiększającym się zakresem zastosowań Internetu w działaniach marketingowych różnego typu przedsiębiorstw. Wyrazem dokonujących się przemian jest także postrzeganie odbiorców jako aktywnych podmiotów rynku mających duży udział w osiąganiu celów przedsiębiorstw poprzez współuczestnictwo w procesach kreowania wartości i rozwoju innowacji. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie roli Internetu z punktuwidzenia wdrażania zasad orientacji na klienta. Kształtowanie orientacji na klienta w dobie rozwo-ju Internetu wymaga poszukiwania innowacyjnych rozwiązań w zakresie jego zastosowań na poszczególnych etapach procesu zarządzania wartością dla klienta, czyli na etapach definiowania i kształtowania wartości oraz jej komunikowania i dystrybuowania. Ułatwia to przechodzenie od modelu gospodarki „push” polegającego na dostosowywaniu oferty do rozpoznanego popytu do modelu „pull” zakładającego pobudzanie aktywności klientów w inicjowaniu nowych rozwiązań służących rozwojowi oferty rynkowej. Artykuł został oparty na studiach literaturowych, a także na analizie i interpretacji wyników badania ilościowego zrealizowanego w ramach projektu: „Internet w marketingu oraz zastosowanie nowych technologii w prowadzeniu współpracy firmy z klientami”. Badaniem zostali objęci menadżerowie odpowiadający za wykorzystanie Internetu w działa-niach marketingowych i w procesie budowania relacji z klientami w różnego typu przedsiębiorstwach. Badanie kwestionariuszowe zostało przeprowadzone w 2013 roku na próbie 150 przedsiębiorstw funkcjonujących na rynku polskim.
The development of net society is immanently linked to growing scope of Internet use in marketing actions taken by various types of businesses. An expression of the ongoing changes is also the perception of consumers as active market players having high share in achieving the objectives of enterprises through participation in the processes of value creation and innovation. The aim of the paper is to show the role of the Internet in terms of the implementation of the principles of customer orientation. Shaping of customer orientation in the era of the Internet requires a search for innovative solutions in terms of its applications at various stages of the process of value man-agement for the customer that is, at the stages of defining and shaping the value as well as its communication and distribution. This makes it easy to move from a „push” model of economy consisting in adapting the offer to the identified demand to the „pull” model which assumes stimulation of the customer activity in initiating the development of new solutions for the market offer. The article was based on literature study, as well as the analysis and interpretation of the results of the quantitative research realized in the framework of the project „Internet marketing and use of new technologies in the conduct of business cooperation with customers”. The study has covered managers from various types of businesses responsible for the use of Internet in marketing actions and for the process of building customer relations. Questionnaire survey was conducted in 2013 on a sample of 150 companies operating on the Polish market.

In this paper the authors intend to report results for performance evaluation of Xen-based node providing both transport and computational functionalities. This node design is proposed as the implementation platform developed for the Polish Initiative of Future Internet called System IIP. In particular, we search for mutual dependence among transport and computational performance parameters of the node. Our investigations show that there is significant dependence among performance indices, such as virtual link bandwidth and node’s processing power, strongly depending on frame size. The tests and measurements were done according to fundamental methodology designed for network devices, described in RFC 2544. The goal of those investigations is to design a provisioning module allocating both transport and computational resources.

Maintaining large amount of virtual machines requires a lot of dedication and time from administrator. Using tools provided by virtualization vendors help in daily maintenance. Additionally it is often required to predict future problems. To address this need there are solutions which include analytic mechanisms to lower the risk of possible issues. In open source world there are many competitive tools, but none of them is integrated with virtualization solution. Maintaining large infrastructure using many administrative consoles is difficult and creates a potential for human mistakes. Mentioned software miss one key functionality - it is not possible to deeply monitor guest operating system of the virtual machine while maintaining integration with virtualization software. Solution proposed in this paper was created to solve this issue with agent based diagnostic mechanisms to provide information about network connectivity, resource usage, applications state, system settings and health.
Zarządzanie dużą ilością maszyn wirtualnych wymaga od administratora wiele czasu oraz poświęcenia. Wykorzystanie narzędzi dostarczonych wraz z oprogramowaniem wirtualizacyjnym ułatwia utrzymanie infrastruktury. Dodatkowo często wymagane jest przewidywanie problemów, które mogą wystąpić w środowisku wirtualnym. W tym celu powstało oprogramowanie zawierające mechanizmy analityczne zmniejszające ryzyko awarii. W świecie oprogramowania open source istnieje wiele narzędzi, lecz żadne z nich nie jest zintegrowane z platformą wirtualizacyjną, a w związku z tym zarządzanie infrastrukturą jest trudne. Przedstawionym rozwiązaniom brak jest jednej istotnej funkcjonalności - ´ możliwości dokładnego monitorowania systemów operacyjnych. Zaproponowane w publikacji oprogramowanie w oparciu o architekturę agentową stara się rozwiązać ten problem poprzez wykorzystanie mechanizmów dostarczających informacji o stanie sieci, zużyciu zasobów, stanie aplikacji, ustawieniach systemu oraz jego zdrowiu.

Jednym z najważniejszych zagadnień współczesnej informatyki jest zapewnianie bezpieczeństwa systemów komputerowych. Realne straty finansowe, które wynikają z ataków na systemy komputerowe z roku na rok są coraz większe. W artykule przedstawiono, opracowany przez autorów, innowacyjny system ochrony integralności plików o nazwie ICAR. System pozwala na wykrywanie zmian w plikach, a także, w odróżnieniu od dotychczas dostępnych systemów, automatycznie przywraca oryginalną zawartość chronionych plików. Przedstawiono także rozwaSania na temat potencjalnych kierunków rozwoju systemów ochrony integralności plików. Opisano moSliwości wykorzystania technik wirtualizacji, a także nowoczesnych rozwiązań sprzętowych do zwiększenia bezpieczeństwa systemów operacyjnych.
One of the key issues of contemporary computer science is security of computer systems. Each year real financial losses resulted from attacks on computer systems increase. This article presents innovative system for protecting the integrity of file systems called the ICAR, developed by the authors. ICAR detects changes in files and, in contrast to previously available systems, automatically restores the original contents of protected files. The paper also describes potential directions of further development of file integrity checking systems. It presents the possibility of enhancing the security of operating systems with virtualization techniques and advanced hardware solutions.

The need for cost optimization in a broad sense constitutes the basis of operation of every enterprise. In the case of IT structure (which is present in almost every field of activity these days), one of the most commonly applied technologies leading to good cost-to-profit adjustment is virtualization. This allows the location of several operational systems with IT systems on a single server. In order for such an optimization to be carried out correctly, it has to be strictly controlled by means of allocating access to resources (which is known as performance isolation). Modern virtualizers allow us to set up this allocation in quantitative terms (the number of processors, size of RAM, or disc space). It appears, however, that in qualitative terms (processor time, RAM, or hard disc bandwidth), the actual allocation of resources does not always correspond with this configuration. This paper provides an experimental presentation of the achievable quality level of performance isolation of the Hyper-V virtualizer.

The aim of this article was to look through new business concepts in IT, to define them, to see the services offered and the possibilities of use in practice. New technology ideas puts IT as a service. Great distraction of information and intelligent tools makes them ineffective and takes low advantage of them. Grid and Cloud Computing are the latest concepts in IT and offers the agility to business and universities as well. In other words, because of virtualization and abstraction the processes that occurs in these institutions can be managed swiftly, easily and effectively. Allows to make the most of company's resources. Physical locations of resources can be flexibly bounded and adjusted to current needs. Globalization and rapidly growing competition is forcing to apply the most innovative solutions. Taking in consideration the universities it is even more important when thinking of students as future human capital ,which should know the possibilities and be prepared the best. Sharing of computing, data centers, applications etc. on demand provides more powerful tools, more organized work and higher scalability and flexibility through inclusion of external resources. Grid and Cloud Computing have the potential to provide an IT infrastructure that addresses the demands of business while utilizing the IT resources most efficiently and cost-effectively.

This work describes the most important methods of isolating running processes of selected software on one physical machine without using full virtualization of the operating system. It includes a comparison of the basic components of each of the methods described, including the features and interface, as well as the results of performance testing in a test environment prepared for this purpose. Research is based on running an identical application and comparing the use of basic system resources, as well as the time of launching containers. It may also be important to compare the methods studied to classical virtualization. At the end of the work, conclusions are described that may be relevant when choosing a method in future projects depending on requirements and needs.
Niniejsza praca opisuje najważniejsze metody izolacji uruchomionych procesów wybranego oprogramowania na jednej maszynie fizycznej bez użycia do tego celu pełnej wirtualizacji systemu operacyjnego. Zawiera porównanie podstawowych składników każdej z opisanych metod, w tym cechy i interfejsu, a także wyniki badania wydajności w przygotowanym do tego celu środowisku testowym. Badania oparte są na uruchamianiu identycznej aplikacji i porównywaniu wykorzystania podstawowych zasobów systemowych, a także czasu uruchamiania kontenerów. Istotne jest tu również porównanie badanych metod do klasycznej wirtualizacji. Na końcu pracy opisane są wnioski, które mogą być istotne przy wyborze metody w przyszłych projektach w zależności od wymagań i potrzeb.

