Contemporary Russian drama is situated in a dialogue with literary and more precisely dramatic tradition. For example, this thesis clearly confirms a comedy by Igor Shpric On the bottom. The text at the level of its title refers to Maxim Gorky's play  The Lower Depths.  Shpric’s comedy parodies this work by presentingGorky's characters in the social and cultural context of contemporary reality. The main purpose of the paper is the intertextual analysis and interpretation of ironic Shpric’s comedy as the transcontextualization of language, poetics, themes, plot and characters ofGorky's text.

Opis:
From the moment of his literary debut in 1989, Michele Mari is considered to be the representative of classic tendencies in contemporary Italian literature. One of the most noticeable characteristics of his writing is the presence of autobiographic elements which appear in all his works with different intensity, but also the archaization of style and language, literary references and metaliterary reflexions. This article aims at showing how the 1992 novel La stiva e l’abisso connects two of those aspects of Mari’s writing: intertextuality and literary references to adventure novel genre, as well as it reflects on the role and value of the literature for the contemporary people. It analyses basic narrative instances, that is the narrator, narrative structure, place and time of events, in order to show how they result in metaliterary reflexion.

Published in 2006, Comment peut-on être français ? by Chahdortt Djavann, a partly epistolary novel, evokes the figure of Montesquieu’s Roxane. This article proposes an analysis of the representation of exile inscribed in three symbolic spaces: that of language, that of the female body and that of text. It is around these three concepts that this work is organized to study the alienation of the female subject in a Franco-Iranian intercultural position.

The aim of the paper is to survey theorizations of intertextuality as an ontological feature of translation, a line of thinking well represented in the East European translation studies as well as to show the purposes this paradigm has served in translational reflection. I investigate the concept(s) and applications thereof, and trace the interrelations between the ideas of various scholars. Intertextuality is shown to have served the following ends: locating translation among other forms of communication, explaining the mode of existence of translation, reclaiming for it the status of a rightful literary activity and defending it from charges of parasitism, probing translations’ interactions with other texts, constructing interdisciplinary approaches. Last but not least, intertextuality has recently been integrated into the very model of the translation process.

Tekst to „ mozaika cytatów”, którą nie sposób interpretować w oderwaniu od szeroko pojętej tradycji literackiej. Tak relacje pomiędzy tekstami określała w 1966 roku Julia Kristeva, formułując jednocześnie niezwykle ważne z perspektywy współczesnych badań literackich pojęcie intertekstualności. I choć termin ten doczekał się niezliczonych definicji, rozszerzeń i interpretacji – leżąca u jego podstaw i konstytuująca go intuicja teoretyczna pozostaje niezmienna. Aby mówić o jakichkolwiek relacjach intertekstualnych, należy bowiem znaleźć łącze pomiędzy danymi tekstami – nić przewodnią, która sprawia, że istnieją one nie obok siebie, lecz dzięki sobie. W pracy „Jeszcze jeden sen z czarnymi pazurami, może już ostatni” – poetyka surrealizmu i marzenia sennego w powieści Fakultet marzeń Sary Stridsberg przeprowadzona zostanie, w oparciu o aktualne badania intertekstualne, analiza książki Sary Stridsberg pt. Fakultet marzeń. Celem analizy będzie udowodnienie, że ta wydana w 2005 roku powieść jest źródłem licznych odniesień do sztuki surrealizmu i sformułowanych przez Freuda koncepcji marzenia sennego. Pierwsza część pracy – o charakterze teoretycznym poświęcona zostanie wyjaśnieniu i zestawieniu ze sobą już istniejących i oscylujących wokół pojęcia intertekstualności badań. Wskazane zostaną również zależności pomiędzy odmiennymi tworzywami – w tym wypadku pomiędzy słowem i obrazem, opisane zostanie również podjęcie tematu przenikania się tych dwóch mediów w dobie futuryzmu i surrealizmu. W dalszej części pracy przytoczone teorie zostaną przeniesione na grunt Fakultetu marzeń z zamiarem wykazania jego intertekstualnego charakteru. Pomimo, iż powieść Stridsberg poddawana była rozmaitym interpretacjom, analizy przebiegały głównie pod kątem pojawiających się w niej idei feministycznych – bohaterką książki jest wszak jedna z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych amerykańskich feministek – Valerie Solanas. Ciężko doszukać się takich interpretacji książki, które wskazywałyby na niezwykle ciekawą konwencję surrealistyczną, w jakiej została napisana. Odniesienia do poetyki surrealizmu pojawiają się bowiem nie tylko na płaszczyźnie opisowej dzieła, dostrzec je można także w sposobie kształtowania postaci i ich języka. Wpisanie dzieła w tradycję surrealizmu i realizowanie w nim jej podstawowych założeń umożliwia przede wszystkim zbudowanie nadrealnego świata marzeń i wyobraźni, współgrającego z fascynującym, burzliwym, zawieszonym pomiędzy dwoma światami życiem Valerie Solanas, które stało się bezpośrednią inspiracją do napisania książki. Takie świadome odwołania intermedialne i intertekstualne dodają Fakultetowi marzeń złożoności i wpisują powieść w szerszy kontekst literacko-kulturowy.
The purpose of this paper is, through an analysis of Sara Stridsberg's book The Dream Faculty,to demonstrate its intertextual dimension and show different relations to other texts that are included in it. The primary focus is on Sigmund Freud's theory of dreams and their interpretation as well as some of the surrealistic elements that the story contains.The first chapter describes Sara Stridsberg's works, summarizes her life as a writer and describes characteristics of her writing and working with images. Stridsberg's enormous interest in the radical feminist Valerie Solanas and her tragic life is treated as a central and extremely important in the whole process of writing of The Dream Faculty.The theoretical part explains the poststructual concept of intertextuality and explains how it has been defined by the greatest literary theorists. Firstly, i am writing about the Bulgarian linguist Julia Kristeva eho introduced the term intertextuality in 1966 and showed a strong dependence between different texts as well as polemicised with the comparative research method and spoke of something that is called new articulation. The French literary theorist Gerard Genette' s ideas are also discussed in the paper. His significant influence on the concept of intertextuality and his new terminology covered everything from genre, title and preface to quotations, allusions and plagiarism, and has considerably transformed and enriched the perception of the connection between texts.The essay is also about the relations between image and text and how they have evolved throughout the years with strong emphasis on the surrealistic tradition. The background to the Surrealist art and literature is briefly described, taking into account its theoretical grounds and development both worldwide and in Sweden.Finally, i am discussing the question of The Dream Faculty's intertextual character. Its imagery and all of the surrealistic features are analyzed based on the purposes of Surrealism. The essay actual purpose is realized by quoting selected fragments from the book and showing their relation to Freud's theories and Surrealism. The boundary between word and image disappears, enabling The Dream Faculty to be treated as an intertextual work and be placed in a wider artistic and literary tradition.

Mediality of Youthspeak The article concerns the problems in the functioning of youth sociolect in the cultural space. This expressive and playful linguistic register has gained popularity not only as a ‘speech of youth’, but also as a specific ‘code’ used to express a postmodern lifestyle, associated with the cult of youth, fun, dynamics, openness to different cultural practices. As such, it operates along the lines of “acceptative modes of expression” both in media discourse (eg. press, advertising, political, celebrity) and in artistic and paraartistic texts (eg. literary works, song lyrics, film forms, skits). In this context, an important question appears – whether youth speak and youth sociolect are still the same phenomenon?
