W artykule przedstawiono przykładową diagnostykę wtryskiwaczy na tych stanowiskach oraz stosowane metody regeneracji i kodowania wtryskiwaczy po regeneracji.
The article presents the methodology of Common Rail injector diagnostic, regeneration and regulation with use of professional test stands. The EPS 815 machine can be used to test and repair all BOSCH injectors fully satisfying the producer requirements and standards. The article describes an example injector diagnosis with use of such test stand and additionally presents appropriate injector regeneration and encoding techniques.

Opis:: The paper presents a results of vibration tests of common rail injectors operating in diesel engines. The most common methods of diagnosing common rail injectors (CR) as well as the most common damage of injectors of this type have been described. The results and analyzes of tests obtained during measurements on two different test stands were presented. Obtained results allowed for the preliminary determination of diagnostically sensitive parameters, which may allow the development of the injector diagnostics method without the need to stopping the engine.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań drganiowych wtryskiwaczy Common Rail pracujących w silnikach o zapłonie samoczynnym zasilanych. Opisano najpowszechniej stosowane metody diagnozowania wtryskiwaczy Common Rail (CR), jak również najczęstsze uszkodzenia wtryskiwaczy tego typu. Zaprezentowano wyniki i analizy badań uzyskane podczas pomiarów na dwóch różnych stanowiskach testowych. Uzyskane wyniki pozwoliły na wstępne określenie parametrów wrażliwych diagnostycznie, co może pozwolić na opracowanie metody diagnostyki wtryskiwaczy bez potrzeby zatrzymywania silnika.

Opis:: The paper presents a simplified methodology for generating the characteristic curve of fuel doses for common rail injectors, which consists in limiting the number of measurements on the test bench and calculating missing data using predefined (array) functions of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. This allows checking the method of fuel delivery in a wide spectrum of predefined pressures and atomiser opening times, while reducing the arduousness and time-consumption of the active experiment phase. The proposed solution is particularly useful in problematic situations when standard manufacturer's tests, referred only to selected work points, make it impossible to clearly assess the technical condition of the injector.

Opis:: The article presents a simplified methodology for testing Denso common rail electromagnetic injectors, which was based on an adjustment of idling fuel dosage. In order to determine the parameters significantly affecting this process, the design of experiments technique (DoE) was applied. Due to the non-linear course of the rates characteristics obtained on the diagnostic test bench, the trivalent fractional plan was used. Analysis of computational data has shown that the generated parabolic model is well suited to the actual measurement results, as the injector dosage is slightly out of projected values. The calculations were carried out in the STATISTICA computer program, which takes into account the specificity of the experimental theory methods and is one of the most universal tools available on the market. Innovation is the effective implementation of the proposed methodology in the repair process, which has not been taken into account in this regard yet.

Opis:: The paper presents the methodology of testing common rail fuel injectors, which consisted in extending the standard diagnostic procedures with the analysis of the resulting fuel delivery fields. The calculations were carried out in a popular spreadsheet, using Gauss's formulas (the so-called shoelace formula). In this way, the necessity to modify the test bench software was eliminated, as the analytical process took place after the end of the active experiment phase. It has been shown that the proposed solution should be particularly useful in problematic situations where clear-cut verification and assessment of the technical condition of the fuel injectors is sometimes difficult, as shown in the example. In addition, implementation in a digital environment allows the presented algorithms to be reused in research with a similar profile.

Opis:: The paper presents an example of regeneration of a common rail piezoelectric fuel injector, which was carried out with using used parts. The most important stages of maintenance activities are listed, as well as the types of diagnostic tests performed on separate test benches. The obtained results indicate that this process can be effectively carried out with existing technological problems and lack of support from the manufacturer. At the same time, it was shown that, contrary to popular belief, cannibalisation does not have to be limited only to minor elements, but also to key components important from the point of view of the satisfactory technical condition and correct working of the fuel injector during further operation.

Opis:: The paper presents the author's own method for testing piezoelectric common rail fuel injectors, which for many years were considered non-repairable components. This was mainly due to the lack of availability of spare parts and dedicated measuring equipment, enabling full diagnostics under test bench conditions. As a result, their workshop and laboratory servicing was very limited, as effective disassembly concerned basically only the plunger and barrel assembly (needle with nozzle) for selected reference models. The situation has now improved to such an extent that an author’s own regeneration procedure has been proposed with the replacement of the most important controls and actuators. The tests were carried out on the example of Siemens VDO Continental PCR 2.3 fuel injectors from one engine, listing the most important stages of this process, including the correction of fuel dosage and returns.
