- Opis:
- The paper presents results of the research conducted in the stands with fir stripped by red deer in the territory of the Forest Experimental Station in Krynica (Beskid Sądecki). The average rate of wound closure expressed in the width of wound closure and the time needed for a wound to heal was determined on the basis of detailed analyses of bark−stripping wounds in the cut trees. Factors influencing wound closure were identified as well. In addition, a multiple regression model explaining about 51% of the variation of the wound healing time was presented.