W artykule przedstawiono proces umieszczania aplikacji dostarczającej usługi sieciowe w kontenerach Dockera. Docker pozwala na skrócenie w znaczący sposób czasu utworzenia i utrzymania środowisk pracy. Umożliwia skalowanie infrastruktury aplikacji w rzeczywistym czasie i poprawia wykorzystanie zasobów poprzez obsługę wielu kontenerów. Zapewnia także budowanie aplikacji sterowanych zdarzeniami zorientowanych na usługi. Całość pozwala na sku-pienie się na celach biznesowych realizowanego celu. W części 1. przedstawiono zarys technologii opartej na Dockerze. Część 2. opisuje kolejne kroki przygotowania środowiska budowy pliku konfiguracyjnego i uruchomienia kontenera od utworzenia pliku Dockerfile, docker-compose.yml, poprzez konfigurację bazy danych i uruchomienia samej usługi. Część 3. skupia się na procesie instalacji frameworka Django. Część 4. zawiera szczegółowe informacje dotyczące szczegółów konfiguracji bazy danych.
The article shows the process of placing applications that provide web services in Docker containers, which allows you to significantly reduce the time to set up and maintain a work envi-ronment. Docker enables real-time scaling of the application infrastructure and improves resource utilization by supporting multiple containers. It also provides building of event-driven service-oriented applications. The whole thing allows you to focus on your business goals. The following chapters examine the Docker-based technology. They describe the steps of preparing the environ-ment for building the configuration file and starting the container from creating the Dockerfile file, docker-compose.yml, through database configuration and starting the service itself.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane oprogramowanie do wirtualizacji systemów, a następnie przedstawiono badanie ich wydajności.
Nowadays concept of virtualization is common technology in almost every information technology based discipline. As the processing power of servers rise, it turns out that optimal use of available resources becomes meaningful issue. The purpose of this article is to summarize a few chosen virtualization platforms available for server virtualization. At the beginning, selected hypervisors and theirs characteristics are roughly described. Afterwards, results of overall performance tests inside environments implementing mentioned before hypervisors are presented and analyzed.

Virtualization of IT system implementation and maintenance processes is now possible in small and micro-companies, characterized by relative simplicity and a marked recurrence of business processes. The popularity of such an approach to the implementation is largely due to the wide availability of IT solutions offering remote administration of authorized IT resources. A virtual form of implementation offers a significant reduction of both cost and time, compared with a traditional approach. The aim of this paper is to offer an analysis and assessment of the potential of virtualization of the business processes relating to IT system implementation and maintenance.

VR technology is an emerging IT innovation that greatly affects consumer behaviour and consumer perception of products. The aim of this study is to examine how the virtual reality phenomenon can be used as a marketing communication tool and how its usage affects the reception of individual components of a marketing message. The research conducted examined the possible impact of virtual reality on message perception and attitude towards particular offers. Additionally the authors wanted to find out whether there was a relationship between the use of virtual reality and the acceptance of new technologies in marketing communication. To verify the stated hypotheses empirical research was conducted involving an experiment with 150 observations of respondents taking advantage of three different marketing communication tools including: VR presentation with Oculus Rift hardware, video and printed advertisements. The results obtained reveal that VR technology positively and significantly impacts the reception of the offer, the technology involved and the presentation itself.

The problem of providing support for quality of service (QoS) guarantees is studied in many areas of information technologies. In recent years the evolution of software architectures led to the rising prominence of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concept. For Web-based systems there are three attributes that directly relate to everyday perception of the QoS for the end user: availability, usability, and performance. The paper focuses on performance issues of service delivery. The architecture of Virtual Service Delivery System (VSDS), a tool to serve requests for synchronized services is presented. It is proposed suitable monitoring technique used for estimation of values of service parameters and allocation of communication and execution resources by means of service distribution. The paper also presents results of experiments performed in real environment that show effectiveness of proposed solutions.

Technological development has resulted in the digitization of many areas of life. The modern society is particularly defined as the “information society”, because of the fact that most of their activities take place on the Internet and thus the society is information-dependent. The introduced governmental sanitary restrictions (also in terms of the functioning of the economy) to limit the spread of the coronavirus caused that life has shifted to a greater extent to the Internet sphere. The aim of the study is to determine the potential impact of a pandemic on the virtualization of buying behavior. The conducted research is exploratory in nature and constitutes a valuable starting point for potential further directions of analyzes. The results of this study showed that excavating the topic of the impact of the pandemic on buying behavior in the area of consumption virtualization is justified, because in all the analyzed product categories there was a statistically significant change in the form of purchases.

Do badań wykorzystano narzędzia OpenSSL, GeekBench i Phoronix-test-suite w celu wykonania testów wydajnościowych. w porównaniu uwzględniono wybrane metody szyfrowania, wielkość bloku danych oraz prędkość kompilacji.
The aim of the article is to compare the performance of five popular virtualization solutions used in the private cloud model. The analysis was conducted for five virtualizers: Proxmox, OpenVZ, OpenNebula, Vmware ESX, Xen Server. OpenSSL, GeekBench and Phoronixtestsuite tools were used to perform performance tests. The comparison included selected encryption methods, data block size, and compilation speed.

The paper presents some of the results obtained within the ongoing project related with functional requirements and design models of secure workstation for special applications (SWSA). SWSA project is directed toward the combination of the existing hardware and software virtualization with cryptography and identification technologies to ensure the security of multilevel classified data by means of some formal methods. In the paper the requirements for SWSA, its hardware and software architecture, selected security solution for data processing and utilized approach to designing secure software are presented. The novel method for secure software design employs dedicated tools to verify the confidentiality and the integrity of data using Unified Modeling Language (UML) models. In general, the UML security models are embedded in and simulated with the system architecture models, thus the security problems in SWSA can be detected early during the software design. The application of UML topology models enables also to verify the fundamental requirement for MLS systems, namely the hardware isolation of subjects from different security domains.

We have conducted research on the performance of six supervised machine learning (ML) algorithms used for network traffic classification in a virtual environment driven by network function virtualization (NFV). The performance-related analysis focused on the precision of the classification process, but also in time-intensity (speed) of the supervised ML algorithms. We devised specific traffic taxonomy using commonly used categories, with particular emphasis placed on VoIP and encrypted VoIP protocols serve as a basis of the 5G architecture. NFV is considered to be one of the foundations of 5G development, as the traditional networking components are fully virtualized, in many cases relaying on mixed cloud solutions, both of the premise- and public cloud-based variety. Virtual machines are being replaced by containers and application functions while most of the network traffic is flowing in the east-west direction within the cloud. The analysis performed has shown that in such an environment, the Decision Tree algorithm is best suited, among the six algorithms considered, for performing classification-related tasks, and offers the required speed that will introduce minimal delays in network flows, which is crucial in 5G networks, where packet delay requirements are of great significance. It has proven to be reliable and offered excellent overall performance across multiple network packet classes within a virtualized NFV network architecture. While performing the classification procedure, we were working only with the statistical network flow features, leaving out packet payload, source, destination- and port-related information, thus making the analysis valid not only from the technical, but also from the regulatory point of view.

W artykule omówiono zagadnienia związane z wirtualizacją systemów komputerowych. Przedstawiono podstawowe typy wirtualizacji, jej zastosowanie i stosowane w praktyce rozwiązania. W artykule zaprezentowano również wyniki badań systemu wirtualizacji pod kątem jego wydajności, zorientowane na realizację konkretnego mechanizmu rezerw (konkretnej struktury niezawodnościowej).
This article is devoted to the discussion of the methods of virtualization the hardware and its applications to ensure increased reliability of the hardware and software system. Such systems can be used alongside (and in some cases: instead of) traditional duplication of selected elements of critical infrastructure. The article discusses the issues associated with virtualization systems. The article shows the basic types of virtualization, its use and actual practices. The article presents the results of the research system virtualization for its performance-oriented implementation of specific provisioning mechanism (specific reliability structure).

This paper presents performance comparison of operating systems running on different cloud environments. The main focus is to compare the performance of the cloud systems: Eucalyptus, Nimbus and virtual system. The performance, of the encountered at the present time solutions of the cloud and virtual systems, is considerably closer to the operating system installed locally. The results of the carried out tests show that in some areas the system installed locally performs better, but in the high throughput computing the cloud environment points out.
Artykuł prezentuje porównanie wydajności systemów operacyjnych uruchamianych w różnych środowiskach chmurowych. Główny nacisk położony jest na porównanie wydajności systemów chmurowych: Eucalyptus Nimbus wraz z system wirtualnym. Wydajność obecnie dostępnych rozwiązań systemów chmurowych i wirtualizacji jest zbliżona do lokalnie zainstalowanych systemów operacyjnych. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań wskazują, że w niektórych obszarach lokalnie zainstalowany system działa lepiej, ale w czasie, gdy wymagana jest duża przepustowość, środowisko chmurowe jest wydajniejsze.

Today‟s computing power of individual computers to serve as the server repeatedly exceeds the requirements of the operating system and services available computing power. Using solutions multiplying the amount of concurrent operating systems on one physical machine called the host manages to saturate the available power. Solutions based on virtualization can be used in teaching computer labs least because of the centralized management carried out by the teacher.

