Opis:
Welding process is basic joining technique in shipbuilding. Such method generated welding distortions which cause a lot of problems during the manufacturing process. In the literature it is proposed wide spectrum of suggestions for a correct estimation of welding deformation in particular angular deformation in the fillet welded T joint. In the work influence of oversizing of weld on angular distortions of joint is presented basing upon of the results of the laboratory measurements. Values determined on the basis of literature hypotheses are compared with the one obtained from the laboratory test.

Opis:
Fusion welding of Ti-Cu is difficult because of big difference of melting points and formation of brittle intermetallic compounds. Friction stir welding is carried out by solid-state joining, thermo-mechanical stirring, and friction heat. Ti-Cu FSW dissimilar welding can supply a very sound joint area with a few intermetallic compounds. Optimized welding process conditions are essential to obtain suitable microstructure and mechanical properties of welded zones. Different welding speeds affect the evolution of microstructure and mechanical properties due to changes of input heat and internal stored deformation energy. The correlation of microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-Cu welded zone according to welding speeds were investigated and analyzed. As the higher the welding speed, the lower the heat input and the lower the temperature rise. Ti-Cu 75 has the smallest grain size at 13.9 μm, but the optimum mechanical properties and the integrity of welding were shown in Ti-Cu 50.

Opis:
The article presents the process of production of coated electrodes and their welding properties. The factors concerning the welding properties and the currently applied method of assessing are given. The methodology of the testing based on measuring and recording of instantaneous values of welding current and welding arc voltage is discussed. The article presents the application of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) for the analysis of instantaneous values of welding current and welding arc voltage. The results of coated electrodes welding properties are compared. Finally the conclusions drawn from the research are presented.
Omówiono proces produkcji elektrod otulonych oraz ich wymagane właściwości spawalnicze. Przedstawiono wskaźniki właściwości spawalniczych oraz stosowaną dotychczas metodykę oceny. Omówiono metodyką badań polegającą na pomiarze i rejestracji wartości chwilowych natężenia prądu spawania i napięcia łuku spawalniczego. Przedstawiono sposób wykorzystania Szybkiej Transformaty Fouriera (FFT) do analizy wartości chwilowych natężenia prądu spawania i napięcia łuku spawalniczego. Zestawiono wyniki badań właściwości spawalniczych elektrod otulonych. Zaprezentowano wnioski z wykonanych badań.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badania stężeń i rozkładów wymiarowych cząstek emitowanych do środowiska pracy podczas spawania stali kwasoodpornej elektrodami o symbolu OK 61.30/308L-17. Badania wykonane metodą filtracyjno-wagową (próbniki typu PCIS) oraz metodami optycznymi (AERO-TRAK, GRIMM, DUST-TRAK) wykazały, że podczas całego dnia pracy spawacz może być narażony na zmienne ilości cząstek z reguły o wymiarach poniżej 10 µ m, przy czym dymy spawalnicze zwykle zawierają znaczne ilości cząstek ultradrobnych i drobnych o wymiarach poniżej 1 µm.
This article presents the results of an investigation of concentrations and size distribution of partides emitted into the work environment during welding of acid-resistant steel with OK 61.30/308L17 electrodes. lnvestigations carried out with gravimetric (PCIS samplers) and with optical (AERO-TRAK, GRIMM, DUST-TRAK) methods have shown that during the whole work day a welder can become exposed to various amounts of partides usually with a diameter under 10 μm however, welding fumes contain considerable amounts of ultrafine and fine partides with a diameter under 1 μm.

Opis:
The welding process is the basic technique of joining in the shipbuilding industry. This method generates welding distortions that cause a lot of problems during the manufacturing process due to both the time and cost of straightening as well as their influence on later stages of production. Proper preparation of welding processes plays a growing role in the shipbuilding industry and the development of calculating tools is being observed. The paper presents a review and critical analysis of numerical methods for the assessment of welding distortion.

Opis:
The main purposes of this study were to select a photochromic dye and to develop an active welding filter with a photochromic layer. A series of functionalized spirobenzopyranoindolins were synthesized and their photophysical and photochemical properties were investigated in a solution using absorption and emission spectroscopy. Time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy measurements were used to characterize the decays and rate constants of fluorescence emission. One dye was selected as a suitable photoactive compound in automatic welding filters. A model of an active welding filter with a photochromic layer based on 1’,3’,3’-trimethyl-6-nitrospiro[2H-1-benzopyran-2,2’-indole] (6-nitroBIPS) was developed. The paper presents the results of tests of the filter conducted according to EN standards.

Opis:
The microstructures and mechanical properties of T92 martensitic steel/Super304 austenitic steel weld joints with three welding consumables were investigated. Three types of welding materials ERNiCr-3, ERNiCrCoMo-1and T-304H were utilized to obtain dissimilar welds by using gas tungsten arc weld (GTAW). The results show that heat affect zone (HAZ) of T92 steel consists of coarse-grained and fine-grained tempered martensites. The microstructures of joints produced from ERNiCrCoMo-1 consist of equiaxed dendrite and columnar dendrite grains, which are more complicated than that of ERNiCr-3. In the tensile tests, joints constructed from ERNiCrCoMo-1 and T-304H met the ASME standard. The highest fracture energy was observed in specimens with the welding material ERNiCrCoMo-1. Ni content in weld seam of ERNiCrCoMo-1 was highest, which was above 40%. In conclusion, the nickel alloy ERNiCrCoMo-1 was the most suitable welding material for joints produced from T92 martensitic steel/Super304 austenitic steel.

Opis:
The publications increasingly describe the support of production processes in both manufacturing and assembly areas. The support in industry is due, among other things, to the insufficient manpower, the need to improve productivity or to increase reliability of production in terms of errors. This article presents an example of an industrial implementation in the welding area. The main objective of the application of the presented example was to replace a commercial product and to speed up the manufacturing process of an axisymmetric workpiece of the sleeve type. The presented proposal was implemented in a company where welding is the main manufacturing technology.

The article presents an analysis of the macrostructure and mechanical properties of spot welds of joints made by Refill Friction Spot Stir Welding (RFSSW) method. RFSSW is a relatively new technology that is gaining wider use, not only in the automotive and aviation industries because it is a less energy intensive method than resistance spot welding. The primary focus of the article is the effect of welding time on the quality of the welded joints of sheet metal using the aforementioned method. The research was conducted on a joint between two pieces of sheet metal of various thicknesses (1.6 mm and 0.8 mm) made of a common aviation grade aluminium alloy 7075-T6 Alclad. Metallographic sections of select variants were made in order to analyze the structure of the joint. Strength tests with a static load were conducted in different loading configurations. A traditional tensile strength test was conducted on the lap joint, which revealed a complex stress state within the joint and an analogous test was conducted with the use of a stiffening holder that ensured a pure shear state in the joint. Peel tests were also performed on the lap joints with using a special holder.

Issues referring to cracks in the pipelines made of the 15HM steel are described. Metallographic specimen of welded joints are provided. The results of impact strength tests, hardness tests and static tensile tests are given. Tests results as well as direct and indirect causes of the pipeline cracks are shown.
