Opis:: In the present study, plastic geoboards and accessories were created as geometry teaching tools for visually-impaired students, using 3D printing. Lines, shapes, and angles were illustrated by stretching rubber bands around rivet heads on a geoboard with square edge of 10 x 10 grid array and circular edge of 4-quadrant graph. The coordinate points of 2D geometry were explored by blind touch on braille scales and raised grid lines, while z-axis pillars were used for 3D geometry by connecting rubber bands to the plane. The experimental group revealed significantly more learning achievement than did the control group, and all participants agreed that the new geoboards enhanced the mental imagery and understanding of geometry.

Opis:: The text contains an analysis of the competence of a special education teacher, with particular emphasis on the competence of one working as a teacher assistant with blind and visually impaired students. It attempts to answer the question of what competence a teacher assistant should have. On the one hand, this competence must be a response to the current needs of students with visual impairments, their teachers and parents. In line with the current approach to inclusive education, the teacher assistant who works with visually impaired students should be equipped with a whole array of competences, especially a number of highly specialised ones. On the other hand, taking into account e.g. creative and ethical competences, universities educating future teachers of the kind are not able to equip graduates with full competences.

Stan i potrzeby badań w tyfloglottodydaktyce polonistycznej.

Opis:: Summary of the MA thesis entitled „State of art and possible ways of research in Polish language typhloglottodidactics”The purpose of this diploma thesis was to verify the current state of research on Polish typhloglottodidactics and to present the problems faced by blind and visually impaired students learning Polish as a foreign language.The first part of the paper contains a state of art in the field of international typhloididactics. It also focus on the characteristics of blind and visually impaired student and problems that appear in the process of teaching a foreign language to visualy impaired people.The second part of the thesis is the analysis of empirical research based on the surveys with blind and visually impaired foreigners who learned Polish, either on their own or during organized courses. The respondents answered, among others, questions about motivation to learn Polish, problems associated with it, learning method and the materials they used. The purpose of analyzing surveys was to show what should be done to facilitate the process of learning a foreign language for visualy impaired people.
Streszczenie pracy magisterskiej pt. „Stan i potrzeby badań w tyfloglottodydaktyce polonistycznej”Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej było sprawdzenie aktualnego stanu badań dotyczących tyfloglottodydaktyki polonistycznej oraz przedstawienie problemów, z jakimi mierzą się osoby niewidome i słabowidzące, uczące się języka polskiego jako obcego. W pierwszej części pracy umieszczono przegląd literatury z zakresy tyflodydaktyki międzynarodowej, skupiono się na charakterystyce ucznia niewidomego i słabowidzącego oraz problemach, które pojawiają się w procesie nauczania języka obcego osób z dysfunkcją wzroku. Druga część pracy to analiza badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych za pomocą ankiet z niewidomymi i słabowidzącymi cudzoziemcami, którzy nauczyli się języka polskiego, samodzielnie lub na zorganizowanych kursach. Ankietowani odpowiadali m.in. na pytania dotyczące motywacji do nauki języka polskiego, problemów z nią związanych, sposobu nauki oraz materiałów, z jakich korzystali. Analiza ankiet miała na celu pokazanie, co należy zrobić, aby ułatwić proces nauki języka obcego osobom z dysfunkcją wzroku.

Opis:: The article deals with a phased approach to the development of information competence of future teachers of visually impaired, which was implemented in teaching students of "Special education (pedagogy for the blind)." General pedagogical and special literature about the introduction of the latest computer technologies in educational process of secondary and higher education was analyzed, as well as the level of development of this in Ukraine. The interpretation of the concepts of "computer training", "information and computer competence of tiflopedagog" and "readiness to use the latest computer technology by future teachers" was high lighted. The content of training in computer technology was identified and justified for the future teachers of visually impaired, which is a system of information and disciplines of computer sphere, associated with the study of the multifaceted phenomenon of information technologies, as well as the patterns and characteristics of its manifestations in various spheres of professional work of teachers of visually impaired. The efficiency of a phased approach is shown on training of students of the Faculty of Correctional Pedagogy and Psychology of National Pedagogic University named after N.P. Dragomanov.