Opis:
Konsument w XXI w. funkcjonuje w świecie zdominowanym przez sieci komputerowe, a także w warunkach spektakularnego rozwoju technologii informacyjnych oraz teleinformatycznych. Konsument taki łączy się z wieloma społecznościami, korzysta z opinii zarówno osób znajomych, jak i nieznajomych, pozostaje w ciągłych relacjach z różnymi jednostkami na rynku poprzez media społecznościowe, blogi czy fora. Współczesny konsument zdobywa w Internecie niezbędne wiedzę i umiejętności, a także ma więcej możliwości podejmowania działań w ramach zrównoważonej konsumpcji. Przypuszcza się więc, że wirtualizacja zachowań konsumentów sprzyja rozwojowi zrównoważonej konsumpcji. Najbardziej efektywną metodą badawczą wirtualnych zachowań konsumentów w odniesieniu do zrównoważonej konsumpcji wydaje się być netnografia. Netnografia to badania wirtualne, czyli takie, które przeprowadza się w Internecie z zastosowaniem technik antropologicznych umożliwiających badanie społeczności, np. analiza informacji o danej zbiorowości ze stron internetowych czy mediów społecznościowych bądź analiza rzeczywistych interakcji wyrażonych w postaci tekstów czy wymiany obrazków, filmów. Badania netnograficzne pozwolą na zrealizowanie celu niniejszego opracowania, którym jest identyfikacja i charakterystyka zjawiska wirtualizacji zachowań konsumentów w odniesieniu do zjawiska zrównoważonej konsumpcji.
Consumer in XXI century has to operate in an environment which is dominated by computer networks and spectacular development of new technologies. Majority of consumers connect through the Internet, especially social media, with different types of networks and communities, make use of opinions made by both friends and strangers and sustain in constant contact with market entities. Modern consumer gain in-depth knowledge and skills which support him in sustainable consumption behavior. It can be assumed that virtualization of consumer behavior favours development of sustainable consumption. As a result of fact that netnography is one of the most effective method used in order to understand virtual consumer behavior, it was used to conduct research in this paper. It enabled to reach main aim of the paper which is to identify and characterize phenomenon of virtualization of consumer behavior in relation to sustainable consumption.

Opis:
Purpose: The main purpose of this paper is to discuss universities’ virtualization activities and to propose a framework for assessing the maturity of these actions at any university. Design/methodology/approach: The maturity model has been developed according to the Design Science Research in Information Systems (DSRIS) methodology as outlined by Vaishnavi, Kuechler and Petter (2019). Findings: The main finding in the paper is a new framework called Virtual Index of Maturity (VIM) that can help to measure the current state of universities’ virtualization activities and to plan their future development. The proposed framework includes all areas of their activity: teaching, research and administration and allows for assessing the virtualization maturity of each of them, considering their specificity. Consequently, the overall information on universities’ maturity in the context of virtualization activities is obtained. Such information can be used by university authorities to plan subsequent steps of development. Research limitations/implications: Once published and applied, the proposed framework of the Virtual Maturity Index (VIM) should be evaluated as part of further research, with any necessary corrections as deemed necessary. This should lead to the development of best practice for university managers, researchers and other stakeholders involved in virtualization issues. Originality/value: Our paper provides important contributions to both theory and practice in the area of universities’ virtualization operations. The Virtual Maturity Index (VIM) is a proprietary, original solution.
Cel: dyskusja na temat działań uczelni w zakresie wirtualizacji oraz zaproponowanie ram oceny dojrzałości tych działań. Metodologia: podczas pracy nad modelem dojrzałości wykorzystano metodykę Design Science Research in Information Systems – DSRIS zaproponowaną w pracy Vaishnavi, Kuechler i Petter (2019). Wyniki: zbudowanie Wirtualnego Indeksu Dojrzałości (VIM), który jest pomocny w pomiarze aktualnego stanu uczelni w zakresie wirtualizacji oraz w planowaniu ich przyszłego rozwoju. Zaproponowane rozwiązanie obejmuje wszystkie obszary działalności uczelni: dydaktykę, badania i administrację oraz pozwala ocenić dojrzałość wirtualną każdego z nich z uwzględnieniem jego specyfiki. W efekcie uzyskuje się ogólną informację o dojrzałości uczelni w kontekście działań wirtualizacyjnych, które mogą być wykorzystane przez władze uczelni do planowania kolejnych etapów rozwoju. Ograniczenia/implikacje badawcze: zaproponowany model Wirtualnego Indeksu Dojrzałości (VIM) po fazie upublicznienia i stosowania powinien w ramach dalszych badań zostać poddany ewaluacji i powinny być naniesione ewentualne korekty. Stosowanie i ewaluacja powinny doprowadzić do opracowania najlepszych praktyk dla kierowników uczelni, badaczy i innych interesariuszy zajmujących się kwestiami wirtualizacji. Oryginalność/wartość: artykuł wnosi ważny wkład zarówno w teorię, jak i w praktykę w obszarze operacji wirtualizacji uczelni. Wirtualny Indeks Dojrzałości (VIM) jest autorskim rozwiązaniem oryginalnym.

Opis:
The reception of theatric plays by the young viewer (an example of which can be found in the discussion after the student's premiere of Acropolis directed by Łukasz Twardowski) reveals the need to expand the theatric education with the elements of the post-war tradition of the Polish scene. The example of the cultural gap in this regard can be heard in e.g. the voices of young critics on the re-mix on Lidia Zamkow, which show the lack of knowledge on the meaning of the cultural phenomenon, which was the theatre of that director. Implementing the subject, the main aim of which would be to familiarize the students with great personas of the theatre of the last five decades into the cultural studies curriculum seems absolutely necessary if one wants to raise an aware member of the culture – also the post-modernist one

Opis:
In this article the requirements to some number of KPI that determine the quality of service (QoS) in 5G networks are formulated. The proposed QoS requirements are based on the analysis of functional requirements to 5G networks and traffic parameters for HD video and massive M2M services, which will be highly demanded in 2020. One of the 5G development paradigms is the network function virtualization (NFV) including cloud radio access and cloud core networks. The authors have proposed the concept of function blocks CQMF and CQCF to control and monitor QoS, which are implemented as part of the 5G network cloud infrastructure.

Opis:
The primary network layer protocol on which theoperation of most computer networks is based, including the Internet is the Internet protocol version 4 (IPv4). Due to the limitations of this protocol, it is becoming increasingly widespread use of the Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6). The IPv6 implements some new features not available in IPv4. The paper provides a short overview of the key features of IPv6 and discussed the possible levels of network virtualization. The research environment to testing the level of support for IPv6 protocol by virtualization environments is proposed. The results of tests conducted using the proposed research environment for Hyper-V virtualizer are presented.

Opis:
Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL and PostgreSQL are four of the most popular relational databases. They are often used in internet applications. This paper aims to compare the efficiency of these technologies in terms of speed using containerization with Docker. No publications that include that aspect were found among previous papers. After review of the literature, it was hypothesized that the Oracle engine would be the fastest. During the research, a series of experiments was carried out using the application, in which tests for measuring the time of instruction execution were implemented. Each query was measured 100 times and the first measurement was rejected. The obtained results confirmed the hypothesis about the superiority of the Oracle database. As in previous studies, it proved to be the fastest, also using containerization.
Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL i PostgreSQL to cztery z najpopularniejszych relacyjnych baz danych. Są one często wyko-rzystywane w aplikacjach internetowych. Artykuł ma za cel porównanie efektywności tych technologii pod względem szybkości z wykorzystaniem konteneryzacji przy pomocy Docker. Wśród dotychczasowych publikacji nie znaleziono takich, które uwzględniałyby ten aspekt. Po przeglądzie literatury postawiono hipotezę, że silnik Oracle będzie najszyb-szy. Podczas badań przeprowadzono serię eksperymentów z użyciem aplikacji, w której zaimplementowane zostały testy do pomiaru czasu wykonania instrukcji. Każde zapytanie zostało zmierzone 100-krotnie, a pierwszy pomiar odrzucony. Uzyskane rezultaty potwierdziły hipotezę o przewadze bazy Oracle. Podobnie jak w dotychczasowych badaniach okazała się ona najszybsza, także z użyciem konteneryzacji.

The article discusses the subject of virtualization – the process of partial transmission significant discursive fields into the Internet – of the film culture, which is defined as the group of practices and discourses accompanying cinema, which connect it with the socio-cultural environment. According to the author, the virtualization process is specifically exposed during pandemics and social isolation, what is presented in the text from the perspective of film audience. Pandemic is treated here as liminoidal moment, in which, due to the disorder of cinema’s functioning, its social networks happen to transform in certain manner. By interpreting results of his own fieldwork, author points at general dynamics of virtualization as an element of contemporary film culture, highlighting both the possibilities opened by such situation and dangers it brings.

Chmura obliczeniowa, czyli cloud computing, to rozwiązanie, które można nazwać przyszłością IT (ang. Information Technology, technologia informacyjna). Niezwykle dynamicznie rozwijające się technologie informatyczne powodują, że coraz większa grupa użytkowników po prostu nie nadąża z wdrażaniem nowych technologii, a dodatkowo koszty częstej aktualizacji systemów są naprawdę znaczące. Dzięki chmurze obliczeniowej możemy skorzystać z najnowszych rozwiązań i największej mocy obliczeniowej bez potrzeby zakupu, serwisowania i częstej aktualizacji sprzętu oraz oprogramowania. Jest to niezwykle istotne z ekonomicznego punktu widzenia użytkowników, gdyż w przypadku tradycyjnych systemów IT każda aktualizacja programowo-sprzętowa wymagała sporych nakładów finansowych. Ważnym aspektem jest również skalowalność chmury obliczeniowej, gdzie system „rośnie” wraz z rozwojem i możliwościami danej firmy, nie generując zbytecznych wydatków. Można zatem powiedzieć, iż jest to niemal idealne rozwiązanie firm i przedsiębiorstw, które swoją działalność opierają na innowacyjnych rozwiązaniach, a do takiej grupy możemy zaliczyć m.in. media. Chmura obliczeniowa pozwoli w tym przypadku na wdrażanie najnowszych technologii IT, minimalizując koszty z tym związane.
Cloud computing, is a solution that can be called the future of IT (Information Technology). Extremely fast developing technologies mean that an increasing number of users simply cannot keep up with the implementation of new technologies, and in addition the cost of frequent updates to these systems are really significant. With cloud computing, we can take advantage of the latest solutions and the largest computing power without the need to purchase, servicing and frequent updating of hardware and software. This is very important from an economic point of view of the users, since in the case of traditional IT systems, each update of software and hardware required considerable financial investments. An important aspect is the scalability of cloud computing, where the system ‘grows’ with the development and capabilities of the company, without generating unnecessary expenditure. It could then be said that this is almost the perfect solution for companies and enterprises, where activities are based on innovative solutions, which include, among others, media. Cloud computing will allow, in this case, for the implementation of the latest IT technology, minimizing the costs associated with the process.

