Opis:: W pracy przedstawiono problemy wytwarzania efektywnych aplikacji rozproszonych ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wytwarzania zorientowanego na integrację komponentów. Opisano metody komunikacji stosowane w aplikacjach rozproszonych oraz architektury oprogramowania, takie jak: SOA, ESB i SCA. Metody komunikacji obejmują standardy usług sieciowych XML Web services oraz RESTful Web services. Ponadto opisano wykorzystanie interfejsu programistycznego API jako nadbudowy nad usługami sieciowymi, dzięki czemu możliwe jest korzystanie z usług sieciowych realizowanych w dowolnej technologii. Wskazano na rosnąca popularność RESTful Web services wynikającą między innymi z lepszych osiągów wydajnościowych i elastycznej konfiguracji.
The paper presents integration oriented development methods of effective distributed applications. Existing software architectures were described including: SOA, ESB and SCA. Methods of distributed communication and integration were analyzed and compared. Described methods cover XML Web services and RESTful Web services. Additionally, the approach based on Application Programming Interface (API) was described as a method of integration that allows to use different low level communication mechanisms. It was noticed that RESTful Web services become more popular in use compared to XML Web services because of better performance and easier configuration.

Jako przykładowa aplikacja została stworzona strona e-commerce reprezentująca prosty sklep internetowy. W ramach pracy została opisana Skalowalność jako cecha systemów komputerowych, czytelnik ma również możliwość zapoznania się z metodami jej oceny. W kolejnych rozdziałach scharakteryzowana zostaje sama chmura obliczeniowa na przykładzie platformy Amazon Web Services. Ostatecznie opisana zostaje sama architektura stworzonej aplikacji i jej implementacja. Stworzona aplikacje zostaje oceniona pod względem możliwości skalowania. Dodatkowo zostały zamieszczone wnioski dotyczące tworzenia aplikacji internetowej z wykorzystaniem chmury obliczeniowej.
This master thesis aims at presenting a possible way of creating a scalable web application with the use of services offered on a cloud platform. As an example application, a simple e-commerce shop was developed. Within the thesis reader can find a description of Scalability as an attribute of a computer system, also thesis covers two possibilities of estimation of Scalability. Based on Amazon Web Services, the following chapters cover the characteristics of the cloud computing platform itself. Also, the architecture and implementation of the created application are covered. In the end, the scalability of the example application created for the needs of the thesis is being estimated. Additionally, the author shares his thoughts from the process of the development process.

Opis:: The paper proposes a method to cover the world of web services with a uniform semantics, possibly simple but enabling to arrange complex flows of service invocations. The flows are built according to fully declarative user's intentions, specified in a language common for the descriptions of services and for the query. In the approach we model the world of services and of the subjects they operate on using a uniform knowledge database and an objectoriented manner. The current work describes the first phase of the composition: making an abstract plan, i.e., giving an answer how (with what types of services) the required effect can be obtained. The problem of creating a plan is converted to building a specialized graph.

Opis:: Web services umożliwiają dodanie przydatnych funkcjonalnosci do aplikacji webowej bez potrzeby pisania, testowania i zarządzania dużą ilością kodu. Jest to osiągane poprzez wykorzystanie usług stron trzecich, takich jak Clickatell (bramka SMS), FlightStats (monitorowanie lotów komercyjnych) i wiele innych. W dodatku można oferować web service dla klientów którzy wolą nie korzystać z graficznego interfejsu użytkownika aplikacji webowej, tak jak to jest w przypadku SOAP serwera iMedevac'a.
Web services can help introduce powerful features to a web application without the significant time investment usually associated with development, testing and maintenance of such features. This is done by using third party services such as Clickatell (SMS gateway), FlightStats (commercial flight tracking) and many others. Additionally it is possible to offer a web service for customers who don't want to use the graphical user interface of the web application, as is the case with iMedevac's SOAP server.

Opis:: The article presents the issues of recommendation services for users. The commonly used solutions shown include known classes of recommendation systems and information about their area of use and the most frequently used algorithms. The issue of choosing the services has been described based on the Wiki-WS platform including a model of cooperation with the recommendation system. The conclusion from the analysis of the proposed model and available algorithms is that there is a need to create a hybrid service recommendation algorithm in order to fulfill the requirements of those using a service platform like Wiki-WS.

Warto nadmienić, że warstwa prezentacji została zaimplementowana w technologii Flex z użyciem języka ActionScript. Do współpracy Javy z Flex została wykorzystana usługa Web Services.
The theme of the thesis is a system of registration fees for studies, implemented in the Java programming language, and Flex. The system is based on J2EE technology (Java Platform, Enterprise Edition) and the professional tools necessary to design the architecture. It is worth mentioning that the presentation layer is implemented in Flex using ActionScript language. To cooperate between Java and Flex was used Web Services.