The use of ‘proper energy computation system’ is the best method to investigate the problem of energy deficiency, since energy consumption in computational resources is proportional with the work load in the applied program. Also, the best method to improve the use of resources and decrease in energy consumption is dynamic integration of virtual machines which can be a base for the integration of resources in independent systems through virtualization technology, so that it is possible to use resources and equipment for long time and consequently assuring quicker return of investment. Today, grid computation is a new technology connecting heterogeneous computational resources to each other; thus, this structure operates as an individual and integrated virtual machine. Then, it is possible to implement very complex applied programs requiring high processing capacity and huge amount of input data on this virtual machine. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to present an approach for resource management in grid environments using PSO and Genetic algorithms, and also ants colony to find the location of virtual machines.

Opis:
Purpose: The article is devoted to critical reflection on the commonly used value chain model taking the perspective of contemporary role of client and technological advancement in multifaceted organizational development and management. It attempts to outline and thoroughly describe the new perspective of value creation and value management taking into account digital technologies and social media platforms. Methodology: Deductive approach have been implemented, secondary data and sources have been used. Finally, the model of Value chain 2.0 was presented, conceptualized and described from both theoretical and practical sides. Design: The first part of the article is focused on the explanation of present potential of client for any enterprise. The second part attempts to explain the role of virtualization processes, exemplified by social media, semantic web approach or virtual organization in the shift of value creation. Finally, the concept of value chain 2.0 is proposed and discussed. Findings: There is a rapid transformation of value creation where linearity, control and inter organizational resources are gradually being replaced by network value creation where clients’ activities play pivotal role in organization performance and where value is defined in much broader way. Practical implications: The conclusions have profound meaning for companies and organizations striving for engagement of clients, partners and employees in value creation processes. The paper presents both theoretical foundations along with practical implications for value co-creation. Originality: The thorough and detailed analysis and interpretation of multifaceted shift and transformation of value creation and value management is presented. The article describes the ways the social media, digital technologies and contemporary marketing influence the way organization creates value.

Dzięki niej na jednym serwerze można uruchomić kilkanaście systemów operacyjnych mogących zasilić całą pracownię komputerową w szkole. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie możliwości wykorzystania wirtualnych dysków w szkolnej pracowni, w wyniku których możliwa jest indywidualna praca każdego ucznia wraz z archiwizacją jego wyników.
One of the many ways of managing computing power of servers is to use virtualization. Thanks to it on a single server can run several operating systems capable of feeding the entire computer lab at school. This article aims to show the possibilities of using virtual disk in the school lab, as a result of which it is an individual work of each student, along with archiving its results.

Opis:
The purpose of this study is to indicate the methods of identifying sources of value in a sample of four organizations which are global engineering service providers operating in the form of an interorganizational network. The empirical research used the network paradigm and the concept of organization description using network rents. The research was be based on an especially developed questionnaire survey using a structured survey questionnaire proposed by Trzaska. The study used a critical analysis of the relevant literature, desk research, and the author's own analytical tools for measuring the value generated in interorganizational networks. The outcome of the study is the identification of the value creation methods applied by global engineering service providers and the indication of the possibility to measure them. The originality this research results from the new value creation methods applied by global engineering service providers.
Celem badania jest wskazanie metod identyfikacji źródeł wartości w organizacjach typu „globalny dostawca usług inżynierskich” działających w formie sieci międzyorganizacyjnej. W badaniach wykorzystano paradygmat sieciowy zarządzania strategicznego i koncepcję analizy organizacji stosującej renty sieciowe. Do badania wykorzystano specjalnie opracowany ustrukturyzowany kwestionariusz ankietowy zaproponowany przez R. Trzaskę. Ponadto użyto metody krytycznej analizy literatury przedmiotu, metody badania typu desk research oraz autorskiego narzędzia analitycznego do pomiaru wartości generowanej w sieciach międzyorganizacyjnych. Efektem badania jest identyfikacja metod kreowania wartości stosowanych przez globalnych dostawców usług inżynierskich i wskazanie możliwości ich pomiaru. Oryginalność badań wynika ze wskazania nowych metod kreowania wartości stosowanych przez globalnych dostawców usług inżynierskich.

Opis:
Pandemia odmieniła oblicze „wspólnoty grzeszników, potrzebujących miłości Boga” (Benedykt XVI). Papiestwo czasów koronawirusa naznaczone jest niezwykłymi gestami i znakami. Decyzja o zamknięciu świątyń dla osób wierzących była bolesnym doświadczeniem. Nie brakowało opinii krytycznych na temat pobłażliwości władz kościelnych. Zamknięcie kościołów ze względów sanitarno-epidemiologicznych wymogło wezwanie do tworzenia prawdziwych „Kościołów domowych”. Pandemia zwirtualizowała nasze życie, co konsekwentnie dotknęło wspólnoty Kościoła. Internet jako „cyfrowy kontynent” stał się współczesnym areopagiem przekazu wiary. To rodzi nowe wyzwania i zagrożenia. Wirtualizacja życia religijnego doprowadziła do powstania nowej odmiany „churchingu”, w czasie pandemii narodził się bowiem „e-churching”. Czas epidemii uruchomił we wspólnocie Kościoła różne radykalizmy. Kościół czasów pandemii to „Kościół otwartych drzwi” (Franciszek), ale też i słabość formacji stałej duchownych i katechezy świeckich, zaniedbania sfery medialnej. Oblicze wspólnoty Kościoła w skali mikro egzemplifikuje Kościół lokalny – w tym przypadku Polska Misji Katolicka we Freiburgu (wspólnota emigracyjna, wspólnota sakramentalna i „domowego Kościoła”, wspólnota słuchania i towarzyszenia, zwirtualizowana wspólnota Słowa i formacji duchowej, wspólnota „wyobraźni miłosierdzia”, wspólnota inkulturacji i „diakonii kultury”, wspólnota zaangażowana, wspólnota poszu- kująca sensu).Kościół popandemiczny będzie musiał zmierzyć się z nowymi wyzwaniami: zlokalizowanie między obecnością w świecie („aggiornamento”) a odświatowieniem („En- tweltlichung”), prymat ewangelizacji przed sakramentalizacją, zaangażowanie się w po- sługę towarzyszenia i słuchania, tworzenie wspólnoty komunii („communio”) i misji („missio”), określenie tożsamości jako wspólnoty miłosierdzia w skali jednego ludzkiego serca, jak i w skali całego Kościoła.
The pandemic has changed the face of the “community of sinners in need of God’s love” (Benedict XVI). The papacy of the COVID-19 era is marked by unusual gestures and signs. The decision to close the temples to believers was a painful experience. There was no lack of critical opinions about the leniency of church authorities. The closure of the churches for sanitary and epidemiological reasons required a call for the creation of real “home churches”.he pandemic has virtualised our lives, a process that has consistently affected the community of the Church. As a “digital continent”, the Internet has become the modern Areopagus of the message of faith. This gives rise to new challenges and threats. The virtualisation of religious life has led to the emergence of a new kind of “churching”, namely, “e-churching”, an idea born during the pandemic. The time of the epidemic has triggered various radicalisms in the Church community. The Church of the pandemic is an “Open Door Church” (Francis), but there are also weaknesses in the permanent formation of clergy and secular catechesis and the neglect of the media sphere. The face of the Church community on a microscale is exemplified by the local church – in this case, the Polish Catholic Mission in Freiburg (community in emigration, sacramental and “home church” community, a community of listening and accompaniment, a virtualised community of Word and spiritual formation, a community of “imagination of mercy”, a community of inculturation and “diaconia of culture”, a committed community, a community in search of meaning).The post-pandemic Church will have to face new challenges, finding its place between the presence in the world (“aggiornamento”) and the “deworldisation” (“Entwel- tlichung”), the primacy of evangelisation before sacramentalisation, engaging in the service of accompaniment and listening, creating a community of communion and mission, defining identity as a community of mercy in one human heart, as a whole Church.

We discuss the problem of a secure login to a virtualized workstation. For increased security, the workstation's hard drive is encrypted. During the startup, a decryption password to the drive must be entered by a user. We propose a solution that involves mutual authentication between the workstation and the user and ensures the password may be entered securely.

The purpose of the thesis is observation of network traffic encrypted with SSH (Secure Shell) protocol and comparison of packets transported using a standard SSH connection and packets transported using a connection established using remote port forwarding. The network used during research was created based on VirtualBox virtual machines and the research was carried out using the Wireshark program.
Celem pracy jest obserwacja ruchu szyfrowanego za pomocą protokołu SSH (Secure Shell) i porównanie pakietów transportowanych przy użyciu standardowego połączenia SSH oraz połączenia utworzonego przy pomocy zdalnego przekierowania portów. Sieć wykorzystywana podczas badań została stworzona w oparciu o maszyny wirtualne VirtualBox, a badanie zostało zrealizowane przy użyciu programu Wireshark.

Objective: The analysis of the characteristics of the creative process in musical arts depending on the form in which the aesthetic situation concerning musical arts takes place (traditional in-person or virtual with digital solutions) depending on the nationality of the musical art creator (Polish versus non-Polish). The following research questions were asked: 1) How do the forced virtualisation and digitisation affect the quality of the creative process within the aesthetic situation between Polish and non-Polish musical art creators? 2) Which qualitative parameters of the aesthetic situation are losing and which are gaining in connection with the creative process virtualisation in the eyes of Polish and non-Polish musical art creators? Methodology: Qualitative in the forms of literature review and interviews. Findings: The study reveals differences in the traditional and virtual creative process between Polish and non-Polish musical art creators. The general differences are insignificant; however, particular components are concerned with essential discrepancies. Value Added: New approach to the creative process in musical arts depending on the traditional and virtualised forms of the aesthetic situation. Recommendations: Perspectives of the research can be the large-scale research based on the methodology invented for this paper and more focused research investigating art creators from different countries, regions, and cultures, divided by age, gender or the length of artistic experience.

This makes for teachers of computer management and maintenance of critical technologies is one of the biggest challenges. One solution to this problem is a virtualization technology that enables consolidation of infrastructure to the environment virtual machines running on a single server real. W artykule przedstawia się ewolucję: biologiczną, społeczną i technologiczno-kulturową oraz biologiczno-technologiczną i czysto kulturową. Dwóm ostatnim towarzyszy ideologia transhumanizmu, a ich podstawą są nowe zintegrowane technologie stosowane w czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej i planowanej piątej. Transhumanizm zdaje się zastępować tradycyjne nauki humanistyczne. Ma na celu afi rmację technicyzacji struktur nieorganicznych i biologicznych, w tym człowieka najpierw bionizowanego, następnie cyborgizowanego, aż do jego wirtualizacji. Technicyzacji ma podlegać otoczenie przyrodnicze i społeczne. Wskazuje się na powstające problemy ontyczne i etyczne w obliczu symbiozy bytów naturalnych i technicznych.
The article presents biological, social and technological-cultural evolution and biological-technological and purely cultural evolution. The last two are accompanied by the ideology of transhumanism and their basis is the new integrated technologies used in the current fourth industrial revolution and the planned fifth. Transhumanism seems to be replacing the traditional humanities. It aims to affirm the technicisation of inorganic and biological structures, including the human being, first bionised, then cyborgised and finally virtualised. The natural and social environment is to be technicised. Ontic and ethical problems arising in the face of the symbiosis of natural and technical entities are pointed out.

Social media are used in political battle to come to power, it is also a form of party leaders competition, that influence on political party image. The subject of this Master thesis is image campaign led in social media by political party leaders during parliamentary elections 2015 in Poland. Thesis presents tools of modern communication used by politicians. Trial of analysis their activities on Facebook and Twitter was taken. There were analysed skills of crisis management and election results. Hate in the Internet and trolling phenomenon, that are always connected with virtual reality were also investigated.

Media społecznościowe wykorzystywane są do walki politycznej o elektorat, są także wyrazem rywalizacji liderów politycznych, wpływając tym samym na wizerunek samej partii politycznej. Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy jest prowadzona w mediach społecznościowych kampania wizerunkowa liderów partii politycznych podczas wyborów parlamentarnych w 2015 r. Zaprezentowano narzędzia nowoczesnej komunikacji wykorzystywane przez klasę polityczną. Podjęto próbę analizy ich aktywności na Facebooku oraz Twitterze. Analizie poddano umiejętność radzenia sobie z kryzysem, jak również wyniki wyborów. Omówione zostają wymagania sprzętowe, także zaproponowana zostaje metoda kickstart która pozwala na całkowitą automatyzację procesu instalacji.Czwarty rozdział przybliża czytelnikowi w jaki sposób należy przygotować maszyny wirtualne poszczególnych dystrybucji, następnie zintegrować je w celu stworzenia wirtualnego środowiska. Opisane zostają metody tworzenia maszyn wirtualnych takich systemów jak Debian, Fedora, CentOS oraz Windows. Przedstawiony zostaje model sieciowy oferowany przez Xen, oraz sposób jego wykorzystania poprzez skrypt automatyzujący proces przygotowywania i konfiguracji środowiska wirtualnego.Piąty rozdział opisuję środowisko testowe, które powstało podczas realizowania pracy magisterskiej.Ostatni szósty rozdział podsumowuje całość pracy magisterskiej. Master's thesis "Linux Virtual Environment for Testing Configuration and Performance of Local Networks" is divided into six chapters.First chapter describes motivation and purpose of Master`s thesis. One of the motivation factors for this work is the need of analysis and trying out existing solutions of virtualization. Another need is the creation of virtual environment for performance tests in local network. Goals of this Master`s thesis is the demonstration of the building process and configuration virtual environment, delivery tools that allow to automate whole process and produce example of the local network that virtual environment is able to provide.Second chapter is the review and analysis virtualization techniques as well as available virtualization tools. Emulation, full virtualization, paravirtualization and OS virtualization are the four described techniques. Chapter ends choice from available tools and techniques with reasoning behind it.Third chapter describes installation process of the system who will serve as the host for virtual machines. Minimal system requirements for host are analysed here. Also proposition of using method called kickstart is introduced here, which is needed to automate installation process.Fourth chapter zooms how to prepare and integrate individual virtual machines for creation virtual environment. Examples of creating virtual machines based on Debian, Fedora, CentOS and Windows are introduced here. Also in chapter four Xen`s network model is discussed with utilization method based on written script that automate whole process of building and configuring virtual environment.Fifth chapter describes testing environment, which was create during this Master's thesis.Last one, sixth chapter sums whole Master`s thesis. Next possible ways of developing environment are introduced here as well.

The thesis presents detailed instructions for creating, configuring and maintaining virtual environment based on GNU/Linux operating system and software network tools. Such environment can be used for testing various configurations and performance of local area networks. Selected virtualization supervisors were examined, along with their network APIs and additional tools used for creating virtual switches and routers. Finally, wide area network simulation was conducted, using few common routing protocols.
Wirtualizacja jest obecnie jedną z najbardziej obiecujących i najszerzej wykorzystywanych technologii w informatyce. Uruchomienie wielu systemów operacyjnych na jednej fizycznej maszynie pozwala między innymi na stworzenie złożonego środowiska mogącego służyć do konfiguracji oraz testowania sieci zarówno lokalnych, jak i rozległych.Niniejsza praca przedstawia szczegółowe instrukcje zbudowania takiego środowiska w oparciu o system operacyjny GNU/Linux. Przedstawiono dostępne techniki wirtualizacji, omówiono rodzaje API sieciowego, a także programowe narzędzia sieciowe do tworzenia wirtualnych przełączników i routerów. Na koniec zaprezentowano przykładową symulację sieci rozległej opartej na kilku protokołach routingu.

The paper presents an application of an RT-family trust management language as a basis for an access control model. The discussion concerns a secure workstation running multiple virtual machines used to process sensitive information from multiple security domains, providing strict separation of the domains. The users may act in several different roles, with different access rights. The inference mechanisms of the language are used to translate credentials allowing users to access different functional domains, and assigning virtual machines to these domains into clear rules, regulating the rights of a particular user to a particular machine, taking into account different periods of validity of different credentials. The paper also describes a prototype implementation of the model.

This perspective brings out certain vital factors for efficient scheduling of resources providing a wide genre of characteristics, diversity in context of level of service agreements and that too with user-contingent elasticity. In this paper, a comprehensive survey of research related to various aspects of cloud resource scheduling is provided. Opis:
The paper describes the quality analysis of web services implemented in virtualised environment. It takes into account the reliability and performance aspects of software and hardware elements of the web service. The presented state-transitional model considers the reconfiguration process to maintain the continuity of business services. The reconfiguration is based in on the redeployment of virtual machines so for some time the system operates in a degraded state. Author propose two quality measures based on the web service availability and maximum handled requests calculated at each of degradation levels. Moreover, authors proposed to model the web service reliability parameters by fuzzy numbers. A method for calculating fuzzy membership functions of quality measures are also presented.

Opis:
The following study is based on the theoretical considerations and qualitative survey to develop hypotheses about the inflence of the new regime type – cyberdemocracy – on the management of the political party. This research provides important perspective on the role of strategic management in the context of political parties’ behaviour. Results from the study indicate the connection between the party’s position (competitive, market and strategic) and its key strategic choices. Using a grounded theory research method, adapted techniques of strategic analysis are proposed. The presented information expands the knowledge about the planning of marketing activities of the parties in the new communication environment.
zawarte w artykule badania zmierzające do weryfiacji hipotez dotyczących wpływy nowego typu ustroju – cyberdemokracji – na zarządzanie podmiotem politycznym oparto na rozważaniach teoretycznych, a także empirycznych badaniach jakościowych. Badania te ukazują istotną perspektywę zarządzania strategicznego w kontekście zachowań partii politycznych. Wyniki naukowych poszukiwań ukazują na związek między pozycją partii (konkurencyjną, rynkową i strategiczną) a jej kluczowymi strategicznymi wyborami. Pozyskane informacje poszerzają wiedzę na temat planowania działań marketingowych podmiotów na rynku politycznym w nowym środowisku komunikacyjnym.

Niniejsza praca przedstawia czym są procesy biznesowe, jaki ma to związek z przestrzenią biznesową, a także jakie problemy możemy napotkać. Kolejna część pokazuje jak możemy udoskonalić przedsiębiorstwo, co wpłynie na jego efektywność. Zostały zaprezentowane różne metody doskonalenia. W każdym procesie napotykamy również rozmaite bariery, zaczynając od organizacyjnych i prawnych, poprzez funkcjonalne i operacyjne, a kończąc na ekonomicznych. Najskuteczniejszą metodą w ich pokonaniu jest odpowiedni system zarządzania informatycznego. W czwartym rozdziale został przedstawiony projekt wirtualizacji przestrzeni biznesowej, który prezentuje funkcjonujący model przedsiębiorstwa, rekomendacje zmian oraz wynik badania.
There are many changes taking place in every enterprise; constantly growing competition forces us to constantly develop in order to stay in the leading market position. This work presents what business processes are, what it has to do with the business space, and what problems we may encounter. The next part shows how we can improve the company, which will affect its efficiency. Various methods of improvement will be presented. In each process, we also encounter various barriers, ranging from organizational and legal, through functional and operational, and ending with economic ones. The most effective method to overcome them is an appropriate IT management system. The fourth chapter presents the business space virtualization project, which presents the functioning model of the enterprise, recommendations for changes and the result of the study.

Pieniądz jest elementem gospodarki od wieków. Przez ten czas jego forma ewoluowała od prymitywnych produktów do banknotów i monet. Współcześnie coraz powszechniejsze staje się korzystanie z pieniądza elektronicznego, a nawet pieniądza wirtualnego. Pojawiają się zatem pytania, jak ten pieniądz działa, czy pełni takie same funkcje jak tradycyjny pieniądz i czy na pewno jest istotną alternatywą dla obecnie funkcjonującego pieniądza fiducjarnego. W tym kontekście rodzi się pytanie, czy system finansowy w obecnym kształcie może nadal funkcjonować, czy też będzie raczej ewoluować w kierunku systemu opartego na walucie wirtualnej. Celem opracowania jest próba przedstawienia pieniądza wirtualnego jako alternatywy dla tradycyjnego pieniądza oraz ewentualnych konsekwencji wynikających z jego ekspansji na rynku. Analiza zawarta w opracowaniu odnosi się przede wszystkim do warunków polskich.
Money has been an element of the economy for centuries. During this time, its form evolved from primitive items to banknotes and coins. Nowadays, the use of electronic money and even virtual money is becoming more and more common. Therefore, there appear the questions how this money works, whether it fulfills the same functions as traditional money and whether it is an important alternative to the currently operating fiat money. In this context, the question arises whether the financial system in its present shape may continue to function or whether it rather evolves towards a system based on virtual currency. The aim of the study is to present virtual money as an alternative to traditional money and possible consequences of its expansion on the market. The analysis included in the study refers primarily to Polish conditions.

Over the decades the rapid development of broadly defined computer technologies, both software and hardware is observed. Unfortunately, software solutions are regularly behind in comparison to the hardware. On the other hand, the modern systems are characterized by a high demand for computing resources and the need for customization for the end users. As a result, the traditional way of system construction is too expensive, inflexible and it doesn’t have high resources utilization. Present article focuses on the problem of effective use of available physical and virtual resources based on the OpenStack cloud computing platform. A number of conducted experiments allowed to evaluate computing resources utility and to analyze performance depending on the allocated resources. Additionally, the paper includes structural and functional analysis of the OpenStack cloud platform.

Processing massive data amounts and Big Data became nowadays one of the most significant problems in computer science. The difficulties with education on this field arise, the appropriate teaching methods and tools are needed. The processing of vast amounts of data arriving quickly requires the choice and arrangement of extended hardware platforms. In the paper we will show an approach for teaching students in Big Data and also the choice and arrangement of an appropriate programming platform for Big Data laboratories. Usage of an e-learning platform Moodle, a dedicated platform for teaching, could allow the teaching staff and students an improved contact with by enhancing mutually communication possibilities. We will show the preparation of Hadoop platform tools and Big Data cluster based on Cloudera and Ambari. The both solutions together could enable to cope with the problems in education of students in the field of Big Data.

The Software Defined Network (SDN) architecture provides new opportunities to implement security mechanisms in terms of unauthorized activities detection. At the same time, there are certain risks associated with this technology. The presented approach covers a conception of the measurement method, virtual testbed and classification mechanism for SDNs. The paper presents a measurement method which allows collecting network traffic flow parameters, generated by a virtual SDN environment. The collected dataset can be used in machine learning methods to detect unauthorized activities.

Ostatnie dwudziestolecie przyniosło istotne zmiany w handlu detalicznym za sprawą postępującej wirtualizacji życia społeczno-gospodarczego. Jednym z najważniejszych współkreatorów zmian jest konsument bezpośrednio zaangażowany w przebieg procesów handlowych w przedsiębiorstwie. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie zjawiska zaangażowania konsumentów w wirtualizację handlu, które przejawia się m.in. w koncepcji masowej kastomizacji czy crowdsoursingu. W części poznawczej opisano koncepcję i istotę zaangażowania konsumentów w proces wirtualizacji handlu. W części badawczej przedstawiono przykład przedsiębiorstwa wykorzystującego zaangażowanie konsumentów do wytyczania kierunków przyjmowanych rozwiązań w handlu elektronicznym, które stają się przesłanką do budowy przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstwa na rynku.
The last decade has brought remarkable changes in retail trade resulting from progressing virtualisation of socio-economic life. A customer who is directly engaged in the course of commercial processes observed in an enterprise is one of the most important co-creators of the changes in question. The article aims at presenting customers engagement in virtualisation of commerce that is manifested, inter alia, in the concept of mass customisation or crowdsourcing. In the cognitive part, the concept and nature of customers engagement in the process of virtualisation of commerce was described. In the research part, the case studies analysis were carried out. The case studies focused on an enterprises, that employed customer engagement to direct adopted e-commerce solutions in order to obtain competitive advantage on the market.

The thesis discusses tools for backup management in the most popular virtual environments. They are VirtualBox, KVM, VMWare Workstation, Hyper-V, XenServer and some native tools of Linux. One considers functionalities by means of which it is possible to build efficient policies in the area of backup management. Furthermore, the author develops scripts that centralize functionalities and automates backup management. The conclusion that arises from the thesis is that virtual environments provide tools to build backup management policies but require a structured and systematic approach of the system administrator.
Praca dyskutuje narzędzia do zarządzania kopiami zapasowymi w najbardziej popularnych środowiskach wirtualnych. Są nimi VirtualBox, KVM, VMware Workstation, Hyper-V, XenServer oraz natywne narzędzia Linuxa. Pod uwagę wzięte są funkjonalności przy pomocy, których możliwe jest budowanie skutecznych polityk zarządzania kopiami bezpieczeństwa. Ponadto autor rozwija skrypty centralizujące te funkcjonalności i umożliwiające zarządzanie kopiami bezpieczeństwa. Główne wnioski płynące z pracy to fakt, że środowiska wirtualne dostarczają funkcjonalności, które umożliwiają budowanie polityk zarządzania kopiami zapasowymi, lecz wymagają ustruktyryzowanego i systematyczngo podejścia administratora systemu.

It is for some time now that we have experienced an information revolution. Its effects still make up the subject that is full of present interest and requires further research because on that occasion we deal with the reality that is subject to dynamic changes whose further developments are hard to foresee. The current attempts that are made in order to estimate the situation are of deep sense since they lay foundations for conscious management of the course of developments. In this context therefore we may say that a significant field which currently is affected by the transformation is the report-making. In the present contribution there has been put forth a thesis that there exists a high degree of concordance of interests of accounting offices and their clients when viewed from the perspective of still continued information revolution. The above problem was discussed while relying on the questionnaire-based research made in the milieu of accounting offices.
Analiza skutków dokonującej się od pewnego już czasu rewolucji informacyjnej jest tematem nadal aktualnym, wymagającym dalszych badań. Mamy tu bowiem do czynienia z rzeczywistością ulegającą dynamicznym zmianom, a kres tego procesu jest trudny do przewidzenia. Nabierają zatem głębokiego sensu bieżące próby oceny sytuacji, gdyż dają podstawę do świadomego kierowania rozwojem wydarzeń. W tym kontekście jednym z ważnych obszarów, który aktualnie podlega transformacji, jest sprawozdawczość. W rozważaniach przyjęto tezę, iż istnieje wysoki stopień zgodności interesów biur rachunkowych i ich klientów z perspektywy trwającej rewolucji informacyjnej. Zagadnienie to zostało scharakteryzowane w oparciu o wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w środowisku biur rachunkowych.

This paper presents a concept, developed and tested by the authors, of a virtualisation environment enabling the protection of aggregated data through the use of high availability (HA) of IT systems. The presented solution allows securing the central database system and virtualised server machines by using a scalable environment consisting of physical servers and disk arrays. The authors of this paper focus on ensuring the continuity of system operation and on minimising the risk of failures related to the availability of the operational data analysis system.
Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia koncepcję środowiska wirtualizacyjnego umożliwiającego zabezpieczenie agregowanych danych poprzez zastosowanie wysokiej dostępności (HA) systemów informatycznych. Przedstawione rozwiązanie pozwala zabezpieczyć centralny system bazodanowy oraz zwirtualizowane maszyny serwerowe poprzez wykorzystanie skalowalnego środowiska składającego się z fizycznych serwerów oraz macierzy dyskowych. Autorzy pracy skupiają się na zapewnieniu ciągłości działania systemów oraz na minimalizacji ryzyka awarii związanych z dostępnością systemu analizy danych eksploatacyjnych.

More and more frequently companies decide to get rid of certain functions of their structures by using outside firms to provide components and services. Outsourcing, very popular in recent years, has the purpose of reducing spendings in departments of a company. However, it this goal achieved? Often, such cost reduction is connected with the dependence of the customer on the supplier - which can, in the long run, globally contribute to raising costs. Will such delegation of certain responsibilities not cause a significant danger of losing its independence and a gradual increase in spendings in such a way that, in a broader perspective, they will be much higher than the costs before outsourcing? What will happen when a company dependent on its supplier or provider wants to pass another or a different company a particular job? Furthermore, if the company management decided to dispense with the services offered by a third party - would we be able to import the data that we receive into any other system? The compilation is an attempt at familiarizing the reader with the meaning of Cloud computing, as well as the concepts directly related to it. An attempt has been made to systemise the knowledge of the subject and present the main premises and hazards that are associated with the implementation of solution.

Don DeLillo’s White Noise depicts a world of rapid techno-scientific and economical changes. Paul Virilio’s concepts of dromology and speed, as well as his notions of accident and technology, seem to be the most relevant in order to examine a novel centrally concerned with change, speed and technology. This article first offers an analysis of White Noise in the light of Virilio’s concept of integral accident in relation to the negative consequences brought about by industrial and technological progress. This is followed by a discussion of the relevance to the novel of Virilio’s theories about architecture and space. Finally, Virilio’s theories about the replacement of conventional war with pure and info wars are discussed in the context of the central event of the novel. Reading the American writer through the lens of the French theorist can shed light on the enduring relevance of both.

Opis:
A methodology for development for distributed computer network (DCN) information security system (IS) for an informatization object (OBI) was proposed. It was proposed to use mathematical modeling at the first stage of the methodology. In particular, a mathematical model was presented based on the use of the apparatus of probability theory to calculate the vulnerability coefficient. This coefficient allows one to assess the level of information security of the OBI network. Criteria for assessing the acceptable and critical level of risks for information security were proposed as well. At the second stage of the methodology development of the IS DCN system, methods of simulation and virtualization of the components of the IS DCN were used. In the course of experimental studies, a model of a protected DCN has been built. In the experimental model, network devices and DCN IS components were emulated on virtual machines (VMs). The DCN resources were reproduced using the Proxmox VE virtualization system. IPS Suricata was deployed on RCS hosts running PVE. Splunk was used as SIEM. It has been shown that the proposed methodology for the formation of the IS system for DCN and the model of the vulnerability coefficient makes it possible to obtain a quantitative assessment of the levels of vulnerability of DCN OBI.

The term "virtual organization" has emerged in practice and management theory in the early nineties of the twentieth century. This concept does not have a uniform definition. It is dominated by two main approaches: procedural and structural. The first approach refers to the operations and activities of the organization (processes), and the second focuses on the structure of the organization, its components and interconnections among these elements. A continuous evolution of this concept is also the result of the lack of a uniform definition of the organization as well as economic and business practices associated with the use of such structures. The aim of this paper is to present the author's research results in the diagnosis of the current situation and proposals to implement the concept of virtual supply chains in online stores.

Artykuł omawia problematykę prac naukowo-badawczych dotyczących adaptowalnych reflektywnych systemów warstw pośredniczących. Prace te koncentrują się na mechanizmach zarządzania zwirtualizowanymi zasobami komputerowymi oraz ich monitorowaniu. Przedstawione rozważania zilustrowano kilkoma przykładami systemów zrealizowanych w Katedrze Informatyki AGH. The paper describes research activity related to the adaptable reflective middleware. These studies focus on virtualization mechanisms of computer resources and their monitoring. The presented considerations are illustrated by a few examples of the systems implemented at the Department of Computer Science at AGH UST. These systems concern monitoring and adaptive management of Grid systems infrastructure and Solaris 10 virtualized resources, among others.

This paper describes the performance of various methods of QoS assurance for each connection in an environment composed of virtual networks and dedicate end-to-end connections inside them. The authors worked on the basis of research conducted with the use of the authorial network management system named Executed Management, which uses resources virtualization platforms VMware and Mininet for testing purposes. We briefly describe our system and techniques we used and some alternatives we tested and discarded because of their limitations. Functionality and performance of proposed solution to widespread implemented mechanisms as OpenFlow and MPLS are compared. Reasons for selecting well-known techniques to isolate networks and limit bandwidth on different levels of virtualization are considered. The purpose of this paper is to show out our studies and performance we achieved.

Możliwość wykorzystania zaawansowanych technologii informacyjnych, Internetu oraz urządzeń mobilnych ma ogromny wpływ na zmianę zachowań współczesnych konsumentów. Zmiany te dotyczą nie tylko sposobu dokonywania zakupów w ramach stacjonarnych form handlu, ale przede wszystkim przyczyniają się do wirtualizacji zachowań nabywczych konsumentów. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja przejawów oraz rozpoznanie skali wirtualizacji wybranych elementów zachowań konsumentów, a także przybliżenie istoty zjawiska domocentryzmu, jego powszechności w polskim społeczeństwie. Jako metodę badawczą służącą do realizacji tego celu wybrano badania wtórne polegające na analizie informacji z zakresu marketingu, zarządzania i psychologii oraz wyników badań niezależnych agencji badawczych.
The possibility of using advanced information technologies, the Internet and mobile devices has a huge impact on changing the behavior of modern consumers. These changes concern not only the method of making purchases as a part of stationary forms of trade, but above all they contribute to the virtualization of consumer purchasing behavior. The aim of the article is to identify manifestations and recognize the scale of virtualization of selected elements of consumer behavior and to bring the essence of home-centrism, its popularity among Polish society. As a research method used to achieve this goal, secondary research was selected consisting of the analysis of information in the field of marketing, management and psychology as well as research results of independent research agencies.

One of the most popular forms of implementing accounting tasks (especially in the case of SMEs) is to outsource them to specialized external entities. Even though the range of these tasks is clearly defined by law, organizational and technical solutions may vary. One of the more significant trends in this area is progressive virtualization of the information flow which, among other things, allows for improved communication with customers. The article is part of these considerations. It presents the results of questionnaire research whose aim was to determine the attractiveness of virtualization of communication with customers and the need of providers of accounting services to modernize their IT systems. The study was conducted among 114 respondents from southern Poland. The results show that the attractiveness of virtualisation of accounting services is assessed at a relatively high level.

Paper presents selected management information systems in the railway industry companies arising from the transformation of the Polish State Railways into PKP Group. Hardware and software solutions used by this systems and benefits of implement them are also pointed out. Takes into account the areas of financial management as well as the areas of operational management, specific for their activities. These issues are presented in the context of technology and economy. It has been proved that the organizational solutions imply the impossibility of efficient use of resources allocated to information systems due to consummate the benefits of consolidation, virtualization and cloud computing is impossible.

Virtualization of physical network devices is a relatively new technology, that allows to improve the network organization and gives new possibilities for Software Defined Networking (SDN). Network virtualization is also commonly used for testing and debugging environments, before implementing new designs in production networks. Important aspect of network virtualization is selecting virtual platform and technology, that offer maximal performance with minimal physical resource utilization. This article presents a comparative analysis of performance of the virtual network created by the virtual CSR1000v and virtual machines running Windows 8.1 on two different virtual private cloud platforms: VMware vSphere 5.5 and Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 R2. In such prepared testbed we study the response time (delay) and throughput of virtual network devices.

Celem artykułu jest próba praktycznej identyfikacji zjawiska wirtualizacji działalności gospodarczej i jego egzemplifikacja na przykładzie przedsiębiorstw w Polsce. Organizacja wirtualna traktowana jest jako specyficzna forma współpracy przedsiębiorstw i organizowania działalności gospodarczej. W części teoretycznej artykułu zdefiniowano i scharakteryzowano organizację wirtualną i omówiono istotę jej funkcjonowania. W części praktycznej przedstawiono wyniki dwóch autorskich badań, dotyczących kwestii wyrażonej w tytule opracowania. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników podjęto próbę identyfikacji poziomu i profilu wirtualizacji przedsiębiorstw realizujących działalność gospodarczą na terenie Polski.
The aim of this article is to identify the phenomenon of virtualisation of economic activity and its exemplification on the example of companies in Poland. Virtual organization is considered as a specific form of cooperation and organization of economic activity. The theoretical part of the article presents the essence of the virtual organization’s functioning and its characteristics. The practical part of the article presents the results of two research about virtual organizations. Based on the obtained data, an attempt was made to identify the level and profile of the virtualization of the companies pursuing their activities within the territory of Poland, participating in the research.

More and more frequent manifestation of virtualization of youth behaviors is satisfying needs by the Internet available through the mobile phone. The purpose of this article is characterization of young consumers’ behaviors connected with using the Internet in such a way as well as carrying out their typology. The conducted analysis allowed for creation of consumers’ typology for which k-means method was used. There were identifid 4 consumers’ categories: “Sociables”, “Intense users”, “Reserved” and “Non-users of the Internet”. The basis for achieving mentioned aims are outcomes of the poll conducted in the 2013/2014 school year among youths aged 14–19.
Coraz częściej spotykanym przejawem wirtualizacji zachowań młodzieży jest zaspokajanie przez nią potrzeb za pomocą Internetu dostępnego w telefonach komórkowych. W artykule przyjęto dwa cele. Pierwszym jest scharakteryzowanie tych zachowań młodych konsumentów, które są związane z korzystaniem z mobilnego Internetu. Drugim przeprowadzenie typologii młodych konsumentów ze względu na zakres i sposób wykorzystywania przez nich telefonu komórkowego do łączenia się z Internetem. W wyniku przeprowadzenia typologii zidentyfikowano wśród młodzieży 4 typy: towarzyskich, powściągliwych, intensywnych użytkowników Internetu oraz niekorzystających z Internetu.  Podstawę dla realizacji tych celów stanowią informacje pochodzące z badań ankietowych przeprowadzanych w roku szkolnym 2013/2014 wśród młodzieży w wieku od 14 do 19 lat.

This work analyses the performance of Hadoop, an implementation of the MapReduce programming model for distributed parallel computing, executing on a virtualisation environment comprised of 1+16 nodes running the VMWare workstation software. A set of experiments using the standard Hadoop benchmarks has been designed in order to determine whether or not significant reductions in the execution time of computations are experienced when using Hadoop on this virtualisation platform on a departmental cloud. Our findings indicate that a significant decrease in computing times is observed under these conditions. They also highlight how overheads and virtualisation in a distributed environment hinder the possibility of achieving the maximum (peak) performance.

Praca porusza zagadnienie projektu i implementacji sieci komputerowej w środowisku korporacyjnym. Jej pierwsza część porusza teoretyczne aspekty dotyczące protokołów i mechanizmów wykorzystywanych w takich sieciach. Dalsze rozdziały opisują proces uruchomienia i konfiguracji środowiska wykorzystanego do uruchomienia symulowanego projektu. W końcowym rozdziale przedstawiona jest krok po kroku konfiguracja urządzeń sieciowych pracujących w kolejnych warstwach hierarchicznego modelu sieci komputerowej, według którego projekt został stworzony.Praktyczna część pracy została zrealizowana przy użyciu oprogramowania GNS3 (wersja 2.0.1) służącego do projektowania i symulowanie wirtualnych sieci komputerowych pracujących przy użyciu obrazów rzeczywistych urządzeń i systemów operacyjnych. Maszyny wirtualne pracowały pod kontrolą oprogramowaina VirtualBox (wersja 5.1.22). Komputer na którym projekt został stworzony, pracował pod kontrolą systemu operacyjnego Windws 10 1607 (Anniversary Update) w wersji 64-bitowej.
Thesis discusses design and implementation of computer network in corporate environment. Its first part is about theoretical aspects of protocols and mechanisms used in such networks. Further units describe installation and configuration process of environment used to launch simulated project. The last unit characterizes the step-by-step configuration of network devices working in each network layer of the network hierarchical concept on which whole project is based.The practical part of thesis had been done using GNS3 software (version 2.0.1) which serves as tool to simulate virtual networks working with real devices images and operating systems. Virtual machines were supported by VirtualBox software (version 5.1.22). Computer used to create whole project was working under Windows 10 1607 (Anniversary Update) operating system in 64-bit variant.

At present we witness far-reaching changes in the field of an exchange of information as occurring both within a certain organization as well as between the organization and its environment. The right recognition of this process may contribute to its faster optimization and conscious management thereof. The area of report making is one of those that are more essential for the right functioning of any economic unit in the economic system that is implemented in our country. The author sets forward a thesis that, due to the observed changes, the units that are obliged to report making, incline to being mindful of the development of technical parameters of the communication which occurs within the frame of duties these units are required to perform. What exemplifies this thesis are the invoked results of the research that was made in the milieu of accountancy bureaus that constitute a crucial element in the discussed process.
Aktualnie jesteśmy świadkami daleko idących zmian w obszarze wymiany informacji zarówno wewnątrz organizacji jak tez pomiędzy nią i jej otoczeniem. Właściwe rozpoznanie tego procesu może przyczynić się do jego szybszej optymalizacji, świadomego nim zarządzania. Sfera sprawozdawczości jest jedną z istotniejszych dla właściwego funkcjonowania każdego podmiotu gospodarczego w stosowanym w naszym kraju systemie ekonomicznym. Autor stawia tezę, iż obserwowane przemiany skłaniają podmioty zobligowane do składania sprawozdań do dbałości o rozwój technicznych parametrów komunikacji mającej miejsce w ramach realizacji spoczywających na nich obciążeń. Egzemplifikacją owej tezy są przytaczane wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w środowisku biur rachunkowych stanowiących kluczowe ogniwo w tego typu procesie.

The publication concerns the specifics of work in a virtual system and knowledge management at selected Higher Universities in Poland. This way of performing duties is becoming more and more popular and even required by cooperators from the near and distant environment. Universities should demonstrate flexibility in this area by adapting their work system to current trends and standards. The aim of the article is to describe some aspects related to the virtual work of academic teachers and the need to apply knowledge management in the long-term functional organization. The adopted hypothesis assumes that there will be intensification of processes related to virtualization of work at universities. The qualitative method was used to collect empirical data in the form of casual interviews. Up to now, interviews with academics have been conducted with three selected Polish universities (Academy of Social Sciences, University of Lodz, School of Finance and Management), overall thirty-seven workers took part in the research. A secondary analysis method was also used, consisting of a review of literature on the subject of national and international scope. The results of the publication are pilot studies, which are a prelude to further research covering both teachers and people managing science and didactic facilities in major voivodship cities in Poland.
Publikacja dotyczy specyfiki pracy w systemie wirtualnym i zarządzania wiedzą w wybranych wyższych uczelniach w Polsce. Ten sposób wykonywania obowiązków staje się coraz bardziej popularny, a nawet wymagany przez współpracowników z bliższego i dalszego środowiska. Uczelnie powinny wykazać elastyczność w tej dziedzinie, dostosowując swój system pracy do obecnych tendencji i standardów. Celem artykułu jest opisanie niektórych aspektów związanych z wirtualną pracą nauczycieli oraz potrzebą zastosowania zarządzania wiedzą w długoterminowej organizacji i funkcjonowaniu podmiotów akademickich. Przyjęta hipoteza zakłada, że nastąpi intensyfikacja procesów związanych z wirtualizacją pracy na uczelniach. Do zebrania danych empirycznych wykorzystano metodę jakościową w formie wywiadów swobodnych. Przeprowadzono wywiady z pracownikami akademickimi z trzech wyselekcjonowanych polskich placówek wyższych (Społecznej Akademii Nauk, Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego i Wyższej Szkoły Finansów i Zarządzania), w badaniu wzięło udział ogółem 37 pracowników. Zastosowano również metodę analizy wtórnej, polegającą na przeglądzie literatury przedmiotu o zasięgu krajowym i międzynarodowym. Rezultatem publikacji są badania pilotażowe, które  stanowią wstęp do dalszych badań obejmujących zarówno nauczycieli, jak i osoby zarządzające obiektami naukowo-dydaktycznymi w głównych miastach wojewódzkich w Polsce.

Jednym z głównych przejawów rozwoju przedsiębiorstw jest wykorzystanie w procesie rekrutacji narzędzi opartych na technologii cyfrowej oraz sztucznej inteligencji. Dzięki temu cały proces pozyskiwania pracowników oraz rekruterów uległ modyfikacjom. W opracowaniu szczególną uwagę poświęcono wpływie technologii cyfrowej oraz sztucznej inteligencji na funkcjonowanie przedsiębiorstw, zwłaszcza w zakresie rekrutacji pracowników. Przeprowadzono również analizę użyteczności programów opartych na sztucznej inteligencji i stosunku rekruterów wobec nich. Bez wątpienia należy stwierdzić, iż zaprezentowane rozwiązania stanowią szansę na poprawę jakości procesu rekrutacji jak i budzą pewne obawy wśród rekruterów. Całość pracy kończy analiza wyników ankiety dotyczącej stopnia wykorzystania sztucznej inteligencji w przeprowadzeniu procesu rekrutacji.
One of the main manifestations of the development of enterprises is the use of tools based on digital technology and artificial intelligence in the recruitment process. As a result, the entire process of acquiring employees and recruiters has been modified. The study focuses on the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on the functioning of enterprises, especially in the field of employee recruitment. An analysis of the usefulness of artificial intelligence programs and the attitude of recruiters towards them was also carried out. The presented solutions are an opportunity to improve the quality of the recruitment process but they also raise some concerns among recruiters. The thesis ends with the analysis of the results of the survey on the degree of use of artificial intelligence in the recruitment process.

In the contemporary world, individuals and communities from different cultures communicate with their local and international partners through virtual space nearly as often as they speak across their desktops, thereby creating a hybrid communicative space. Discursive theories allow us to capture at least some of these relationships; we may understand the processes of openings and closings, or the transfer and reconfiguration of specific cultural patterns, even those occurring within the same culture. Critical discourse studies allow us to question the specificity of an interaction in a space with a differing ontological status. They reveal the deep structures of this discourse in spheres of reality and hybrid space; they may also inspire multidisciplinary research and the formulation of fundamental issues in the study of hybrid reality and help explicate transgressive features of the hybrid and intercultural spaces.

Niebezpieczeństwa wirtualizacji życia i wartości w cyberprzestrzeni. W niniejszych badaniach chcemy zwrócić uwagę na to, jak cyberprzestrzeń wraz ze swoimi aplikacjami stała się generatorem procesów wirtualizacji i cyfryzacji społeczeństwa, tworząc nową jakość tej przestrzeni. Zanurzenie w przestrzeni cyfrowej nie jest procesem jednorodnym, ale raczej platformą wyrażającą wiele procesów i przemian. Zmiany te dotyczą prawie każdej sfery życia człowieka, sfery prywatnej i publicznej, kulturalnej, religijnej, wychowawczej, ekonomicznej, politycznej. W ślad za rozwojem technologii cyfrowych powinna iść zarówno teoretyczna, jak i praktyczna refleksja nad jej wpływem na człowieka, a także liczne badania dotyczące powszechnego zastosowania nowych relacji człowieka do rzeczywistości wirtualnej i cyberprzestrzeni. Analizy zostały przeprowadzone na podstawie dostępnej literatury przedmiotu, uzupełnionej artykułami dostępnymi w sieci.
Dangers of virtualization of life and values in cyberspace. In this study we would like to highlight how the cyberspace with its applications became the generator of virtualization processes and society digitization creating new value of this space. Embedding in cyberspace is not a homogeneous process but a platform which expresses a lot of processes and changes. These changes concern almost every sphere of life, public and private sphere, cultural, religious, educational, economic, political. In the wake of development of digital technologies there ought to be theoretical and practical reflection about its influence on human as well as numerous research concerning common application of new human relations to the virtual reality and cyberspace. Analysis is based on available related literature supplemented with web accessible articles.
